  1. Well, this is better than Farris, and as I said previously, better than Wilson and/or Counsell.
  2. Did I not read something about "playing the hot hand" at 2B until Weeks gets back? How can you get hotter?
  3. If he's not forcing the organization's hand now, I don't know that he ever will.
  4. Oh, yeah, I think once a wrestling fan, always a wrestling fan. It just takes the right angle to hook you again. I certainly agree on less Mysterio. He brings nothing to the table since he bulked up. The 619 has to be the most idiotic move. I'd love to see more Orton as a heel, I guess just because I am partial to heels and think he has a lot of talent if he were to do that... and drop the stupid pounding the mat and looking menacing thing. So lame. I think even though I don't watch that much, I will always love wrestling theory, or whatever you would call it. Not sure if anyone here listens to this, but check out the "Formerly Creative" podcast: http://iwantwrestling.com/podcasts/
  5. The thing that really sucks is that they are building to an anti-climactic WrestleMania main event. You know good and well they will have the strap on Cena for that match... and what would be the point of booking Rock to win when he is just going to go away right after it? I think that a Cena heel turn is something they need to seriously consider. Like I said, I'm pretty casual these days, but even I am bored every time I watch him. He gets beat up, comes back (this is when he does his People's Elbow impression), gets beat down again, Hulks up, and hits the AA and wins. Wow, how breathtaking! I'd rather see a big boot followed by the leg drop than Cena's gimmick.
  6. Punk could be almost a Stone Cold type of character, but they'll blow it.
  7. [quote author=jmeks23 wrote: [/b]And I've said this before, but if Green was one of the players, why wouldn't the Mets have just taken him (ie Green and a PTBNL instead of 2 PTBNL) Because he could get injured and they weren't going to have him on their big league roster this season. Why have it happen on their watch? If he had a major injury happen pre-September 1, they'd have to pay for it.
  8. They're totally going to get Sir Alex.
  9. Right. Since they are a publicly traded company, they tend to rush everything to try and make cash on it as soon as possible.
  10. I think the Cubs would be willing to trade him anywhere if he would waive his no trade clause. Then it comes down to who has more to offer, and the Brewers bring a knife to a gunfight there.
  11. Kennedy is pretty much an older Lopez. I'd rather have Lopez.
  12. I pretty much agree. I have mainly just been watching passingly lately, but I downloaded the Money In The Bank PPV and thought that match was awesome. I haven't watched Raw since, but I was shocked that someone could carry Cena to a five star match. I was definitely anticipating that they would hold off on him until right before Summerslam and then main event with Punk vs Cena. While watching the PPV I was all but certain they would do a stupid Del Rio vs Cena match there. One thing that I love in wrestling is a worked shoot, and they did it to perfection in the lead-up to MITB. Now they need to go back to TV-14 and start making money again and making entertaining TV. And to turn Orton into a mega-heel. He's awful as a face.
  13. He has only had 2-3 really good seasons as a hitter including that season with the Brewers. It isn't like he was a good hitter and has been bad since 2009. No doubt, it's a lightning in a bottle/throw it at the wall and see what sticks move, but that's pretty much their choices.
  14. There's been one full season since he was a Brewer. That's not like it's five years or something. And I think he's been released all of one time.
  15. I think Lopez is a pretty decent cash pickup, though. I'm not saying to just plug him in and play him every day, but it's not like he's 40, and he's had some pretty successful seasons in the past. I'd take him over Farris, Counsell, or Wilson pretty quickly. Since Taylor Green is a Met in Brewers clothing, I'm not really optimistic they are going to fill this with someone who will do more than help the team tread water.
  16. As I said in the IGT last night, Greinke has a decent shot at 200 K's after missing a month. That's insane.
  17. That's a bummer. I know a lot of people here have loved his work for years.
  18. Man, that would be awesome. Has to be the only infield that could possibly be defensively worse than McGehee/Betancourt/Weeks/Fielder.
  19. Wow. That's just puzzling and stupid. I get good Brewer vibes going and Roenicke just comes along and destroys them.
