Use to love stewart he was a pretty good player but i don't want to mess around with his injuries. Also why can't we just give the job to Hart. An OF of Jenkins/Hart/Hall is fine with me.
I would say No to the hall trade. Sure there is something better out there if we were in the market to trade him. Doubt we would ever do that. He's on the short list of untouchable Prince Cappy Hall Weeks
I could see Jenkins to the whitesox. If this was before the cubs trade i would have liked to get Cotts. But he's gone so looking at the roster i would like to get sean tracey? But don't think that will happen.
ESPN is reporting that Baltimore is now competing with Houston for Carlos Lee. If i am Lee i would rather play for the Astros. But Baltimore if i remember is a pretty good hitters park. But he would explode in Houston and as I have stated before he would not have to cover that much ground in houston.
Jenkins, Turnbow and Davis for Garland? I kind of like that deal but i am not sold on garland yet. Living close to chi and hearing sox fans they either lover or hate him. Seems like a risky bet for us.
As a Carlos Lee fan I think going to the astros can only be good for him. Sure we would have to face him, but he is going to put up good numbers and won't be exposed in LF. Looks like he's either a cub or an astro!
When Beltre put up those out of the world numbers i said it was too good to be true. We don't need him and i would not trade for him. Give me Koskie over him any day!
Also heard that besides the Red Sox that the M's are also looking at Ohka as well. Should be fun to see where he lands. If he can get with the M's i like him alot better pitching wise.
Depends on how much a certain team/GM value TGJ. He's speed is a plus but he can't hit for much so i see him as a 4th/5th OF. But would look at a trade if they came to us with it.
3yrs/16 million might be a little to much to pay for roberts at that price i would let any other team sign him and that just might be the case with our windy city neighbors to the south.
If Drew stays healthy he is a good signing for them. He is also a pretty good CF if i remember right so that would fill the hole there. Like I have said before i am not going to put anything past the cubs. They are in a win it now mode and are going to go for it.
Basically i think that 120 million might be an understatement! They did not make the move for Pinella to bring in a youth movement when opening day starts expect them to have added quite a bit of pop and pitching to the team. With the resigning of Wade Miller they having added an arm that will challange for the 5th spot in that rotation. They will most likely try to convince wood to come back as a reliever at a reduced/incentive contract. I read somewhere that they might be interested in Dave Roberts as there leadoff hitter. If they actually do sign Roberts that would be a smart signing. I don't think they want Juan Pierre back. This could be a busy offseason and one that could either help the cubs win the division or put the final nail in the coffin! Here's how i view there 2006 lineup Now i have not heard any rumors of Loretta going to the cubs but he just fits in to the older vet mode that they look to be going in. Adding Loretta gives them great hitting and some good defense. I really think that they are going to resign Ramirez and also add Lee. Roberts makes sense as their CF. But might be giving them to much credit by adding him. For the pitching staff call it a hunch but i have a a feeling that they will be in the running for Matsuzaka. If they add him and Prior comes back healthy from his annual injuries they have a pretty good pitching staff. I also look for them to look at the bull pen and might address the closer role before all is said and done. Sorry this may not make sense just got back from a party! C Barrett 1 Lee 2 Loretta 3 Ramirez SS Izturis LF Lee RF Jones/ Murton CF Roberts SP) Zambrano SP) Matsuzaka SP) Prior (inury) SP) Hill/ Marshal SP) Miller
Hmmm why does he scream Redsoxs? But i could also see him getting more money just to play with the dodgers. I may be dumb but why do so many teams give the players the ablity to opt out after so many years?
If the Cards make it to the World Series I will be cheering for the tigers. I can not stand the Cards! I will not watch the Series. That being said go mets!
Maddux if he does want to play longer would most likely look at the west coast first. I have a feeling the dodgers would not mind having him back. Also i know the padres are in the market to spend money and he would look good at Petco! Don't want him!
Pierre is not going to be a brewer! Granted i don't think we have better in house options but i don't think we need to spend the money it would take for him to come to milwaukee and slap hit the ball around the infield!
Well i would hope that if the cubs do trade for A-Rod that they would insist that he at least move back to SS. Otherwise you can bet Ramirez would opt out pretty darn fast! But if the cubs can keep Ramriez that's a pretty good lineup that they have!
A-Rod's numbers really could only improve playing at Miller Park, Wrigley, Minute Maid and Great American Ball Park. I don't think it's out of this world to think he could hit 60?
