alright, let's start over.
-
whoa whoa whoa ... Estrada is getting the spot?
-
that is an ouch. two walks and two hits and only one. . . but I'll take the lead I guess.
-
loaded again ... a crooked number would be real nice to start this off. Come on Yuni!
-
Well, this was the game out of the 3 that I circled as a "we really should win this one" ... hopefully a couple of our bats stay hot and we can take the series the easy way and go for a crushing blow tomorrow. BTW, did anyone else catch the two Brewer fans in the crowd yesterday with the "Just here to check on the lights" sign? I could have hugged them...

The Magical Magic Number is… (part 1)

Feels good to knock a pair off of that number rather than the single tallies the last few days http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Great finish tonight. -
Brewers announcing team showing their math skills ... sad comedy.
-
Houston is hoping for a 1-2-3 inning here because they want nothing to do with Yuni again in this series...
-
Today's game extends Betancourt's hitting streak to 10 games in which he is 17-40 (.425) with 5 runs scored and 11 RBI.
-
Brewers 4-5-6 is a combined 8-11 with 5 runs scored and 6 RBI. Sick.
-
Have a 2nd half Yuni B.
-
Does McGehee get up to that? Hard to tell...
-
DFA Greinke.
-
In retrospect ... giving Casey, Corey, and a few of the supporting fellas back to back days off for the big Cardinals series might be a genius move. Well done Ron. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

The legend of Yuni Betancourt continues to grow...
-
I'm pretty sure Carlos closed his eyes. No lie.
-
Doesn't matter who else is in the lineup apparently.. Prince will take care of it.
-
Part way into spring training... I envisioned an August lineup of Weeks, Hart, Braun, Fielder, McGehee, Lucroy, (replacement SS), Gomez. I'm trying to decide what I would have said then if you would have told me on August 7th we were going to play a lineup of Plush, Lopez, Braun, Fielder, Kotsay, Yuni, Counsell, Lucroy. Trust me, I'm not complaining about how this season has gone ... and I think it would help my pre-season self if I also added this same lineup was going to try to put us 15 games above .500 .. I'm just saying. (secretly hoping this reverse jinxes these fellas into 13 hits and 7 runs today.

.265 obtained. Next stop .270. Do your thing Betancourt.
-
Uh oh ... YB's average is approaching .265 ... on base is still a shame, but he is certainly figuring something out at the plate.
-
Two consecutive plays where Brad Mills came out to argue the ruling on the field...
-
Man, that lineup looks so much nastier when McGehee and Betancourt are seeing the baseball and can offer something offensively ...
-
Brewers end up with 23 runs and 40 hits in the series. Thanks for coming to town Cardinals. It was fun.
-
I very much would like to get Casey a 5th at bat.
-
Have a day Molina.
