  1. Hand was likely recalled so he can serve as long-man because Figaro is starting on Tuesday.
  2. Adam McCalvy ‏@AdamMcCalvy 2m According to @CBEV_3, who appears to be good friends with Donovan Hand, looks like the righty is on his way to Milwaukee. Donovan Hand recalled to take Henderson's spot.
  3. They likely just want to rest him for awhile before optioning him. Being on the MLB DL is more beneficial than being on the MILB DL. They'll probably just wait awhile and see how Fiers does in the rotation, and then send Burgos down if he's doing fine. Also, Narveson is being stretched out as a starter, so that makes it even less likely that Burgos will have a spot to return to.
  4. Agreed. Everything seems to look good except the modern baseball jerseys. Basketball and throwbacks look great too, along with the hockey and football. Football jerseys look the best in my opinion. The new Nike knockoffs look awesome.
  5. Might as well fire him. Can't hurt when the pitching has been this bad. Not that a new guy would necessarily make a difference, but the pitching certainly wouldn't get worse. Might as well try something.
  6. I could see Kranitz getting fired before Roenicke. Just to mix things up a bit to see if it works.
  7. That's possible, but then they he needs to be down for 10 days and won't be available if Burgos or Peralta need to be removed from the rotation. I guess they can make that move if they are comfortable with those guys, but I don't get the sense that Burgos' spot is safe. Fiers could be immediately brought back if Lohse ended up going on the DL, so I guess it's an ok move.
  8. Fiers is starting for Lohse on Saturday, so he's not going down. Burgos likely won't either, because they'll need him to start Monday with Lohse being skipped. I'd say Figaro is most likely at this point. Although, I suppose Peralta or Burgos could go if they can push Lohse up a few days from his expected Thursday start.
  9. It looks like they are saying that Hennig was responsible for HHH being injured. Just look at the WWE website and read the SD spoilers from tonight. They just didn't do it right on TV for some reason.
  10. It's pretty obvious how things will play out for right now. Bianchi will start vs RHP, and Weeks will start vs LHP. Bianchi is a career .077 hitter vs. LHP. Yes, that is only in 26 at-bats, but we've all seen that RRR loves playing matchups even if it's on a small sample size.
  11. Like I said before, the name just reminds me of the Rocky Maivia name, where they acknowledged the family and still did a tribute name. Doesn't make much sense in this case either. Just let him have his own name. It's not like how Curt Hennig became Mr. Perfect. This is just a stupid mash-up name that isn't necessary. The best way to keep up the family tradition is to actually use his own last name. They let Orton, DiBiase, and Rhodes keep their names. Just makes no sense. My guess is that Vince came up with the name himself, and though it was cool, so he went with it.
  12. I agree that it wasn't booked right, but that doesn't mean they buried him. Burying him would've been HHH beating him down and pinning him, and then having him essentially disappear from television. That didn't happen. He'll still be pushed. HHH is a big fan of his, and is the reason for his push. Also, The Rock is apparently behind him because he has trained with him for his matches ever since he returned to the WWE. He's going to be pushed big time. One night that could've been booked better won't change that. Just putting him with Heyman is enough to give him legitimacy. It's pretty clear what they'll do with the HHH angle. He'll be off TV for awhile, and his family will try to talk him into retirement and never wrestling again, but he'll come back to wrestle a big match at SummerSlam. Possibly a 3rd match against Lesnar is my guess.
  13. How did he bury him? He didn't beat him in the match. HHH is known to be a big fan of Hennig's. He's likely the reason why he was chosen to be Heyman's new client. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if he puts him over at Payback in June. Getting launched into a possible feud with HHH is a far cry from being buried. But yeah, the name is stupid. I like that Hennig got chosen, not the name. It reminds me of Rocky Maivia. Maybe he'll adapt into The Ax, lol.
  14. So how many runs can Yo afford to allow against Kershaw? Hopefully he can keep it at 1 here.
  15. Couldn't agree more. More brilliant moves from Ron Yost. That is completely bass ackwards. What has Bianchi done in his illustrious career to prove he DOES deserve to start? Exactly. Rickie struggled the first 2 months last year also, and then was himself the rest of the way. Benching him permanently for Bianchi won't help long term. Rickie needs to be set up to succeed when possible to get back on track, and starting against guys he's been good against is a way to do that. If he continues to struggle, and progressively gets worse, even in good matchups, then he'll be on the bench a lot more. Bianchi isn't gonna be the savior. He's definitely going to be a great utility IF, and bench bat, but he can't be counted on to be a starting 2B at this point.
  16. Heyman is adding a new client tonight. Should be interesting to see who it is. There are rumors that it could be RVD, but could be someone on the current roster or from NXT. Cesaro or Ryback would make sense. Ohno would be really cool.
  17. I think Bianchi needs to learn to play 1B, so he can play over Yuni and Gonzalez there. He clearly won't continue to get playing time over Weeks. Against the LHP Kershaw, who Weeks has good numbers against, I don't really have an issue with him starting.
  18. The whole problem was that too many matches were on the card, so none of the matches outside of Ryback/Cena and HHH/Lesnar got enough time. That made pretty much all the matches average. I thought a few of them had great potential with more time. HHH/Lesnar was the best, but I didn't like that Lesnar needed Heyman's low blow to win. Ryback/Cena was kind of dumb because of the finish. Show/Orton was probably the best of the rest.
  19. Works for me. Could use a left handed bat off the bench too when Hart returns.
  20. I've wondered this as well. Look at a team like the Cardinals, who are constantly drafting behind the Brewers, and have tons of good prospects in their farm system. Drafting well makes a world of difference. I would blame Seid the most in terms of failed draft picks in recent years, but obviously the whole front office is partially responsible.
  21. Is there something in Krod's contract that he had to be up in the major's by a certain date (about right now) or he can walk? I assume the club figures they rode him out this far in his comeback that they may as well give him his shot to try and catch lighting in a bottle rather than just let him walk now. I would hope that if he is ineffective they quickly cut him loose and bring up one of the other guys mentioned from AAA. Yep, had 30 days to call him up after the signing. And he likely won't be cut since he's making $2M this year now.
  22. I think Sanchez is first up if someone else happens to get injured. He may have actually gotten the call over Fiers if they didn't feel that they needed an extra long-man in the pen. I do believe that they like him a lot for the future. Hand and Wooten are a different story though. They are likely pretty buried, which is surprising given the success of Jim Henderson, who was in a similar situation to those two last year before being recalled.
  23. Sanchez, Hand, and Wooten have no major league experience, K-Rod has plenty. That's likely their logic with this move. Not that I agree with it, but it's pretty obvious to see.
