K Rod should pitch the ninth too...we should be able to outlast their pen. How about a Braun bomb to win it. -
They have to end this division tonight. The thought of having to watch them clinch on WMLW tomorrow night is frightening...a picture I can't see and they would probably cut the game off on DirecTV before us out-of-towners can enjoy the champagne party. Big boy time.

Braun had a decent lead in OPS a week ago. As he gets passed up by Kemp in some of these stats, it's going to be tougher. He needs to finish strong these last 6 games. I think a crowd full of fans chanting "MVP" might get some play on the mothership...that might help. That and a walk-off bomb to clinch the division. -

I'm considering flying back this sounds so cool! I hope it's as noisy as the last out in Juan Nieves' no hitter was...I still remember the roar across the dorms when Yount made that catch. Have fun Madtown Brewers fans! -
At least I get the Dodgers on Memorial Day and 4 games this year, but just once a weekend series would be nice!

Yo go Briggs! I'm still pissed off that the Braves left town and I wasn't even born yet. So many people in my father's generation just gave up on baseball after they left. Another reason to hate anything to do with the Chicago sports landscape...dang Carpetbaggers...you too Atlanta!!! One main reason I'd love to see a Milwaukee team celebrating on Chicago's turf in September and Atlanta's turf in October. Do it for the old guard you Brew Crew. The 90's were a rough time...ownership, Sal, the economics of baseball...can't pin it all on one man, but it was brutal. A main reason I love Bud for not only giving us a team, but doing what he could to make it competitive (despite the 90s debacle) and also why Dean Taylor doesn't get enough credit for setting the table for Doug Melvin. Granted, firing Taylor was the right thing to do, but he left the place better off than when he started. -
My bad hawing...work has been cutting into my bf.net time!!! I'll be there again today. Look down on the field for #44. I'll also be in section 232 after that...beer or soda on me!

A few weeks ago one of the broadcasters was saying Carp will yell at players that get frustrated after making an out against him. Something to the effect of you should expect to make an out so quit whining. Plush should have kept his mouth shut, they have much bigger fish to fry. The Cards are what they are...they live in their own universe where they write their own rules. Carp, TLR, Baseball Jesus, Yadi...they've shown their stripes this year. They'll antagonize anyone they play...it's just how they conduct themselves. Whatever...they can enjoy reading their unwritten rulebook this offseason. We're going to the playoffs. I'm more worried about the DBacks.
