  1. Not to mention the set-up of being down 7-0 in the 8th and then having, of all people, Dan Johnson to tie it with a 2-out HR in the 9th. Absolutely crazy.
  2. Hello people who know numbers. I saw the little blurb on the interview with Attanasio about $$ and playoff payouts and everything and Attanasio didn't answer any questions really. I became really curious as to accounts receivable and payable for the Crew for the 2011 season. Does anyone have any projections? Also, beyond the regular season, is there a projection to how much each post season series will bring into the team? Are there past seasons to pull that sort of info from? I'm just curious as to whether this season simply allows us to keep our payroll about where it is or if we will be able to raise it a touch.
  3. Reyes ends with a .33705773 average. Braun goes 2-2 that's just short at .3368984. 3-3 gives it to him at .33807829. 3-4 would also edge him at .3374778.
  4. Well, if Braun does catch Reyes tonight, wouldn't that make his MVP chances better? of course.
  5. ahh. Reyes just singled in his first at bat and they pulled him. He is going to end the year with a .337 average. Braun is going to need a big night to catch him.
  6. My fear with arbitration is that the closer/late inning relief market is so full this off-season that it might be financially worth it to accept arbitration if offered and test the waters next off-season when the closer market is much lighter. I would bet he doesn't accept arby either ... but it wouldn't surprise me if he did.

  8. Wow, that looked really lazy on Axford's part... pick it up and shovel it to Prince? I think CarGo was safe.
  9. Random question ... hindsight is always 20/20 but I remember a nice little battle on these boards over whether we should have traded Casey this past off-season when his value was seemingly as high as it was ever going to be. Looking back, what kind of trade market would there have been had we decided to pull that trigger? .. What would have been the return?
  10. Thanks Bucs! http://t0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcR1M-MWjzae6xE0uyVBZhvN5B5hNioyWWx0s6SmOM-iLRKX-owveu_e3qA3
  11. It feels really good to get this thread back to the top of this page... http://cache.daylife.com/imageserve/0bsL35Xf8zggo/439x.jpg ----- Continued from: viewtopic.php?p=730535#p730535 Original Lead: viewtopic.php?t=25609
  12. I think Morgan's at-bats would be extremely interesting if that happened. The entire series for that matter would be intense.
  13. Rickie I missed you. Get well soon and never leave the 5 spot.
  14. Last few weeks of September? Hmm, here I was thinking that it was Sept. 8th. Over-reacting IS calling for your team, which has the 4th best record in all of baseball, to make a historic collapse after going through their first rough patch of baseball in almost two months.
  15. No offence, but I really hope I'm not sitting by you during the playoffs at Miller Park ... because this makes me think you are one of those who will call for Greinke to get pulled if he issues a one out walk in the 4th. If there is one thing that makes my skin crawl it is over-reaction. Heaven forbid we have a bad stretch a baseball...
  16. Unfortunately (fortunately?) I'm watching the Packers game ... what happened?
  17. Braun's 2-2 puts him up to .333 and in a tie with Reyes.
  18. Nice. Atta boy Braun. Run down that batting title...
  19. 283 No-No's in MLB history. Looks like George was the 293rd Cycle. So, it's pretty darn close to 1:1. Looking over that list ... a little funny to see that Carlos Gomez and Mark Kotsay both hit for the cycle a little more than 3 months apart during the '08 season. Crazy.
  20. Congrats George! Although if we were at Miller Park I think he would have had 3 home runs... Was awesome to watch though... good game!
  21. Ahhh!!!!!! I can't believe he did it.... Does Kottaras keep running if that stays in the park or does he coast into 2nd?
  22. You mean K-Rod after he got injured? If you're referring to someone else I'd imagine he was a much better hitter than Kameron Loe (Gallardo?). I'd usually let Gallardo hit for himself rather than waste a possibly weaker pinch hitter. He did it with Estrada I believe.
