Flying in from LA for both games...sec 123 right behind the camera well by the Phils dugout Saturday. I'll be the dude with the Jerry Augustine jersey and the big grin...with my Dad who is still mad that the Braves moved. I cannot wait. I want to track down GormanHarvey at the game and buy him a beer...that is one fan that never lost faith even in the abyss. If there is a 10th man in my book...it's him!!!

I don't know how they add two more teams. Some of the recent adds are not exactly thriving. Tampa Bay made the playoffs and had poor attendance. Florida is a disaster. Weren't we trying to contract teams a few years ago. New cities would have to build stadiums and fill them...neither will be easy to do in this economic climate. I think they should stick with what they've got. 4 teams in each league gives everyone a shot, but keeps it special to actually make the playoffs. The NBA and NHL regular seasons are a joke...I'd hate to see baseball's 162 game season be as meaningless as theirs.

Good choice Dale. I think that McClung may have been the difference. He knows Yo is 4-5 innings max. To have a long reliever he is confident in to back him up makes a difference. Villy too with Parra & Shouse to get Howard out. Soup in that band box scares me...he's just not that healthy. Bush has earned the start this year. When he's off, he can be brutal, but he has delivered for most of the year. Yo/McClung CC Bush Short hook Soup with all hands on deck CC

I do feel bad for Ned. How can you not? It's human nature. You may not have thought he was a great manager or even a great guy, but the guy did give his all to the team for 5.93 seasons and right at the time they were about to hit the big payoff...he becomes Pete Best. I heard DM, Braun, Sveum and Yount all mention Ned yesterday. It's obvious that despite him not being very popular with those of us here on this site, he had formed a bond with many in the organization. As others have mentioned, this could create a problem between DM & Mark A...and we NEED DM. There is no way to tell if this would have happened with or without Ned. I could make just as many arguments we would have wrapped it up sooner with him as missing it with him. It's 12 games...who knows?

All day I kept thinking Mota would come on and give up the game...and the Mets fans would go nuts that their villified cast off would cost us the game. Then our villified cast off comes up and delivers the big dong. Unreal...way to go Wes!!!

If we are just patient at the plate, we'll get to one of these relievers.

To keep my kids occupied, we opened up a pack of baseball cards. My 6 year old pulls out a Ryan Braun...coincidence...I think not!!! We're now playing flip and I'm trying to get that Braun card off of her...is that wrong???
