  1. A great pickup. Hopefully we didn't give up jeffress too, but even if we did its still a great trade. Seems like Doug realizes his seat was getting a little hot and made some moves accordingly.
  2. If this happens, doug needs a raise, or a statue, or something.
  3. Agreed. It would be great to have him, but if not, we are still doing pretty well.
  4. Agreed. Losing Cain and Escobar would hurt, however they are replaceable. A no hit SS with decent range isn't that hard to find in baseball. While Gomez isn't exactly a great CFer, he can do for now. Hart, Braun, Weeks, Casey and Prince can carry the offense.
  5. I just happen to sleepily check this forum before going to bed. I had NO CLUE this was happening(working 12 hrs a day kills my sports info). Looks like I've got a lot of catching up to do.
  6. It's too bad, i had high hopes for Butler going into last year(i think most of us did). Oh well, hopefully he can rebound and earn his spot back.
  7. He turned down some 2 year deals apparently. He has a lot of loyalty to ilitch, nice to see.
  8. I'll take him over pavano. If they will eat most of the contract, it's a deal i'd like to see get done quickly. Obviously he isn't my first choice, but i don't see a lot of better options out there right now.
  9. Agreed. The guy can not only help the team on the field this year, but hopefully he can teach the young kids some professionalism and his own trade secrets to help them develop as players. For $5 million, it's not a bad deal for either side.
  10. The better helmets actually make it worse. The players think they are safer, so they act more like human torpedoes(happens at the lower levels too) and fling themselves around with reckless abandon. The NFL doesn't care about Concussions, they have always just ignored them.
  11. I've been looking for a while, and i am a member at realtree.com forums and the GON forums(i have land down there), but i can't find any Wisconsin specific forums that have decent traffic. Can anybody help?
  12. Since it was used as a descriptive term, i think it does. It's no different than saying a tall guy sitting next to him, or a man with a Russian accent. It helps paint a more detailed picture of what is happening.
  13. If only there was a way to convey sarcasm.... clicky clicky
  14. PMs sent(in the order they were received), and remember, it's first come, first serve.

  16. Who are we, the Bucks? No way do the brewers retire the number for sheets. Give him a walk of fame spot(maybe, and i think that might be a reach), and leave it at that. I wish the brewers would take a similar approach to retiring numbers that the Red Sox have. Spend the majority of your career with the team, and be a hall of famer. Yes, that would rule out Fingers(although he has really taken to Milwaukee over the past 15 years or so, thus helping his case for deserving the honor) and Cooper from ever getting their numbers retired, but it would keep conversations like this from rising up. I do not want mediocre players, or guys who spend one or two years with the team to have their numbers retired(too late i know). This should be an honor reserved for those who are not only some of the greatest of all time, but also guys who are Milwaukee Brewers through and through.
  17. CraigsNotifica might be my favorite. That thing is awesome. Torrent-fu is great, and allows me to download torrents from my phone onto my utorrent client. mint.com (great to have my finances at the touch of my finger). TreKing(for CTA in chicago)
  18. I'm fine with whoever, just as long as someone can pick up the ball.
  19. I have the Opening Day schedules from 07, 08 and 09 for sale/trade. Random brewer stuff(like this year's magnet), or straight cash works too. They aren't in MINT condition, but there are no visible scratches or anything on em. I currently have 1 from 09, three from 08, and 2 from 07. PM me or email me at seanslappey@gmail.com
  20. OldSchoolSnapper, where do you live(pm me if you don't feel comfortable saying on here)? i'm not sure if i need them shipped or not.
  21. Payment sent Oldschoolsnapper. Thanks for doing this.
  22. I'm in for two, a Nitschke in 54(or 56 if available), and a Blue Barry Sanders in 50. Let me know who needs the money, and i will get it to you upfront via paypal(or check, but PP is faster)
