  1. Against a rookie for sure. If your Braun or Fielder...go up hacking, but not when your struggling.
  2. Bad call yes, but Rickie has to work the count for a pitch inside. He hasn't been able to hit outer half since the injury. He's not healthy so he has to be smart. His recent homers were both inside fastballs he could pull.
  3. I'm a little late but spot on...this is where TLR outmanaged RR. Save your worst pitcher (and I like Estrada) for their worst hitters.
  4. Bad pitching in the first, bad luck since...and now Jackson has his groove. Tough to be optimistic here.
  5. Why couldn't that happen with Braun up. At a minimum they've cleared the pitcher.
  6. I liked the green light 3-0, but Jackson did a great job coming back.
  7. Keep getting that ball up Edwin...we'll light him up high in the zone.
  8. Good catch...tipping the hat to his buddy Aaron. Any sightings of him at the game? I hope we play a little better than the last celeb fest at MP.
  9. Wow...bailed out there. We can totally get to Jackson. He's the type of pitcher the Brewers match up well against.
  10. Marcum is a very good pitcher...we wouldn't be here without him, but he is done this year. Narveson is a better option at this point. He's either not healthy or just gassed.
  11. Any word on how/when that happened?
  12. Jack Moore weighs in on Marcum from fangraphs. Great analysis... http://www.fangraphs.com/...-shaun-marcum-burnt-out/
  13. I'm not a big fan myself, but in LA (big media market that it is)...this is the Lakers town. I love the reference to the Brewers as the "40-year old virgins" of baseball...that's pretty funny.
  14. Could not agree more. With a day off tomorrow and two long guys in the pen, if Marcum looks too shaky I wouldn't hesitate to Johnny Wholestaff this thing. I'm still concerned about Marcum's health/effectiveness. The ball may be jumping with the roof open tonight...he has to keep that ball down. Narveson has been effective against them.
  15. Great move by the Brewers. Just another reminder Brewers fans...please don't forget your designated driver tonight.
  16. Great point...don't forget St. Louis transplant Bob Costas. I've actually enjoyed all those guys over the years...I even like Joe Buck (I know, I'm in the minority). Ragging on BA is just sour grapes...the guy is a true pro. He was not homering on Braun's first shot. He did get excited on Prince's shot, but it was a defining moment in the game that any announcer would have gotten jacked for. It's the drama of the situation not the team or being a homer announcer. I really like this announcing team. BA is great, Darling is as blunt as they come and Smoltz is solid too...not sure about that goofy sideline reporter, but overall they are solid.
  17. Great call...that would be epic. If we win this thing, maybe Plush could get on there...Bleep Yeah!
  18. I would say Molina is a rabid punk, but somewhere there's probably a pretty good band called the Rabid Punks, and I wouldn't want to hurt their feelings. Hilarious. This was the best I could find...maybe they could play behind the stadium after a game... http://www.myspace.com/rabidpunkguitars
  19. I have to go Cards in 7...heartbreak city. The Cards are a deeper hitting team with better defense. Their pitching staff has been on a roll...especially Carpenter and their bullpen has been shored up. I think the Brewers have issues with their starting pitching. Gallardo has never fared well against the Cards and it's my suspicion that Marcum is hurt. I expect Greinke to pitch well and even our lefties aren't bad matchups. Weeks ankle is really hurting us in the middle of the order and at some point our bad defense has to cost us a game. Sure hope I'm wrong.
  20. Red Schoendienst. I sent this e-mail to a Cards fan buddy, overly dramatic, yes but it's what I'm feeling right now...here's an excerpt... Despite my deep affection for you as a great friend, I hate your favorite baseball team with every fiber of my being. It it the type of irrational hate that has caused humanity to start wars. I'm not proud of it, but I've never experienced anything like the Cards for bringing that out in me. They are a great, resilient team that I begrudgingly respect, but I wish nothing but pain on that mean spirited hypocritical jerk in the dugout whose personality has soaked into that franchise like some incurable disease. I'm sure we'll enjoy many a great time when this is over, but if we lose I will be physically and mentally unable to discuss the events of the series for the remainder of my inevitably shortened life. Love ya brother.
