  1. What exactly was the Carpenter's son story, again? Was that the deal after the brawl?
  2. This was bound to happen, and they have the nice excuse of blaming it all on one game.
  3. Of course, he could have used Dillard for multiple innings, since he pitches once an eon at the moment. I know I could look it up, but isn't Dillard back in AAA? No.
  4. Of course, we'll get to see the "sinkerballers need to pitch five times a week to stay sharp" logic instead.

  6. I might be crazy, but I enjoyed heel Cole, but then when he got into the vague not really a heel but not rooting for the face character, it was weak. They need to make King a heel again, too. He sucks otherwise. He's a born heel. One would think if he's back with JR, he will become one, since when they tried the JR heel turn back in the day it fell on it's face... the glory days of Fake Diesel and Fake Razor.
  7. No question. That should really help them. They are probably going to run away and hide with the division, but I guess I still can't pick anyone to win the AL but one of the monsters from the East (I think Boston will win the World Series, actually). Regardless, nice moves. If they want, they can stretch Feliz out next spring and hand over the 9th to Adams.
  8. I thought it was 5 stars when you add in the ending of the broadcast with him leaving with the belt. And Punk deserves credit, it's really hard to have a good match with Cena involved.
  9. The last three years, actually.
  10. Yes. I'd bet Hairston gets fewer than 10 starts at SS.
  11. He's pretty much Casey McGehee the last year. And pretty much as horrible on the road as at home. Pittsburgh did nothing to help themselves with either trade they made. They should have just stood pat and realized they are not going to be relevant much longer this year.
  12. Not to mention a few years of control of Rasmus, who could be just below a star caliber player.
  13. He has to be hurt. He has too team-friendly of a contract for a team that is really not that far from contention to trade him otherwise.
  14. I'd be all for it. Need as many guys on the bench as possible who will give a good AB every time.
  15. They just don't have many (any?) guys as good as Punk. He's a great worker, great on the stick, over with the fans, has good psychology in his matches, etc. Pretty close to the total package. Too bad he doesn't drink beer. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  16. They may have over paid but Pence is really good maybe overrated but what player isn't overrated by the media and fans? Guys that hit .260 and are better than Pence.
  17. Yeah, Pence has been ridiculously overrated since day one. Great job by the 'Stros.
  18. That's Barmes saying "let me play here all the time!"
  19. Has RR been watching Major League over and over? Geez.
  20. It seems to me they should position him as an anti-hero. Screw stables, let him be a man alone. He gets huge pops when he comes out already. He can seriously be Austin-esque.
  21. My guess is with so many teams feeling like they have a chance, there will be a lot of waiver deals done rather than pre-deadline deals. To me, that's where the Brewers will add more players.
