I wouldn't mind them getting Grudzielanek and maybe sharing ABs between the two. I liked watching him when he was with the Cards, he'll put up solid numbers, cheap and I think the fans would love him(not that that should be important)

Have you checked ebay to see if there are any up there, that should give you the market price.

Seeing how mlb sells every color and design of hats imaginable I'd be really surprised if they didn't sell these.

I like a Maddux trade a lot more then the Sabathia trade rumors. I think if they are serious about getting an arm I think if they could get a leader with it is extremely valuable. Plus he will cost us a hell of a lot less then Sabathia. OR maybe I just hate the thought of trading La Porta away for a SP we'd have for 3 months.

I have an extra Fielder but I live in St. Louis. If you wouldn't mind doing a trade through mail I'd love to get a Braun bobble.
  8. apirk
I'll trade a Fielder from this year for a Braun if anyone is interested

I noticed the coloring on my pinstriped Fielder box was different then my 2 regular ones. The background of Miller park behind the picture of Fielder is a darker brown color then the others. Just wondering if any others or like this or it was just random. If others are like it it might be something to look for.

Yeah I guess I should have clarified this.

I was wondering who people feel is th emost loved and hated ex brewer. I was thinking of this last weekend when I saw a retro Sheffield jersey at the game and couldn't believe a Brewer fan could wear it. I am just going to go from 80-current since that is the time frame I know, I would love to hear about some of th eolder players though. Most loved I think is pretty easy with Paul Molitor. I'll give Honorable mention to BJ Surhoff though he was always a huge fan favorite. Most hated I would say would have to be Sheffield. I'll give honorable mention to Jeffrey Hammonds though and his huge contract.

And he can't even make his team at three different positions.

And it is two weeks into the season who is to say he won't. Also, he played 7 games in 03 and basically spent a year in the minors. Instead of blaming him for not meeting your expectations why not blame the Brewers for not giving him any time to develop in the minors. Maybe Weeks is a .260 hitter with an above avg OBP, speed, mediocre glove with a little pop. He is what he is and just because some magazine or fan think he should be better doesn't mean he is. Calling someone a bust to me is just stupid. It is just a nicer way to say that the organization and yourself were wrong about that player.

Weeks is still young give him time. It really sucks when people place such high expectations on young players that are almost impossible to reach right away. Just because you feel he should be better doesn't make him a bust. he is one of three first round picks by the Brewers in the 00s to be on the team. Also, for all thos who complain about how he should be better since he was drafted #2, besides Markakis who would yo have liked them to draft? 1. Devil Rays Delmon Young RF Adolfo Camarillo HS 2. Brewers Rickie Weeks 2B Southern U A&M 3. Tigers Kyle Sleeth RHP Wake Forest U 4. Padres Timothy Stauffer RHP U Richmond 5. Royals Christopher Lubanski CF Kennedy-Kenrick Catholic 6. Cubs Ryan Harvey CF Dunedin HS 7. Orioles Nicholas Markakis OF Young-Harris College 8. Pirates Paul Maholm LHP Mississippi State U 9. Rangers John Danks LHP Round Rock HS 10. Rockies Ian Stewart 3B La Quinta HS

looks like some one beat me to the offer in my thread so the offer still stands if anyone is interested.

It was this years bighead. Not the ROY one they sell at the stadium.
  18. apirk
They had Braun bigheads on there last week. Glad I ordered one while they were still o there.
  19. apirk
No one wanted him, it was all rumors with little or no substance.

I have an extra one from the game on Sunday and would like to set something up to trade for a future day since I probably won't be able to make any of the other dates. It is a regular edition, although I was lucky to get a pinstriped one too.
  21. apirk
A little early for that http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif I don't think I've ever booed at a game, but at home is a whole other story
  22. apirk
Going to Tuesday for sure and probably Wed, so that would be nice

I wish I could make it to any of the minor league bobblehead games, but I don't live anywhere near any of them

Wow how many negative Suppan post have their been in this thread with absolutely no facts backing them at all. Personally I hope we don't trade Suppan because that means we are in a playoff race and I would want him pitching for the Brewers in the playoffs over pretty much all of the Brewers SP except a healthy Sheets. If the Brewers want to trade him there will be a market for him. A proven veteran SP who was successful in the playoffs, I am pretty sure there will always be a market for a player like that despite his contract.

ESPN Blows Nothing but a bunch of horrible catch phrases and people yelling at you. If you take it as purely entertainment and realize that a lot of people are just saying what they say for ratings, well then I can see why someone might like it. If you dislike ESPN or want to know why a lot of people dislike ESPN read God Save the Fan, or just read it if you are a sports fan it is a great entertaining book.
