    Had you told me during spring training that in October we were going to have a game against Jameson Taillon to advance to the NLCS (not even mentioning being up 2-0) ... I would have probably gotten super nostalgic and sentimental thinking about Uecker. Yes, I am aura farming for the club right now. I don't care. We are celebrating on their field tomorrow and I'm going to post every Uecker quote I know when it happens.

    Ok, I just needed a little clarification ha. I also didn't love the opener and would have thrown Priester at home... but I yelled pretty loud when Vaughn hit his out and I was confused by what you meant.

    this seems like a good baseball decision and so far this game i feel like we have made 14 bad baseball decisions and that has us up 4 runs. so i think that means Bauers pitches the 8th.

    I have no idea what to feel right now. We won 19 out of the last 20 starts Priester made and we have a home crowd and we are throwing a bullpen game. I guess we don't have full trust in Quintana so we are trying to steal one now? I'm spinning a bit..

    $10mil total for the numbers that Vaughn and Bauers gave us combined in the 2nd half is well worth it IMO if that is what it comes out to. The $2mil number on Bauers is very tradeable too if other options present themselves before/during ST.

    Can't really process this ... I was convinced after watching it live that he was out until the WS minimum. He is leading off in Gm2. Incredibly happy... but no longer trust my eyes.

    I'm not disagreeing with anyone's opinion here ... they are all valid. I would be ecstatic if he pitched 3 clean. I'm just cautioning to separate what some people want to happen vs what will happen so when Ashby gets pulled after 1 inning and 19 pitches or 2 innings and 26 pitches people don't get over emotional about it for their own sake. I've been on the record multiple times this year saying I don't love the opener concept because I'd rather the starter just be in his routine ... but that's not how the Brewers have operated with Priester and lineups that have gashing top of the order splits. So I no longer get upset because I know how they are going to pitch their guys, because they have been consistent about it. The Brewers have viewed Priester as a "twice through the order" guy almost exclusively this entire season. So if they are going to give him 20-22 hitters tonight ... they want Busch and Tucker to each only be 2 of those guys. They want Priester to get through the 6th so we can go Koenig/Mears, Uribe, Megill to finish it. The best way to get him through the 6th is to skip the first run of lefties for him.
