  1. I don't remember who they had interest in during the Lieber trader rumor's but i think it was Mench. All i know is that we need to move one of our OF's!
  2. Did i dream this or did they say they were moving there young closer from the playoffs to SP? Wainright?
  3. Personally i would not have minded the trade would have made more sense if we did not already have a barn full of infielders lol!
  4. I doubt the brewers will have any interest in him. First don't think we would be the leading bidder for his services and second i think like others that he'd like to go home to SD where they have a whole at second.
  5. If i had my choice i would keep CIrillo but i also would not have signed Craig Council either so who knows!
  6. When i read the title i said out loud "That Jim Leyritz"
  7. Like it for the Braves more right now. But Ramirez was hurt alot last year if he comes back strong could wing to the M's
  8. Roto world is reporting this: The Cubs are talking to the Nationals about Ryan Church, who could be an option to platoon with Matt Murton. The Nationals will want pitching back, which could mean Angel Guzman, Sean Marshall or Carlos Marmol. The Cubs surely won't consider parting with Sean Hill for the 28-year-old. Now if i remember right i really thought that CHurch was still in the dog house in washington for some reason. If the nationals can get one of those three pitching prospects from the cubs they should jump on it. I would have like to have church.
  9. Not really interested in him at all. Unless they would do a clark for hall trade!
  10. I want Penny would they do a jenkins/turnbow/prospect trade... I would keep him all three years also. He's ok with me!
  11. If the cubs can not trade Jones wonder if a zach jackson would get us murton?
  12. Garcia would be my choice of the three. But there is not alot of shot of the brewers getting him. I am really surprised how little activity there has been. Shaping up at least ot me to be a busy Wed and Thursday!
  13. That is a lot of money for a pitcher who could very well pitch half the season. But that being said i hope they sign him and it weekends there pitching even more. They should be looking younger not older.
  14. Matt wise it looks like. I would do that. I mean i like Wise but i like Ramirez too!
  15. Brad Hennessey in my eyes would be a an ok trade. Allows us to maybe make another move with one of our other pitchers! Hennessey will be serviceable!
  16. Penny would be my choice! I would give a pretty good haul to get him and would love to have our top three pitchers as Sheets, Penny and Cappy. And yes you can put those in any order you want. Don't want to start another thread arguing about the rotation with penny in it. Likely hood of it going down, under 5%!
  17. I like Lieber but i would like it alot more if the phillies would pay half of his salary i would do that if we payed 3.5 million. Come on Doug you got the Jays to pay for our third basemen do it to Gilick!
  18. I don't know if i am sold on Crisp? But maybe i could be talked in to it?
  19. Yeah we should look at moving him. But i'd be willing to give him one more year.
  20. Peter Brown wants Andruw Jones And i want to listen to Peter Brown with out shutting off the radio but we don't always get what we want!
  21. Yeah i get the feeling of a bigger move comming. But you never know with Doug. But would love to get a CF and young good SP and if we could get that i would move hardy or hall! edit: Nothing is for sure that hall will be as good this year as he was last year. So if a great deal comes along and we can capitalize on his good year why wait? Don't want to wait for another Turnbow!
  22. Additional confirmation. From the sound of the article it appears they are picking Counsell over Graffanino. If it came down to the same price, and i know it won't how would you pick counsell over graffanino i know i would not.
  23. Like i stated before it's really heated up trade rumors wise. Wonder how the traffic on brewerfan.net has spiked at all because of these rumors?
  24. Hmmm for how cold we were it seems like brewer rumors are heating up! Personally i would not trade Hall, unless i get a great haul in return and in that respect i do have a lot of faith in Melvin. But still not looking to move him. Turnbow is interesting i would want to keep him at least for one more year and make sure it was not just a freak season. We could really have a heck of a one two punch if we could get turnbow to pitch like before.
  25. Well cubs fans should at least be happy they are trying to add arms to that team. They still have not addressed the major problem from last year and that was the pitching staff. Thought Schmidt wanted to stay on the west coast so the cubs might have to over pay to get his services. But as a cubs fan i would like to have Schmidt in my rotation. Heck I would like the Brewers to have Schmidt too!
