  1. They still beat the Cubs 2008 Brewers won a game. And were without an injured Sheets. What's the Rockies' excuse? I think they just ran into a good team.
  2. I’m really a pretty optimistic Packer fan. I’ve been a long time apologist for TT/MM and don’t think Ted gets enough credit for building a winner (despite his later struggles). And despite my occasional criticism of McCarthy, I know for a fact he’s capable of winning a Super Bowl because I’ve seen him do it with my own eyes. That being said, I’m really struggling to defend the organization. Hoping for a better outing next Monday. I still love my Packers.
  3. I agree with the call to send him out there with a few seconds left, but disagree with the previous two FG attempts. He wasn’t right today. The coach has to recognize that. The coach also has to play the long game and the situation of the game. Chances of picking up a first down with 15 yards to go aren’t great. You hopefully get Crosby out there and he boots one thru making it a one score game with plenty of time to get the ball back. And you show faith in a player you trust. I know where you’re coming from, but I also think we had the momentum after scoring TD’s on three consecutive possessions. I would have given Rodgers one last shot. The odds of converting a pass in that situation could not have been much worse than a 50/50 FG from a kicker who had gone 0 for 3 on his previous attempts.

  5. For those of you living near Green Bay, at least your Zillow value is going to go up when Mike McCarthy sells his house next Spring.
  6. That’s on McCarthy for even sending Crosby out there.
  7. I caught up to my DVR a few minutes ago and now am reminded of how awful live football is with replay, penalties, and the like.
  8. If I would have told you that the Packers still would not have punted with 5 minutes to go in the game, you would have taken that - right?
  9. Fun. It’s not my expectation for the Brewers to win the World Series. Therefore, the fact that it’s still possible this late in the season makes it fun. The same outlook makes it gut wrenching for me to watch the Packers. You know they are capable of winning the Super Bowl, yet they are about to go 0 for 8 on attempts since XLV.
  10. Basically a turnover.
  11. I’m trying hard to remain objective. What do you think Detroit’s average starting field position has been? I bet it’s 40 yards greater than the Packers’.
  12. I thought it was a result of him not practicing. Now, I’m not so sure. It doesn’t matter. He’s our QB for the next 5.5 years.
  13. Another miss, but they should have gone for it anyway. That’s on McCarthy. Your kicker isn’t right and you’re down by 17. It’s not that big of a risk.
  14. Another missed FG. I can’t remember the last time Crosby missed to makeable FGs in a row. Every break is going Detroit’s way.
  15. Mods - I’d be neat if you could share any details about trends in site traffic or growth in users over the last year. Personally, I don’t think I’ve been this active since 2008.
  16. Remember when keeping 8 receivers sounded rediculous?
  17. I’m a big Jordy fan and I was OK with the move. That being said, I still wish he were on the roster right now instead of Cobb.
  18. I stopped at Kohl’s during my lunch break. They had a small selection of division champs gear at full price. There was one sweatshirt I liked, but they were down to just mediums. I had hoped to pickup something I could wear to work next week, but their regular Brewer merchandise was mainly t-shirts and a few jerseys. They probably thought they’d be in full Packer / Badger mode by now. They also wanted full price for a Lucroy jersey.
  19. I wonder how that compares to the rest of Illinois or even neighboring states (IDK, I’ve never leased)? But yeah, ‘rediculous’ is one of the first words to come to mind. I’ve always thought paying sales tax on a used vehicle purchase was unnecessary because someone already paid the sales tax when it was new.
  20. The giant L flag at Miller Park a few weeks back was funny, but I’d say that gag has peaked.
