  1. Is this going to be on a bus, or something?
  2. Why do fans "deserve" anything? It's not like it's some extremely difficult job to be a fan of a team, or that you are required to be one. I honestly hope that the fans are the very last thing on Doug Melvin's mind when he makes a move.
  3. I'd assume the A's game will be on FX in WI, am I right?
  4. Well, there's Barry Zito/Doug Davis, again. 2 runs is probably asking a lot from the A's offense against a LHP, considering Macha didn't play Kielty.
  5. I picked A's over Cards at BP in the Predictatron contest. I'm not going to win it, but I think I'm in the top 100 or something.
  6. There could be a team that has a scout that watched Krynzel in H.S. and some in the minors and thinks he can still be a big leaguer. The Brewers probably never would have gone after Gross in that trade if Ash wasn't there, for instance.
  7. Rodgers Well, Rogers has the highest ceiling out of all of them, he's a Verlander in the making. I don't think the making will ever be completed, but the potential is there.
  8. Branyan just owns Carpenter. He's now 5-12 with a HR and 5 BB against him.
  9. I despise Woody Williams.
  10. That, because he believes it. The whole thing is up to him, I think he'll stay. If he wants to be on a winner, which he does, his best chance will always be with the Yankees.
  11. he's going to approve a trade "I've never run from problems. I don't want to go anywhere. I'm committed to come back and have a monster year." "I'm 100 percent committed to being a Yankee. That's the only place I want to play." Like I said - he wants to stay there and prove himself to these idiot fans.
  12. What happened to them always saying he was overrated? I'll point out if you want to hear really horrible sports talk, listen online to WFAN in NY. The rumors and stuff they come up with are usually hillarious. Blalock's not even close to being a FA, and Giambi is going to be virtually impossible to trade.
  13. I actually think he'd elect to stay in NY - I think he wants to prove very badly that he belongs there.
  14. YOUNG PITCHING. The Brewers do have some of that, too.
  15. Probably SS, I would think. He's still the best SS on the Yankees, too.
  16. I like Bill Hall, but I'd rather have A-Rod. I'll still be shocked if the Yankees trade him, though.
  17. Because of Plaschke's fawning depictions of him in his columns.
  18. This is the one series where I have no rooting interest. I guess I can't stand Maddux, so I'm pulling for the Mets tonight. Of course, I hate Bill Plaschke, Grady Little, and Ned Colletti, too, but LoDuca is one of my least favorite players. Of course, the McCourts, are horrible, too. It's a tough call. Go evil of two lessers!
  19. arod for co co? ehhhhhhhh that is tough ...to pass up. That'd be an absolute heist.
  20. I don't even like the Tigers, but I've got to admit to welling up when they lifted Leyland on their shoulders.
  21. Well, really I think today's lesson just strengthens how meaningless a sample five games is. The Yankees offense just picked a bad time to suck. Not that I'm not glad to see it, of course.
  22. Cano's just as responsible for that run. His play on that blooper that Guillen hit was terrible. It seems that he has seen Jeter turn routine plays into highlight reel plays often enough that he decided to give it a shot himself. That was awful.
  23. Oh yeah, I also realize that the Yankees will obviously win today, and Melky Cabrera will do something that makes him a clutch playoff God on the level of a Chad Curtis, and make Torre look like a genius. Still, just because you make a wing and a prayer move like this, and it works out, doesn't make it the right move.
  24. A-Rod's hitting 8th today. To me, that's Torre selling him out. Now the media idiots will make it out like Torre had his hand forced by A-Rod's "unclutchiness", had to move him to 8th, and disrupted the "chemistry" of the lineup. He wants to keep his job. Of course, this will lend itself to people who mock A-Rod, who will call him "8-Rod". This doesn't help the situation, at all. But if you don't start Jason Giambi in the playoffs (he isn't today), you should lose your job.
