  2. Pretty sure it was in early January.
  3. Does anyone know when they switched from team photos for fan appreciation day to schedule magnets? The magnets are cool, but I would prefer a team photo.
  4. The Bucks promo schedule was released this morning: http://www.nba.com/bucks/...promotional_schedule.html
  5. Just chipped in a little -- really appreciate all the hard work that goes into this.
  6. wow, I don't think I need 138 bobbles though...lolOh, I missed that he wants to sell the whole lot together, just saw the huge list.
  7. I don't have what you're looking for, but someone on craigslist has a Hammonds and I think the Yount: http://milwaukee.craigslist.org/clt/842369027.html
  8. Well of course not. But it's a great, fan-friendly policy that people have gotten used to. I'm reminded of how cool the Brewers are for having this policy everytime I go to another venue. I don't care for most of the stadium food options and enjoy planning ahead to bring healthier food in. So few people know about this policy or take advantage of it as it is.
  9. The article linked in the original post has a little background on the name: "Thunder is a fitting moniker for the Oklahoma City franchise, not only as a reference to powerful storms in the area known as Tornado Alley. The Oklahoma City-based 45th Infantry Division carries Thunderbirds as its nickname, and that's a reference to the state's American Indian heritage." In light of that I think Thunderbirds would have been better, but whatever.
  10. I guess I'm the first to mention Moises Alou. I hate even typing his name.
  11. In today's paper there's an ad for a Braun and Parra signing at Serb Hall next Saturday. I checked out the website and could not believe the prices: "Autograph Tickets are $99 for all items except Jerseys and Bats which are $125. Inscriptions Only $40 ea item" http://www.ryanbraunautographs.net/ Amazing. I couldn't find any information about pricing for Parra.
  12. Absolutely it's over the top, should have warned about that. I'm not lucky enough to be going to any of these solo shows so I've been following along online. I'm sure that makes it seem worse than it really was.
  13. PJ Message Pit has a big thread about it:http://forums.pearljam.com/showthread.php?t=300127
  14. Immediately after the last out, CC just had a blank look on his face, no fist pump or celebration at all. To me he looked spent and not happy. I'm sure CC will be fine, but Ned's squirming in the dugout didn't make him look too confident in the decision either.
  15. Mostly pitchers seem due, including Suppan (unfortunately) and maybe Bush. Gallardo and Parra definitely make sense, and I'll guess Italian to complete the 'ethnics'. A legends one of Rob Deer or Teddy Higuera would be incredible.
  16. See post 729 in this thread from tristarscoop for a good description of what to expect. But these upcoming block parties are pretty much unprecedented in terms of the number of big names, so it's anyone's guess how early we'll need to be there.
  17. Amen, and not just on left turns. At any stop light, if there's a line of cars, when the light turns green, if everyone would step on the gas at the same time, we could all be moving immediately. Also, why do smokers feel it's okay to litter? Why is the street your ashtray when there's one in your car? Do you not realize that when you're cruising along and decide to flick your butt out of your car, it happens to fly into the car behind you?
  18. I was hoping to go to Saturday's game in part to get a Miller High Life Cooler Bag, but I'll be out of town for a week. If anyone is going and will have an extra, I have 2 completed BP C'mon Back cards that I would trade for one cooler bag. I return Sat Aug 2, so we could do the trade then, or I could send the BP cards out sooner if you'd like, then get the cooler later. Shoot me a message if you're interested -- thanks. C'mon Back details: http://www.cmonbackclub.com/rules.asp Remaining Redemption Dates: August 8, August 19, September 2, September 4, September 8, and September 23
  19. Good point. Looks like it starts March 5.http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20080323&content_id=2452760&vkey=news_mlb&fext=.jsp&c_id=mlb
  20. Looks like the giveaway is Fri Aug 1. http://www.helenabrewers.net/calendar/calendar.php?type=month&calendar=1&day=1&month=08&year=2008 You don't have a picture, do you?
  21. Good riddance indeed, but I don't really consider Clark Kellogg an improvement.
  22. How'd it go? Any luck getting Braun? Also, do players sign anything you bring on auto Fridays, or only those player cards?
  23. They start at 11 but the players don't arrive until 11:30 or so. So Branyan could make it I'm sure, but you're right Stetter seems to be double-booked.
