  1. I'm glad that Soto is already out of the game, wish ARam and Edmonds were as well since they both kill us too~.
  2. You know one of my bold predictions this year was Seth McClung would be the closer by the end of the year. I might have been a year too early if we don't keep Torres~.
  3. I would assume Fukudome is coming into the game for good and the pitcher will take Soriano's spot here.
  4. Soriano playing hurt has given us 2 runs now, Cub fans have to be frustrated that he is even playing at this point.
  5. The way Soriano looked in the field makes me think he sits out at least one of the last two games. He obviously still isnt' 100%. I have to imagine Soto is out the last 2. DeRosa probably sits them as well with his injury. Couple more guys sit and suddenly they don't have a better lineup than us!
  6. Suppan made some good pitches but he still was getting smacked all over the field when they hit the ball. I'm fine with going to McClung here.
  7. That was a good at bat by Counsell, made him throw a lot of pitches and wasn't swinging at junk. I don't get why Lamb hasn't had a start at 3B but oh well. I'd be all for benching Hart except the only real alternative is Gwynn and I'd rather hope Hart turns it around than watch Gwynn start.
  8. Listening to Bill Schroeder is simply unbearable tonight.
  9. Suppan has always been a marginal starter but since his DL stint he has been just terrible. Parra hit the wall, Sheets hit the wall (thanks Yost for all those extra innings on those guys for no reason btw!).
  10. 0 ER in the first, Suppan is on his game tonight baby!
  11. He showed more patience in the minors so my guess is he ends up a .340/.350 OBP type player. Add in a .450/.500 SLG and average defense and he is an adquate player. Not a star but not a bum.
  12. On august 18th he had a line of .290/.325/.505/.830 Since that time he has a line of .195/.219/.313/.532 in 32 games. I don't know what happened, might just be a nasty slump. It wasn't a year long thing or anything though. It has lasted a bit over a month.
  13. Cameron has been the 2nd most productive Brewer positional player this year so I don't have a problem with them picking up the option.
  14. As much as official sources will downplay it the fact that we have the most african american team in baseball doesn't hurt our chances of signing him imo.
  15. I'd say Suppan is a 4.50-4.75 pitcher with an average defense. We have a terrible infield defense and he hasn't been as good since the injury so right now he is more like a 5.00 ERA guy.
  16. Put this post in a completely random place but since when did Gagne speak such good English? He has always had an obvious accent in the past but tonight he had a 100% clear English interview.
  17. I don't care how good or bad Yost and Sveum are as managers just watching the post game interviews makes me prefer Sveum. Yost always made me grit my team and Sveum is so honest about everything. Manuel is not top of my list at all but I don't want Sveum either given what I just said. We need an experienced coach who isn't growing on the job.
  18. I have always believed that Yo will be an ace. I don't fear losing Sabathia or Sheets at all because Gallardo is just as good as they are... I do fear losing them both at though since he can't replace them both~.
  19. Oh yeah, i can agree with this~ Sucks that Kapler got hurt and Gross was traded for no good reason. Sure could use Gross now.
  20. Hart was acceptable before Sept but he has had one of the worst months of any player I've seen this month. A .446 OPS in 87 AB. Fielder is too short to play 1B, 99% of 1B can make that stretch.
  21. Hart you have sucked more or less all month, make up for it here please. edit: or swing at a ball that even Jenkins would lay off of.
  22. There is no way I send my starters out in a rainy game when my team has clinched. Integrity of the game or not, it is silly to expose them to those conditions.
