  1. If Prince was traded this off-season, I would love to see the Brewers sign Pena. He had a down season last year, but the last 3 seasons before that he was very good.
  2. My work won't allow me to access Rotoworld, who is this mystery guy?
  3. Finding a new day care for our daughter is a lot harder than we thought it was going to be. Every daycare we like is way more than we can afford. It seems like it's almost impossible to find a quality place that has openings that is somewhat affordable. It shouldn't be too hard to find. BTW, if anybody has any recommendations on a East, north or downtown Madison daycare. I'd love to hear it, please send me a message.
  4. The Bucks have played great the last 2 games, good to see them turn it around. I really like what I've seen from the 2nd unit of Boykins, Dooling, Maggette, Ersan and Brockman. They play really well together. It also looks like Gooden is starting to play better recently.
  5. I don't Gooden played bad at all, it was definitely not his fault we lost. He had some really nice post moves, but he needs to get tougher on defense. I thought we really missed LRMAM, and could have used Brockman instead of Sanders. I thought Salmons looked terrible and should not have been playing yet. I expect things to improve, and still think this team will be a great team.
  6. Opening night vs. the New Orleans Hornets tonight at 7. Should be an exciting season w/ all the new additions.
  7. My soccer team won the Madison city league final last night, and my wife and I found out we're having another girl. I'm a happy man.
  8. I'd play for anyone that would want me. However, if I had to pick it would probably be: Nationals, Royals, Pirates, Cardinals and Reds
  9. I was late.
  10. Speeding tickets on the way to work.
  11. Clark was also terrible against England also, there is no way that he should have been starting after that game period. It was so obvious that they played much better w/ Feilhaber and Edu versus, Findley and Clark. Clark also looked terrible in the games leading up to the World Cup, I disagree that he isn't a terrible international player. He has no vision, creativity and looked completely lost on the field. W/ the unbelievable momentum the US had going into the Ghana game, I think starting those mistakes two took away a lot of it. Although I do like some things about Bob Bradley, I certainly think those obvious mistakes could of lead to his firing.
  12. You're the only person I've seen question starting Michael Bradley, I thought he was tremendous, and I'm not sure who you would have started over him. Diskono, I strongly disagree that Maurice Edu didn't make that big of a difference over Ricardo Clark. He looked very match fit to me, and made the U.S look like an entirely different team.
  13. I agree, I was also hoping for a change in coaches. I was very dissapointed when I saw that Ricardo Clark was starting against Ghana over Maurice Edu. It was so unbelievably obvious how much better the US played w/ Maurice Edu in the middle. That made me think that he has a little bias toward certain players, that a good coach can't have. Other than that and a few other minor things, I guess the U.S. played a lot nice soccer than in previous years.
  14. I've heard that Bogut might not be ready to start the season, and in that case Gallon would be more valuable than Hobson this season. Either way, I hope we keep the rights to both of them. I also hope we don't have to rely on Gallon for minutes at the 5.
  15. According to jsonline.com, the Bucks are close to signing Earl Boykins as their 3rd pg. I'm not the biggest fan of his, but I'm ok w/ him as our 3rd pg. He's really a 5'6" shooting guard that can't defend, but is a guy that can get hot and put up points in a hurry. I think this means that either Tiny Gallon or Darrington Hobson will not be on our 15 man roster.
  16. I'd like to see him added to the 40 man roster and given a September callup. I've heard he has a cannon for an arm, and is a good RF. It would give the Brewers a nice power bat off the bench next season as a 5th OF, assuming Gomez is traded this off-season. I guess that, or an injury is the only way I could see him making the big league roster next season.
  17. Maybe I was being a bit nitpicky, but I thought it was kind of funny that a sports writer from a major newspaper would make that mistake.
  18. From today's jsonline chat: Q: scott , withee - Anthony, You're thoughts, regarding the off seasons moves with coaching staff to players etc. I myself don't think they change, hope I am wrong. Can shed some light? A: Anthony Witrado - I think you'll see a different manager. If the Brewers higher in house, than you could see some of the same faces in the dugout now. If they hire outside of the club, I think the team has to let that guy pick his own staff, which could mean losing Dale Sveum and Ed Sedar, guys that have been around for a long time.
  19. Scherzer and Porcello, for Prince, Parra and Bush. Ok thats not going to happen, but I really like both of those guys.
  20. Brockman's actually 6'7" w/out shoes, so he should be listed at 6'8". He will be just fine playing w/ Gooden, Sanders or Ilyasova when giving Bogut a rest. I love the big man depth on this team w/ Bogut, Gooden, Sanders, Ilyasova and Brockman, I think we will be one of the best rebounding teams in the league.
  21. My soccer team is going to Howard, WI which is near Green Bay for a tournament on July 31st, and I'm in the process of booking a hotel. I'm not at all familiar w/ the area, but is there an area in Green Bay that has fun bars for 22-30 year olds w/ in walking distance from a few hotels? Any information would be helpful.
  22. Michael Redd is out until at least February, according to the Journal-Sentinel. 80% of his contract is insured as long as he misses at least 41(I think) games, so his expiring, insured contract is very tradeable.
  23. I'm getting worried about who our backup PG is going to be. I think that is a very important role in the NBA, and right now we have nobody. I also hope that losing K. Thomas, Ridnour and Stackhouse won't come back to bite us, I think their veteran leadership was very important last season.
  24. I thought the game was very entertaining, Holland and Spain are both great teams. I also enjoyed the Germany vs. Uruguay game, although I was dissapointed Germany sat Lahm, Klose and Podolski. I don't understand why so many non soccer fan Americans go out of their way to complain about soccer. Please, just turn the channel, there are plenty of other things on. However, I did find that it's becoming a little less cool to make fun of soccer, which is a good thing. Overall, I think it was a wonderful World Cup, and I'm sad its over. I can't wait until 2014 in Brazil.
  25. Well, Lebron picked Miami and they are now my least favorite team. I really hope they don't win a championship w/ those three, that would be hilarious.
