  1. That's a good point. I hadn't thought about that. I think there might be something to it.
  2. Yep, Gomez definitely broke his collarbone. Crap. In other news, Yuni is a moron.
  3. Yeah me too. I don't think Braun is capable of not hustling though. That's just the kind of player he is.
  4. You're gonna base that on one at-bat? Even after he just had 3 hits last night and his approach looked great. Yeah I don't think McGehee has found it again but he did hit that one hard. Not really saying he has turned the corner yet, but last night looked like a step in the right direction (let's hope). And the fact that Melvin has been looking at 3B tells me that he doesn't believe McGehee has turned the corner. Roenicke might, but I doubt Melvin is that comfortable.
  5. You're gonna base that on one at-bat? Even after he just had 3 hits last night and his approach looked great. If he goes 0-4 tonight with 4 terrible at-bats then you might have a point.
  6. Sounds like he's more interested in Carroll than Furcal, but we'll see.
  7. LHB vs Breslow this year .400/.414/.582. I'll pass.
  8. This is worst case scenario with Yuni and McGehee tonight. I just hope this doesn't make Doug think he doesn't need to improve the left side of the IF. McGehee may be turning around, but this is clearly a fluke for Yuni.
  9. Yeah, I honestly think Doug is more worried about 3B than SS too, which is sad. All I keep hearing is that he's looking at 3B. And Roenicke is infatuated with Yuni too apparently. Wilson gets 4 hits in 2 games then rides the bench.
  10. Yeah, it pisses me off that he keeps putting them in there but really he doesn't have many options. He could put Wilson in there, but he probably already missed out on his chance to keep him hot by not playing him yesterday. It's really annoying, but Melvin needs to bring someone in or this won't change.
  11. Braun's back. Hart 9 Morgan 8 Braun 7 Fielder 3 Weeks 4 McGehee 5 Betancourt 6 Lucroy 2 Gallardo 1
  12. To be correct. Plush isn't Nyjer Morgan. Plush is Nyjer Morgan's alter-ego.
  13. Their next 10 games after this series with the Reds are against St. Louis, Atlanta, and Philadelphia. They can kiss first place goodbye.
  14. Nearly everyone here has been calling for over a month to have Melvin bring up Green, you aren't on to something all by yourself, but it seems pretty clear by now that Melvin is stubborn as all hell and instead would prefer seeing McGehee and occasionally Counsell produce absolutely nothing at thirdbase. Hardricourt has mentioned that Doug just doesn't want to use an unproven rookie in a playoff race. Yea, it's a ridiculous excuse given how miserable McGehee has been for about 75 games now, both on offense and defense. If that is the case though, it is what it is, regardless of how much we can disagree with Melvin on bringing up Green. So if Doug foolishly will continue being stubborn with Green/McGehee, i'd certainly rather have Betemit than simply just sticking with Casey, so long as we don't have to give up a top 5-7 prospect, which i doubt it would cost. Well said. This is really what the situation is right now. Betemit > McGehee right now, and will come cheap so I say do it.
  15. I don't either. I'm confused by our interest in him.
  16. http://www.mlbtraderumors...feed&utm_medium=facebook Brewers listed as being interested in Beltran.
