  1. Someone who either stays home to watch the game or shows up at the stadium to do more than hang out in the parking lot. It's called enjoying summer. We don't bother anyone. Bother anyone, no. And if it's a game against say, the Pirates(who won't sell out) i have no problem with it. However, i do have a problem when it's a sold out game and People who paid to go to the game can't use the team's parking lot(opening day, Cubs series, ect). That is when it's a problem.
  2. YES! This has made my day. Edit - Pared back long nested quote. Please do not quote whole posts unless you have a special reason to. - Toby
  3. I agree with FtJ, i think the Reds are really the bigger threat than the Cards this year.
  4. Rickey, I worked as an Usher for several years(i quit two years ago when it stopped being fun for me), and i am shocked to hear some of the guys doing that. It didn't happen when i was there(we weren't allowed to buy the bobbles either, we only got em if there were any left over at the end of the night). That really sickens me to know that's happening. If i were you, i would call and ask for the head of Event Services(the guy in charge of the Ticket takers/Ushers, they are the ones who handle the Bobbles) and ask for Jerry. He runs that dept(or atleast he did when i was there). I would complain. He's a good guy and i am sure he will get to the bottom of it. I'm sorry that you and your son had to see that, but atleast it has come to light and we as fans can do something about it. Also, let Jerry know about the nice woman. There is actually an Employee of the Month thing, where they get free tickets, IIRC. She should win HANDS DOWN.
  5. Yea, i could see the brewers paying Sheets 12/13 million a year, but not anything more than that. This is his last year here.
  6. I was thinking the same thing. We have used our BP a little more than i liked so far this year. Giving them all an extra day's rest before an off day is excellent.
  7. Time for a blowout. I fully expect the A Team to be in today and to whup up on the giants. Zito isn't near the pitcher he used to be. Let's git em boys!
  8. I was actually able to do that this year with just my 20-game Sunday Pack. I specifically found the seats I wanted last year. Wrote them down. And as soon as the season ended, I talked to my ticket rep and said "I would like Seat A and Seat B for the Sunday Package next year." He made it happen. Now, I actually think I have the best seats in the entire Terrace Reserve. So next year I think I might need to upgrade to the full season if I want to keep these great seats. But that does seem fair. I've always had fantastic service & luck with the Brewer's Ticket reps. I know last year on my Fan's Choice, I had a game coming up where the seats were not satisfactory. (Behind home place, with the Big Pole obstructing part of LF) I contacted my ticket rep and said that I wasn't happy with my view - since it was partially obstructed - I sent in my tickets and he got me new & better seats. That's exactly what i did as well. You and i must be the lucky ones, i've never really had a problem with a season ticket rep.
  9. I prefer Milwaukee on the front just because it looks nice.
  10. I think Miller Park needs the field turf. They don't get enough sun in there to grow it well, and have always had problems with the grass looking good. Heck, it looked horrible for the Home Opener.
  11. They could just disown the sister and get a new girlfriend, right? I know I would. I already turned some of her family to the good side. It's just a matter of time brother.
  12. woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. Lots of booze tonight!
  13. Parra stays because he'd be the only lefty in the rotation(and IMO as good as bush is right now), Bush moves to the LR role and McClung gets sent to Nashville.
  14. Honestly Fondy, i think it's a little of both. The giants could be the worst team in baseball IMO.
  15. Where in the world did you find that gem? baseballreference?
  16. I saw a weeks, Hall, and i think fielder displayed. Other than that, i wasn't really looking.
  17. Get's get the third tomarrow boys! Nice win!
  18. I have a few bobbles(82 Simmons and an 82 Vuck) as well as an OD Magnet i can trade for one. Someone PM me if interested.
  19. Well, my Man Crush on Manny Parra begins the 2008 Season. Let's go Manny!
  20. I actually didn't see alot of drunks, but i had a bunch of cool older guys in my section(mostly in thier 50s if not mid 60s). I had tons of fun talkin baseball with those guys.
  21. That's awesome. I do a lot of listening at night, and the only signal(sportswise outside of 620) i get in Walworth county is 670 the score. I'll have to check out 540 now.
  22. I think Rluz is right. They probably won't change em til Monday or so. That being said, ESPN is still worthless.
  23. Is it Clutch? Ha! well played Reds.
  24. How far is 540's station heard from? I didn't know ESPN moved to them(last i knew they were on 1510 or something like that).
  25. It is. I forgot about that. http://forum.brewerfan.net/viewtopic.php?t=2971
