  1. Ok thanks, I will check that.
  2. As long as he stays healthy, I think this has a chance to be a very good deal on the Brewers end. He seems like a very hard worker, and a great team player, I'm happy to have him as a Brewer for the next 4 seasons!
  3. I'm trying to copy a bunch of dvd's w/ about 4 gb of information to a folder on my desktop. However, I keep getting an error on some of them when about half way through copying that says, "data error (cyclic redundancy check)", any ideas to work around this problem? Thanks.
  4. I thought it was odd to see Ayon get benched in the second half in favor of Gooden. He really played well in the first half.
  5. I don't think Axford is going anywhere. I'd love for the Brewers to try to get Porcello though, would make me much happier than getting someone like Harang.
  6. I'm happy the Bucks are winning, but still mad about the trade. I'd be much happier if Jennings, Ellis, Redick, Dunleavy, Dalembert weren't all in the last year of their contract. And our GM didn't have a history of making some terrible off-season decisions (Gooden, Maggette, SJackson, Jefferson etc).
  7. Between the reports on Hellweg and Segura, I'm thrilled w/ the Greinke trade. I loved watching Segura play last year, and agree with the scout that he looks like he is going to be really good when he fully realizes his potential.
  8. I'm intrigued by Jesus Sanchez, I think he could play a role this season. Hes a converted catcher that's only been pitching a few seasons and he was really good last season. I also like what I'm hearing about both Hellweg and Olmstead. Although, I really hope they keep Hellweg as a starter and let him pitch in AAA this season.
  9. Wow, he looks really good, just like in summer league. The Bucks deserve every bit of this for playing Marquis Daniels over him this season, and not giving him a chance after the first few weeks. I'm a huge Bucks fan, but I keep finding myself losing more faith in that organization each year. What a shame this trade is going to turn out to be.
  10. I'm cheering for Caleb Gindl or Khris Davis to win a bench spot out of spring. I think both have potential to be solid major league players.
  11. So the Bucks will probably get the 8th seed, and the chance to get worked by the Heat in the first round. Then Jennings, Ellis, Dalembert, Redick, Dunleavy become FA's. We have only 4 guys from our rotation under contract in Sanders, Henson, LRMAM and Ersan. So glad we traded Tobias Harris and Doron Lamb to get in this position. What a joke this franchise is. In my opinion, not using the expiring contracts, which I'm sure held some decent value, to get young talent back, was a huge mistake. The city of Milwaukee will not get behind an 8th seed team, especially when the majority of the significant players are not under contract for next season.
  12. I don't care if they wear clown wigs, as long as they win. Not sure why people care about their haircuts. That's nice to read about Peralta, I hope he continues pitching the way he did at the end of last season. Could be a huge factor on if we contend or not.
  13. The trade the Bucks made was one that a contender makes, not a team 1 game under .500, that has no chance at winning a championship. Why give up two cheap young potentially good players for 30 games of a guy that will probably leave at the end of the season? It's such a short sighted move, and reminds me of how the Brewers used to be run. There doesn't seem to be much thought behind it, and conveys a lack of a plan. I'm a huge Bucks fan, and will always be one, but I'm losing my patience. It's hard to see more and more people fall off the bandwagon, and become a franchise that is just laughed at by 90% of the people I talk to. If things don't change soon, I believe the Bucks will be forced to move to another city, and that will be a very sad day for me.
  14. There's already a thread w/ the plan for bag night II.
  15. Can't see any positives to this trade. I like Redick, but not giving up Harris and Lamb for 30 games w/ him.
  16. Realgm forum down, I bet a lot of people are freaking out (myself included).
  17. Man, I'm having a hard time being optimistic about this trade deadline. I really don't want us to trade for vets that are set to become UFA's. I hope they surprise us all and go after a long term SG like Jeremy Lamb, and trade all of our vets on the last year of there deals, especially Monta.
  18. Should be a very interesting trade deadline. I'd be thrilled to see them acquire some young guys and draft picks for anybody besides Henson, Sanders and Tobias Harris. However, if they don't do any deals, or trade youth for veteran's I'll be very dissapointed.
  19. I absolutely love the signing. Our bench w/ Schaefer, Gonzalez, Maldanado, Gamel (when Hart returns), should be a real strength.
  20. It sounds like the Brewers are very much in the mix for Lohse. For the right price, I think it could be a decent signing. Somewhere like 2 years 16 million would be ok with me. I've heard a lot of people say he's terrible, but he's had two pretty good seasons the last 2 years. Also, Melvin mentioned that they are in talks w/ a specific first baseman to backup Gamel while Hart's out. Who are your guesses? El Caballo, Thome, Abreu, Giambi, Juan Rivera, Kotchmann, Huff, Nick Johnson, Hafner and Overbay are all still available. I wouldn't mind any of these guys on a minor league deal w/ an invite to ST, but Thome or Giambi wouldn't be a bad signing on a major league deal. And finally, it was also mentioned that they are still eyeing some backup middle infielders and that Alex Gonzalez is still in play. It would be nice to have a guy of Alex Gonzalez's caliber to backup SS, 3B and maybe even 2b. Who are some other options? I'd like to hear others opinions on what you think the Brewers will do, and what you hope they do in regards to these three categories.
  21. I'd like to see another RH reliever brought in, there seems to still be some good ones out there. I would feel much better if we added one of Capps, Valverde, Farnsworth, Lyon, or Rauch. Other things I'd like the Brewers to consider are adding a RH first baseman/OF like Carlos Lee or Luke Scott. I'd also be pretty happy to see Alex Gonzalez back as the backup IF.
  22. I don't think they will either, which is very frustrating. The only trades I see happening are just small ones involving little used guys like Gooden, Dalembert or Pryzbilla. The organization is too focused on the small picture, and badly want the 7th/8th seed.
  23. I don't think it makes sense to trade Jennings. He's RFA after this year, so we control his rights, and has gotten at least a little better each year he has been in the league. I'm ok w/ him being a piece of the Bucks future. I'd much rather trade Monta Ellis. He'll probably out of his contract after this season and I think they'd be much improved with a bigger 2 guard, who can actually shoot from the outside. They sorely need effincient scoring. I really think having a guy like Aaron Afflalo or J.J. Reddick, who are both said to be available, getting Monta's minutes would make the Bucks a very good team.
  24. My advice is to give your wife as much rest as possible for at least the first week after the birth, she will need it. Try to enjoy it as much as possible, IMO it's the most wonderful thing in the world. For me it seemed very hard at first, but it keeps getting better and better the older they get. My daughters are now almost 2 and 4, and it really has gone by fast. If your child will be going to daycare, figure it out now. Make sure you find a person or place that you really love, and that they plan on doing it for a long time. Also, check the references on anyone that you pick. We've had a lot of issues w/ daycare. If you're in the Madison area, I have a few recommendations. My daughters loved the video Baby Mozart by Baby Einstein as infants, we didn't put it on a lot, but it helped when we were trying to get ready, or get a little break. Congrats, and best of luck to you and your wife. Feel free to also PM me about any question.
  25. I'd go with Bianchi (ss/2b), Gamel (1b/3b/OF), Maldanado ©, Schaefer (OF), and let Green, Gindl and Khris Davis battle it out for the last spot in spring training.
