  1. The Padres also want a lot of prospects in return for Kim. They are also looking at having Merrill playing at SS to start the season if they move Kim. So Adames doesn’t fit with the Padres at all.
  2. It is basically what Giannis said after the game. https://theathletic.com/5280208/2024/02/16/giannis-bucks-loss-grizzlies/ From the article:
  3. Padres reject that trade as they don’t need Adames.
  4. Yeah MLB umpires are like instructions not clear call everyone safe for obstruction on non obvious calls and everyone out on obvious obstruction calls.
  5. Gallinari signs with the Bucks https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/39534003/danilo-gallinari-agrees-sign-bucks-rest-season-agent-says
  6. It is EA so this will just be Madden reskinned with College teams.
  7. I believe it is the blocking of the base. So dropping to a knee and placing your leg in front of the base. If a fielder does this then it will be considered obstruction. If the ball is going towards the runner side of the base that wouldn't be obstruction. This is what MLB wants to stop. If the infielders leg is blocking the base then that is obstruction. From the article: So if the ball is going towards the runners path that would be in the act of fielding the ball so it wouldn't be obstruction. MLB has specifically called out the knee drop and the infielders leg blocking the base. This is what umpires have been instructed to watch for and to call as obstruction.
  8. Manfred will retire in January 2029. https://www.cbssports.com/mlb/news/rob-manfred-says-he-will-step-down-as-mlb-commissioner-in-2029-will-not-seek-another-term/
  9. Rule change but not a rule change on obstruction. https://theathletic.com/5279087/2024/02/15/mlb-obstruction-rule-enforcement-explainer/?source=user_shared_article A quick overview of this. If a player blocks a base then the player is awarded the base and if they are advancing they are rewarded the base they are advancing to. So no more leg blocking a base as that is now ruled or was already as obstruction. Umpires will be calling this during the season.
  10. Badgers losing Greg Scruggs to Michigan.
  11. Sasaki will be attending Stanford. If 2025 doesn’t work out I say tank in 2026 and go for Sasaki!
  12. Well that was just a pathetic showing by the Bucks against Miami.
  13. Should be a very interesting game this weekend against UCONN. I think the 8-game winning streak comes to an end here. I am not sure Marquette will be able to survive their 2-minutes of can't score stretches against UCONN.
  14. Don’t criticize things that the Swifties care about!!! You may have to go in hiding now. You may even get a visit by the FBI and CIA! You may have to become a Cardinals fan now! No one would look for a Brewers fan as a Cardinals fan? Good luck Turbo!
  15. The White Sox would want to start with Chourio or Misiorowski. That is the White Sox starting point so you can throw out Frelick, Mitchell and Wiemer as a starting point. I don’t think a trade is possible with the White Sox for Cease.
  16. 2013 Beyonce, 2015 Katy Perry, 2017 Lady Gaga and 2022 Eminem.
  17. Ighodaro is someone who I think will be a good NBA player. Someone I would hope the Bucks could trade up in the draft to get. Possible Portis replacement if the Bucks decide to trade him in the off season.
  18. So the Boys went from the hood to the boat interesting...
  19. Yes but also no. The new streaming will have more which will include MNF which ESPN+ doesn't currently offer. It will probably cost about $50 which is about what you would be paying for if you had cable.

  21. That was an ugly beat down.
  22. ARM is a good stock to own.
  23. Fox, ESPN and Warner Bros. tag team on some streaming for some sports. https://finance.yahoo.com/news/disney-doubles-down-on-sports-streaming-with-warner-bros-discovery-fox-partnership-225631053.html Also ESPN will be launching their own streaming platform in the fall of 2025. I think we are getting close to where ESPN won't be on cable or you will have to pay an even higher amount to get ESPN on cable. Which means the cable companies will definitely drop ESPN at some point. Fox teaming up with ESPN is interesting. You may have to watch MLB playoffs on a streaming platform at some point. I think MLB needs to get the regional sports issues situated and soon. They need to get the streaming rights back from the teams that sold them stupidly. The Brewers were dumb in selling their streaming rights. They didn't even get much for it. Hopefully MLB can get this back and Amazon doesn't get it as I think MLB will want to negotiate as a whole all teams instead of only having a few teams to sell to the streaming providers. If MLB can't get all of the teams streaming rights we will just be back where we were with the regional tv contracts. Teams like the Yankees, Dodgers, Cubs and others will be able to get a larger cut of the pie while the smaller market teams will get the scraps left over. MLB needs to get the rights back if you want to see a more even playing field. Yes this means you won't be able to just flip to the channel and you will have to subscribe to a service. With the new cable boxes this won't be a problem as the new cable boxes already coming with Netflix, Amazon, YouTube and other services applications.
  24. Probably are Cardinals fans that got lost going to Florida.
  25. I think the Bucks made the wrong trade. Beal would have been a better pickup but I don't think the Wizards would have wanted Middleton or Jrue. So the offensive problems wouldn't have been fixed by keeping Jrue. I think it would be the same team just with a different problem.
