  1. Maybe Mark A has a deal with Google Earth or NASA. There has to be some explanation.
  2. Guys have been tinkering with their own equipment since our Lord Pujols invented baseball. Too funny...nice job logan. Almost spit my coffee out over my computer. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif
  3. I guess it's moving up Greinke to Friday and Estrada/Wholestaff on Saturday night. Estrada likely has a start coming up with the Doubleheader anyway. Would've been easier if this happened while we had the extra off days...today was first of 17 in 16 days.
  4. Those are some of the classiest taillights I've ever seen... Awesome win, effective cheating tonight...The T!!! Ahhhh, I gotta go...
  5. If Hawk can get through these guys, I think they go Ax against the meat of the order.
  6. But the Brewers told me he was a good fielder because he has no errors.
  7. Ugh...gotta get out of that with that scrub up. Now I am worried.
  8. Not the best move, but wow, what a play. Thought he was safe, but maybe not.
  9. and here we go...cue the circus music. I blame myself for thinking 20 minutes ago this was the best Marcum has looked in 2 months.
  10. Dear Ryan & Prince Where do you want me to send your Rock Bats...you guys need some more solid wood. SoCal
  11. I've been critical of RRR this year on numerous occasions. I wanted to be fair when I have a compliment to dole out. I thought the way RRR handled the TLR mindgames was solid. There has always been a great mindset with this team even when they were losing. They seem to have a great clubhouse vibe. Between RRR having established a solid rapport with the team and not being Ken Macha, he has really set the tone. The maturity of a younger team has helped as well. I think when you get TLR being TLR, not letting your team get sucked in is a positive. I thought they kept their composure, while still standing up for his players...a line between Yost who lost his head and Macha who lost his team. It won't always make up for starting Kotsay in CF or bunting in the first inning, but I think he deserves the credit where it is due. I hope that will help them in their upcoming 9 games with the Cards.
  12. One thing mentioned during the games was Sveum getting him to swing at more pitches up in the zone. Without looking at any graphs, he seems to be more selective in looking for the right pitch. With his uppercut swing, the low pitches were just inducing weak fly balls. He doesn't have enough power for that type of swing, so getting him to swing at higher pitches can flatten out his swing a little and get more line drives. As far as the longer term debate: Yes, I am a Yuni detractor. He's not a good fielder...that hasn't changed. His offense was atrocious during the first half which lowered his value even more. I'm glad this hot streak has gotten his hitting back to around were he was expected to be for the year. It couldn't have come at a better time with losing a bat like Rickie's in the lineup. I'm pulling for him to prove me wrong. Just not stinking in the field so much and hitting to his projections with a low OBP and a little higher SLG would be a big improvement from the first half. With no other realistic viable options currently out there, our bed is made.
  13. Nate...that is epic. Not sure if I like the scroll saying TLR uses 8 people to mow his lawn or the ad for the TLR vacuum that sucks all the fun out of baseball better. Just hilarious.
  14. As many have said...anything but a Cards sweep will be either fine, great or awesome. Agree with hawing too...no vulcan mind melds from TLR. This is actually the one thing I have faith in RR to be fine with. The Cards lineup is starting to get rolling, and without Rickie we'll need the bottom of the order to keep cooking. I thought he might move Carp up to Thursday with the day off. Their turn to go all in. Beating him would be extra nice...I think T Plush should volunteer to explain it to his son...in his Tony Gumble character of course, that's the classy one.
  15. That occurred to me today. I've never eaten at Webb's, and won't mind waiting until I can get the burger for free.I'm not that into Webb's either...but I'd probably fly home to get a free burger. Then again, if they won 12 straight...I might just run.
  16. The Takin' Care of Business Tour continues...11/12...an extra inning one-run loss away from a George Webb's special. Pretty awesome.
  17. I can't wait for TLR's post game tirade on Mother Nature...I bet he goes off on her
  18. C'mon...the guy has barely pitched. When he's been out there he's been reasonable for a backend bullpen guy.
  19. Florida is just a joke. Still can't believe 2 World Series were wasted on that pathetic franchise.
  20. I'd be all for Prince and Braun taking a seat if that Carpenter comes in...no reason to get anybody hurt here.
