  1. I liked gabe alot. However he was probably not going to get much playing time once TGJ and Cameron comes back. We got what could be a future BP guy for him, and it gives him a chance to play more than he would have here. Best of luck to ya Gabe, you were always a good guy.
  2. Except that McClung would be claimed on waivers making the situation all that much more difficult. I think that the Brewers, given how they've used Turnbow which I think is a mistake, would rather hang onto McClung at this point rather than Turnbow. McClung has absolutely filthy stuff, and if he can throw his breaking ball over consistently for strikes, he could be the Brewers next closer, or even slide back into that rotation and be a huge get for this team. of course that's not likely, but it's more likely at this point than Turnbow becoming the closer again which I don't believe will happen. Plus T-bow makes 3.25 million, and I'm sure the Tigers, Phillies, Indians...any number of teams would gladly take that contract off our hands for him. I've gone back and forth on McClung but at this point, I'd like to see how it plays out rather than watch him become the next Bobby Jenks for another team. I guess you have a higher opinion of McClung than i do. I don't see him getting claimed.
  3. Bush is moved to the 'pen, McClung is sent down.
  4. That's exactly what worries me so much. My brain says it's nothing, and he'll be fine. My heart knows better, and is fearing for the worst.
  5. So if the Brewers, Cards and Cubs continue to play well, will the NLC will be refered to as Comedy Central? Or will we finally lose that moniker?
  6. Really? Ugh, that's disappointing for me. Hopefully if it sells out, they can put something more permanent in next year.
  7. I hope he doesn't have a day off for the rest of the year as that means they have the lead in the 9th every game : ) Plus he is only here for a year so who care if we burn him out.. If he's burned out come September(due to overuse now) i'll be pretty angry.
  8. Gagne is pitchin real well right now. Hopefully he can get the day off tomarrow. Oh yea, and we are now a 1/2 game back of first again!
  9. If Sheets makes his next start, let's hope Ned has him on a pitch limit next start.
  10. http://moviesmedia.ign.com/movies/image/article/703/703482/24-scrubs-02_1146121812.jpg The Todd approves this thread
  11. Great pics. I didn't think the bouncer would let you guys stand on the bar like that. Pretty cool.
  12. I could be wrong here(and knowing me, i probably am), but it seems Livan has always had high pitch counts(#1 in PAP from 05-07, and is #7 so far this year) and continues to put up decent numbers. The guy is amazing.
  13. A shift that does it's job 85% of the time still fails 15% of the time. Besides, isn't the defensive alignment up to someone else(i wanna say Svuem or a bench coach), not Ned?
  14. Yep. It was great when Harry did it(it was his thing, he did it when he was with the White Sox too), but having jerkwad after jerkwad come and do it every game is lame.
  15. They haven't been throwing back real balls at wrigley since the mid 80s, it's a stupid tradition that no longer has any real meaning.
  16. Ugh, isn't it gametime yet? I wanna watch some baseball here!
  17. Cubs are the second best team in baseball right now huh? I guess i can understand putting them that high, but having the Blue Jays in the top ten is so silly it makes my head hurt.
  18. Yea, i was listening to sports radio the other day and they brought it up. Apparently there was 20-30 balls thrown onto the field after the HR. Makes no sense at all, but then again, it is Wrigley... (pared back long quote --1992)
  19. Good lord, 21 innings? Some buddy get some coffee for these guys!
  20. Already on it. http://forum.brewerfan.net/viewtopic.php?t=12215
  21. What channel is this on, ESPN?
  22. 1. I think he's a decent manager yes. He can take mediocre teams and make em good, but i don't see him being the kind of coach who makes good teams great. 2. Mark Prior - yes, atleast as far as i can tell. Kerry Wood - no. From what i have heard, Wood's injuries are due to his mechanics. He refuses to change them even tho management has been trying to get him to change them for years now. 3. No, i don't think they would have been able to beat the Yankees even if they made it. 4. Honestly, i think it's a toss up, but if Ned wasn't here, we wouldn't have Mike Maddux. I think he is the difference maker between the two. So i'll stick with Ned.
  23. With Dusty as thier manager, i expect those arms to hit 200 easy. That spells doom for the Reds not only for this season, but possibly for several years to come. If there is one thing Dusty Baker is good at, it's ruining young pitchers.
