    Davis with another 20 pitch inning. He'll be out after the 5th with this pace. My prediction is Doug will not make exactly 20 pitches next inning.

    Anybody else nervous about penciling in Victor into next year's rotation? You read my mind. I was just about to post something to that effect. He's OK, but he's hardly consistent with his pitches, and might well turn out to be one of those failed-starter-turned-good-reliever types.

    I just watched the scouting video on Periard, and he looks rather like a young Cal Eldred to me. He comes right over-the-top with his delivery, and he repeats his delivery surprisingly well given his age. He also throws his change and curve out of basically the same arm slot, so while none of his pitches were great, he disguised them all pretty well, and he only has room to get better. Really came away impressed with him, though that high arm slot on the delivery may be some cause for worry. Would definitely take it easy with him early on.

    This guy almost seems Power 50 good right out of the gate. I look forward to the Brewers making some bigger splashes in foreign markets (including Canada!) like this as opposed to signing 40 guys that never make it past rookie ball.

    This is a travesty. George Steinbrenner is demanding a forfeit for both teams, giving the Yankees 2 extra wins. Last time the Brewers played only 161 games? '99. Edit: And I'm pinning this. Game Thread, representin'.

    Lyle Overbay had 3 (!) doubles during the month of August. On the 7th day of September, he has already matched that total.

    Craig Wilson actually has 26, Toby, but he sucks against Sheets and so he's not playing. Yah, I know. I was comparing the two lineups. However, "clarity" is not the word of the day for me.

    One of the guys is threatening to invade the Brewerfan message boards. I bet he'll make 3-5 innocuous posts, and then come all-out. Why not just get his IP address from the FZC site admin ahead of time and block him now?

    Also be warned that if your offended by something, they probably cover it. If you're adverse to the f-bomb, just don't go.
