  1. Maybe not benched but he should only see RHP and sit against LHP. He is a negative to the team against LHP. Now just need to find a right handed bat to platoon with him.
  2. While everyone is worrying about Regnifo, Perkins, and Ortiz and rightfully so it feels like Frelick is being overlooked. If you take Regnifo and Ortiz out of the equation, Frelick has arguably been the Brewers worst regular this season. Put it this way Frelick is worse than Hamilton so far this season. Right now, he owns a slash line of .222/.292/.304 with a 70 wRC+ and -0.2 WAR. Over at FanGraphs, he has been a negative contributor both offensively and defensively, so he is not really providing much value on either side of the ball. That said, his splits against right-handed pitching are actually respectable, so maybe the answer is giving him a platoon partner against lefties. Frelick's splits: VS LHP: .120/.182/.200 for a wRC+ of 8. That is not a mistake that is his wRC+ against LHP. VS RHP: .269/.341/.352 for a wRC+ of 99. Mitchell is currently being sat against LHP but I believe the Brewers also need to sit Frelick against LHP. The Brewers definitely need another RH batter in the OF as neither Mitchell or Frelick should be seeing LHP going forward and no Frelick seeing a lot of pitches is not a positive when he does absolutely nothing after seeing all those pitches. Frelick's statcast info:
  3. This is the Bucks we are talking about here. BTW I don’t mind Ham coming back I think he got a bit snake bit by Lebron. Defensively he is a good coach and for player development he is rather good there also. Offensively and drawing up plays he is not all that good at that. He is fine as a support staff coach.
  4. Bobby Witt would probably be the only player I would consider going all in for. Everyone else no thanks.
  5. That was a bad sequence by Sanchez. Needed to throw something other than the sweeper or cutter against Hernandez.
  6. Ball kind of died and Frelick got too much air under his throw and the same with Turang. I know the stats say otherwise but Frelick’s arm looks well below average for a RF.
  7. Ham will be back with the Bucks. https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/7289959/2026/05/23/bucks-darvin-ham-taylor-jenkins-nba-coaching/?source=user_shared_article&unlocked_article_code=1.klA.ueEZ.W44THLKPFhta
  8. In this scenario the Bucks would keep Brown. They wouldn't even entertain the idea of flipping Brown. The rumor is that the Bucks want to be competitive for next season if that means Giannis resigns then that means Giannis resigns. If they need to trade him it will be for another superstar player to make them competitive for next season. From what I have seen there are no plans from the Bucks to tank or to do a full rebuild. It is either Giannis returns or Giannis is traded for another top tier superstar. There is no in between for the Bucks.
  9. Doubtful he lasts beyond this season and I am not sure he lasts beyond the trade deadline. Unlike Ortiz the Brewers probably don't see a long term future with Regnifo. With Ortiz the Brewers probably see a serviceable utility player though it looks like Hamilton has surpassed Ortiz in that thinking at least for this season. At some point in the season we will be seeing Pratt and Williams up. The Brewers will drop Regnifo before they drop Ortiz.
  10. Ke'Bryan Hayes is having a historically bad season so far though it looks to be a back issue related but a 12 wRC+ is extremely bad. His slash line is absolutely brutal .142/.195/.225. Not sure what the Reds were thinking when they traded for him as they are still on the hook for $29mm after this season, this includes a $6mm buyout for the 2030 season. While not the worst contract but still for the production they are receiving at 3B this is horrible even for about $8mm a season. The best case scenario for Hayes into his age 30+ seasons would be basically what the Brewers are getting out of Ortiz right now. Still not exactly sure what the Reds saw in Hayes to make this trade last year. Yes they needed better defense at 3B but the offensive negative of Hayes is just not worth his defense. The Reds really bailed out the Pirates on this one.
  11. The current rumors are that the Bucks want a superstar back for Giannis in a trade and are not specifically looking for young players and picks back in a trade. They will take the young players and picks but what they really want is a replacement for Giannis. I don't see them trading with Orlando because of this and Banchero I don't think fits that definition of what the Bucks want in return. I think it is closer to the Boston proposed trades of Giannis for Brown plus some picks.
  12. If you believe the Bucks want a superstar back in return for Giannis then it doesn’t work at all. There is basically no starting point for this trade.
  13. Finally watched The Boys finale what a load of horse poo wait no that is insulting to horse poo. Just absolutely lazy and pointless writing.
  14. The Boys apparently had a bad season finale. I haven’t watched yet but this season has been a slug to get through. Pacing is off and the characters are just meh right now. Even the action scenes are just bleh.
  15. I think you let hitters go to FA and take the draft compensation. With pitchers you trade them before they hit FA. The risk of injury for pitchers is far harsher than with a positional player. Meaning if a pitcher gets injured it will hurt their value far more than it will hurt a positional player. A shoulder injury to a pitcher is far more concerning than the same injury to a positional player.
  16. I don’t believe the 2018 Orioles would have had much interest in Burnes. He was too close to MLB ready at the time. The Orioles were going for a full on rebuild at the time and preferred lower level prospects. The Brewers went hard after Machado in 2018 but the Orioles just didn’t like what the Brewers had to offer in 2018 vs what the Dodgers had. In hindsight it would have been better for them to take Burnes over what they received for both Schoop and Machado.
  17. The AL West record wise is worse actually the whole of the AL is horrible. There are only 5 teams at or above .500 in the AL. The NL Central has 5 teams at or above .500. The AL West only the A’s have a .500 record. This probably won’t last all season but the AL is looking really bad right now record wise.
  18. Imanaga vs the Brewers before today's game as Fangraphs hasn't updated their splits yet. 5.73 ERA | 5.00 FIP | 4.77 xFIP. I could only find his ERA against the Brewers with today's start included and it is at 7.52. This is not including his playoff start against the Brewers. He has only two good starts against the Brewers so far in his short career all coming last year. His first year and his only start against the Brewers he gave up 7 earned runs. Everyone but the Brewers he has a 2.97 ERA | 4.03 FIP | 3.92 xFIP. The Brewers definitely see something at the plate vs Imanaga that other teams or players just don't. In his career Imanaga has given up a total of 108 ER against the other teams while he has given up a total of 22ER vs the Brewers. The Brewers have also hit 7 home runs against him.
  19. OMG that Buffalo and Montreal series was crazy! This has to be one of the best NHL playoffs in awhile. WOW! just wow! Back to back great series. Probably going to be a let down after this.
  20. On the radio they said it hit the score board and bounced out of the park but hard to tell on the replay as the quality isn't the greatest due to the compression of the video on the usual social media sites. The radio call: Instagram WWW.INSTAGRAM.COM 22 likes, 0 comments - 620wtmj on May 18, 2026: "Brewers take the first game of this three-game set vs. the Cubs! Jake Bauers put the game out of reach with THIS swing of the bat heard on...
  21. Not really. There is not much out there to be honest. Rutschman would be one but the Brewers already have Contreras there. In the OF there is not much there. Maybe a deal with the Yankees for Jasson Dominguez but that would require the Brewers to trade from their MLB roster to do that and I am not sure what the Yankees would want in return. A Volpe for Ortiz trade makes a little sense for both teams, though not sure either team would be interested in doing that swap.
  22. The Jazz own none of those picks as they went to Memphis in the Jackson trade. https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/47818224/sources-grizzlies-trade-jaren-jackson-jr-jazz-8-player-deal
