  1. Braves signed three draft picks for $500 each. https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/7511763/2026/08/14/braves-mlb-draft-picks-signing-bonus/?unlocked_article_code=1.5VA.nOny.8KA2ZsdwVbTE&source=user_shared_article&smid=ta-ios-share
  2. I remember when the Brewers lost Maddux and it was supposed to be the downfall of the Brewers.
  3. Diaz looked defeated last night. Like the Brewers broke his favorite toy defeated.
  4. Dodgers snatching a loss from the jaws of victory.
  5. At least Contreras is hitting the ball in the air just hitting them in the wrong spots and with too much launch angle.
  6. Just me or does Yelich run like he is 60 years old?
  7. What’s worse walking Ortiz and Hamilton or Miguel Rojas?
  8. Gary after that last out was like guys stop trying to kill me.
  9. As of right now I don’t think the Brewers or any team will have to protect anyone. Unless there is a CBA agreement that gets signed or agreed to early. I think the rule 5 draft will be canceled.
  10. All players on the 40 man fall under the MLB CBA which ends on December 1st 2026. The MiLB CBA ends on December 1st 2027 so minor league players not on the 40-man fall under this CBA. Not sure kill is the right word here. They still want a minor league system just far smaller.
  11. You have bunty up and have him swing? Why?
  12. Quero is on the 40-man.
  13. Corey Taylor is an underrated singer for most of the mainstream music listeners who probably don't even know who he is. This is probably one of his best songs.
  14. Are you willing to chance a clubhouse revolt if Yelich is DFA'd or benched? Because that is literally the only option to improve the team. Yelich has to go and if you get rid of him you will have a revolt in the clubhouse. This would be worse than the Hader trade.
  15. I would call that a bad outing as he only went 2.2 IP but I think that was more because of his pitch count being 71 after 2.2 IP. There was an error that extended the inning in the second in that game which contributed to the high pitch count. He did have a bad third inning after getting two outs. So counts as a bad start sure so one out of the previous 6 starts and if you want to count the one against the Cardinals that is 2 out of 6 starts after the Vegas game. Still not falling off the face of the earth bad.
  16. This is false as he hasn't given up more than 3 runs before this start. The game after the Vegas start he had 6 IP and only 3 hits and 0 runs scored against. Then came the injury against the Cardinals. So he hasn't fallen off the face of the planet since the trip to Vegas.
  17. Pitchers do have bad games from time to time. Is this your first time watching baseball?
  18. I will still take victory laps for this trade. Durbin, Monasterio and Seigler for a #1/2 type pitcher and a #4/5 type pitcher is a win every time even with adding in the pick. People were calling for Monasterio and Seigler to be DFA'd at points in time in the season last year. Hamilton and Seigler have been about equal in terms of value so far this year. Durbin has been a little bit more valuable than Ortiz so far this year. That means Harrison and Drohan have gotten the most value in that trade. If you give up 3 players and one pick and two out of the three players who are starting pitchers are equaling the positional players you gave up that is an absolute win. The Brewers gave up one above average infielder, an average utility player, a wet sock and a draft pick for two rotational pieces and a wet sock. That is always going to be a win you take a victory lap on. The positional players should have a higher WAR as they have more opportunities to improve that number. With them not having a higher WAR it is an absolute loss for the Red Sox. The WAR says its about even but when you look at the players given up and where the positions they are playing it is an absolute win for the team that is getting this much WAR from starting pitchers.
  19. Last I saw the floor would be something around $170mm which only about 10 teams in MLB are at or above. The cap would be at $245mm. But the caps also includes player benefits which MLB put at about $20-25mm. I saw $23mm reported somewhere but I can’t find where I saw that. So the floor is really around $150mm and the ceiling at about $220mm. I really like the MLB proposal but I don’t see the players agreeing to an international draft or including the players benefits into the salary cap and floor.
  20. Reduced team control I agree is bad for the Brewers. Salary floor wouldn’t be bad for the Brewers. I agree on the international draft but I don’t see the MLBPA approving this. The cap obviously would help some. There is still the issue Milwaukee is not a desirable destination. More revenue sharing is coming at least with MLB’s last proposal. All media local and national would be split evenly between all the teams and split with the players 50/50.
  21. The AI slop lawyer commercials please make it stop. I’ll take a one call that’s all commercial over this AI slop.
  22. I'm tired of the Vaughn should get more playing time non sense. He sucks he is a platoon bat and should only face LHP. It is pure luck he even hits the ball against a RHP.
  23. Vaughn just sucks. Watches the same pitch as before called a ball and the ump calls it a strike does he challenge it nope. Could have been 3-1 instead of 2-2.
  24. The this year we're much closer to worst is false. Top 10 in both BA, OBP and SLG with RISP. https://www.baseball-reference.com/tools/split_stats_lg.cgi?full=1&params=bases|RISP|ML|2026|bat|AB| The Brewers are also #1 with PA's with RISP the Cubs are 2 and the Pirates 3. The Cubs are only in the top 10 in OBP everything else there are middle of the pack.
