I wasn't there at the start of the game(got there late due to a friend having to work late). However i was sitting on the 3B side when he left the game. A good deal of clapping and a decent amount of people standing and applauding for him when he left. I didn't hear any boos at all.
The cubs will come back to earth, yes they are a good team(good meaning high 80s to low 90s in wins), but not a great one. Man, if Yo doesn't get hurt, how many more wins to we have at this point in the season?
You say they often gain velocity as they get older, how much could be expected? Is 5-7 MPH too much to expect? This guy would be perfect if he could hit low 90s with his fastball. I am a bit worried about taking another HS RHP, his arm action sounds like he is less of an injury risk.
Really? I thought Gamel was a pretty bad defender. Or did i not realize he has improved this year(i haven't been paying that close attention to him this year)?
I wouldn't mind a slightly higher pay(12-14M a year) for 3 years. Of course the way he is pitching now, i doubt he would sign anything less than 15/yr.
I'd like to see him in MIL. IIRC from my MLB 2k7 days, doesn't he have a good fastball(like, mid 90s good)? Will he end up here? i doubt it, but i would love to see doug try.
I'll be honest, when i saw bush was pitching today, i had this as a loss. Glad to see i was wrong. Hopefully this game is the turning point for him, as i really want to see him do well.
