  1. Count me as someone who thought King + Biegel > Watt. I’ll own up to it. In hindsight, King’s injuries don’t surprise me (it seems like their new toys are always broken), but Biegel having basically zero value after one year does. He’s on the Saints’ active roster now ... hope that move doesn’t come to bite the Packers.
  2. Hard to argue against that. The poor guy has one career fumble on a hard tackle. What a time for it to come. Packers’ season in a nutshell.
  3. Yeah, but it kept the depleted defense on the field longer. Again, all these little things added up to doom the Packers.
  4. They’re due for a new coach, but MM deserves the gold watch treatment. Thank you for XLV, Coach. If John Harbough gets let go for the same reason, I’d like to see the Packers seriously consider him. I want to know for sure that the next guy is capable of winning a Super Bowl.
  5. Unbelievable to think it was tied 17-17 to start the 4th quarter AND the Packers were driving. That’s the Packers’ season in a nutshell. They have the talent to keep things interesting, but luck hasn’t been on their side and they have yet to string together a solid 60 minutes of play. I’m still optimistic about 2019 and beyond (10 picks, lots of cap room), but the sun is setting on yet another season with Rodgers at the helm.
  6. For 8 years, I’ve been wondering why the Packers don’t let Randall Cobb pass once every few games. The media stiffs say you don’t take the ball out of your best player’s hands. Yet, it appears that other good teams let non-QBs pass once in a while.
  7. Anything past the 50 yard line is 4-down territory.
  8. To be fair, he has at least two fumbles, but yeah. Pretty silly. And the guy who forced most of the turnovers on defense plays for another team now.
  9. Even if NE scores here, the Packers will still be within striking distance. Keep the faith. Gotta find an extra stop somewhere.
  10. Every break going NE’s way. I just don’t know if the D can hold up.
  11. That’s the NFL ... hold your breath on every play. But they don’t care. Ratings are up.
  12. Way to use your head, Breeland!
  13. And Kentrell Brice gets hurt ... what a selfish move by Whitehead.
  14. The Rams couldn’t do the Packers any favors today. Looks like that pick will be 25+. I had (somewhat optimistically) hoped it would be 15-20 due to the strength of the NFC South.
  15. Except everyone in the country other than the referee disagrees with you at this point. I’m OK with ejections for head shots too.
  16. I’m finally all caught up on the DVR and the second half is already a drag.
  17. Kevin King is using up all his sick days in the first half of the year.
  18. It was tough watching Cordarrelle Patterson carve them up on that last drive. There’s some extra sting there with him being an ex-Viking. The pace of the game seems to be moving pretty well. With daylight savings time, it feels like an 8:30 pm start.
  19. Geez, they ran the ball so well on the first drive and now all they’re just passing. 24 plays: 6 runs, 18 passes.
  20. It looks like Scott is the lone active punter tonight for Green Bay. Also, the Packers mat have caught a break with Gronk inactive. I think we’re in for a good game. Go Pack!
  21. Brew4U was on the paternity theory last night ... so someone knew. But to your point, I would not have put two and two together myself. My wife thinks JK Scott looks like he’s in high school, so her first response was ‘him?’
  22. Thanks. Demovsky is my go to guy for Packers news and it looks like he just now tweeted that Scott and his wife were expecting. Weird that ESPN pays the guy to be a full time Packers reporter and he wasn’t on that story earlier.
  23. I can’t find anything suggesting Scott is an expecting father. A pair of articles suggested the Packers were playing tricks with the roster (something Belichick would do). Patterson is a pretty good return man and maybe their ST units have prepped for Scott punts and Crosby kick-offs all week. A interesting use of their last roster spot if that proves true. Of course, another article suggested it may be to light a fire under Scott.
