The Cardinals are currently sitting at 9-16 and could have an even worse record as they finish out against the Dodgers this weekend. In April the Cardinals have gone 9-15 so far. No matter how you cut this this doesn’t look good for the Cardinals.

I see a few rentals for under $900 in that area and if his car insurance jumped that much were they under you previously? They were probably receiving your discounts you had. I would switch insurance companies if the price increased that much. Also check different insurance companies and try and find extra discounts like the college they graduated from there are also some professions or professional groups that can get discounts. The $200 jump sounds like it is a horrible insurance company or it is time to shop for a new one.

Strzelecki may only throw 91/92 but the way he hides the ball it makes it look like 95/96. There is actual velocity and perceived velocity. Perceived velocity can also come from a good change up which is why Devin's straight as an arrow fastball doesn't always get hammered like it should. His change up makes his fastball a little less hittable and that fastball is not all that great. Without the changeup Devin is not a MLB reliever. -

If on the day Contreras is not catching and is playing DH and Caratini suffers an injury that means the Brewers lose the DH for that game and the pitcher will now be batting. Better to just let Contreras sit for a day. I don't see it hurting him or the team at all. -
When has a thumb injury not bothered someone? Trout had the same injury and surgery. It took him some time to return to form after the injury. I fully expect it to take the rest of the year for Frelick to be back where he was last year. So I don’t see a call up likely for this year.

Wiemer is worth more value wise to the Brewers long term. Perkins is just a guy who will be the 4th or 5th OF. Better to send Wiemer down and have him play in AAA than sitting on the bench when Taylor comes back.

Wiemer doesn’t look like he belongs on a MLB team offensively right now. I think he gets sent down once Taylor is ready.

I am more worried about Frelick than I am of Mitchell as thumb injuries can be something that lingers for a long time. This thumb injury for Frelick is going to impact him more than Mitchell’s shoulder injury.

Flight time from NYC to Mexico City is 5 hours and 30 minutes while a direct flight from NYC to Seattle is 6 hours and 15 minutes. Flight times are not the problem. Flight times from LA to Mexico City is just under an hour difference between LA and Seattle. There really isn't an issue with travel to Mexico City.

Bud is basically done if he loses this series. The off season would be really interesting if Middleton opts out and the Bucks are not able to come to terms with him. If Middleton leaves the Bucks won't be able to replace him with anyone other than a league minimum player. It is basically Middleton or no one for the Bucks. The Bucks could try and do a sign and trade where Middleton gets max money going to whatever team wants him. Maybe the Bucks could con the Knicks into giving up one of their 2024 1st round picks along with Randle and Fournier to balance out the salaries for Middleton.

Majority of the people living in Miami are Cuban or Venezuelan. The Venezuelan population has increased a lot in Florida while the Cuban population hasn't really seen much growth in a long time now (immigrants). The Marlins nearly go after Cuban players specifically because of this. Unfortunately the Marlins have been ran so poorly even with their WS wins it hasn't helped their attendance. I always thought the Rays moving from Tampa to Miami would have been a better option and then moving the Marlins to Nashville, Charlotte, Raleigh or Portland made more sense than keeping the Marlins in Miami. The Marlins are basically a toxic franchise at this point.

You forgot Chiraq errrr Chicago. As much as I love Chicago it can be an absolute third world country at night in some spots of the city. The same with Phoenix or any major city in the US. There are some cities in Mexico where it is far safer than in the US.
