  1. It’s probably too soon to tell, but most championship QBs win their first Super Bowl early in their career. If it doesn’t happen soon, I’d move on. Peyton Manning is sort of the outlier of the last 20 years. He won his first Super Bowl in his 9th season. Otherwise, most elite QBs win much earlier: - Brady (2nd year) - Roethlisberger (2nd) - E. Manning (4th) - Brees (9th) ... but 4th year w/ Saints - Rodgers (6th) - Wilson (2nd) - Mahomes (3rd)
  2. I’m not sure who I’d rather face in the NFC Championship game, so I think I’ll just be rooting for quadruple overtime tonight. At least the winner will be exhausted and already down a day of rest to the Packers. I have nothing against the Chiefs, but count me in on a Bills / Browns AFC Championship game. Those fan bases deserve it.
  3. 1) Yes, the Packers are a first-class organization. The Queen could have stripped Harry of his Dukedom after he opted out of the royal family, but she didn’t because it would have been petty. 2) No, he opted out. But would he even want one?
  4. Not her first time slurring. I honestly wonder if she had a stroke. Otherwise she is getting bombed on the job. I noticed it during the first Packers / Bears game at Lambeau, but attributed to the cold. Seeing her twice in that condition concerns me. I’ve always been a fan of hers and hope she’s OK. This may have been her last game since the #2 won’t be needed next weekend. Maybe FOX was aware of the issue, but wanted to let her finish the season? They probably added Kristina Pink to shoulder the reporting load down the stretch.
  5. Pam Oliver does not sound well. I hope she’s just cold and there’s nothing else going on.
  6. I also thought that was odd. They must be working off regular season stats.
  7. Not a ton to complain about at halftime. The Packers’ offense just went FG-TD-TD-FG against the #1 defense in the league.
  8. It’s good to see fans in the stands, but the background noise sounds annoying after 16 games of crystal clear sound.
  9. Jamie Lynn Spears keeps running over her cats and blames Tesla for making cars that are too quiet. https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/jamie-lynn-spears-blames-tesla-001659260.html
  10. I only buy them a couple times a year so I just wait til they are super high. This is rational behavior. Under most circumstances, the expected value of a $2 lottery ticket is far less than $2. However, after a jackpot rolls over enough, the expected value of a $2 lottery ticket can become greater than $2. At this point, it becomes prudent to play the lottery.
  11. No new positive tests today. They’re not out of the woods yet, but I take that as a good sign.
  12. It’s currently 37 in Green Bay. Families are outside taking walks. The Rams could not have been gotten any luckier with Green Bay weather in January.
  13. I’m happy to be wrong on so may of these predictions.
  14. New Lil Wayne Packers’ theme just in time for game day: https://www.fox6now.com/news/lil-wayne-to-drop-new-green-bay-packers-song-for-playoffs
  15. The Rams flight was reportedly delayed 2 hours last night due to mechanical issues. I know that worked against the Packers once in the 2016 NFC Championship Game, so I don’t feel too bad for them.
  16. Honestly, they should probably hire two: one to make decisions and one to audit the first guy. A player’s agent should just keep a CPA on staff to periodically review the actions of the financial advisor.
  17. After learning the Rams and 49ers will each get two 3rd round compensatory picks for losing minority staffers to other organizations (where they took promotions), I can’t help help but be salty about the Packers losing their entire coaching staff and personnel department to the Seahawks in 1999 and getting jack squat in compensation.
  18. I fully expect to have my soul crushed in the most agonizing fashion every January, so this would be a fitting way for this season to end.
  19. James Harden to the Nets. They’ll be a tough out if Kyrie Irving decides he wants to play basketball again. His situation reminds me of the Larry Sanders fiasco. https://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/261170/Nets-Acquire-James-Harden-From-Rockets-For-Four-FRPs-Four-Swaps
  20. Why is someone with more than 3 offenses allowed to buy a car or even drive? License should be permanently revoked. I generally agree, but it doesn’t actually require a license to get behind the wheel (people shouldn’t drive without insurance either, but it happens every day). My guess is his license was permanently revoked about 10 offenses ago and the guy still insists on turning a friend’s car into a torpedo every now and then.
  21. I’m with you there. For as much money as these programs generate with low cost labor, the least they could do would be guarantee their scholarship and stipend for 4 years (provided they remain in good standing).
  22. How does that work? Would ARCS show an entire season of a TV series they deem popular or do they jump around from week to week?
  23. Actually, I think you could reduce the number of scholarships offered by each program from 85 to some number <85. Right now, a small number of schools are hoarding 4 and 5-star recruits on their benches. If the NCAA desired parity (which they probably don’t), this would help spread out the elite recruits over more programs. Naturally, the dominant programs would object and say you’re taking away educational opportunities from people who may need them the most. This could be countered by offering additional scholarships for support staff or grad school vouchers for athletes who complete their degrees but have few pro opportunities. That being said, this will never happen.
  24. 2017 was just an an odd year in the NFC and that allowed a weaker champion to emerge from the conference: - Brett Hundley started 9 games for the Packers - Seahawks missed the playoffs for the only time in the Wilson/Carrol era - Cowboys predictably regressed to 9-7 after going 13-3 in 2016 - SF was starting to compete again and won 6 of 7 after starting 0-9
  25. I had to look him up on Wikipedia yesterday because I hadn’t heard his name in 5 years. He seems like a decent guy, save for that wild deceased girlfriend hoax. It may not have been entirely his fault. If I recall correctly, he had been ‘catfished’ into believing he was in an online relationship with a girl from Stanford and then felt like he had to keep the faux relationship going to avoid embarrassment.
