  1. I'd be all for this, and I think almost everyone else would be too. I just don't see the Brewers even putting in an offer on Lee. It seems logical based on the fact that we are looking for a real 1/2 starter, and we won't get one for Prince. However, I just don't see us doing it. I think we'll take the 3/4 for Prince, and sign a 3/4 like Westbrook. Then we'll have Gallardo, Wolf, Prince trade, Westbrook, and Narveson maybe as our rotation. That's probably not gonna cut it. Lee, Gallardo, Wolf, Westbrook, Prince trade would look a lot better in my opinion.
  2. If Weeks were to leave, I'm pretty sure Lawrie would be our starting 2B, so I don't think Green or Farris factor into the equation in that respect. Green, like you said, is better than Farris in almost every aspect. If it comes down to those 2 for one spot, it's gonna be Green for sure.

  4. Once you continue into checkout there is a place to type in the jerseys and sizes that you want, so that's how it's done.
  5. One thing I've noticed about jerseymall is that the selection is far less from what nfljerseysupply has. Although on jerseymall the prices are cheaper and the quality is known to be good.
  6. I still want jerseys koestler, so I'd be in.
  7. Trevor Hoffman's 600th save! It was awesome being there tonight!
  8. I really don't think that Rickie's agent is going to be an issue when it comes to resigning him. He ignored us with CC mainly because we had no shot at him and he wasn't going to resign here, period. I think that Rickie will be interested in returning and signing an extension, so I don't see this going down the same way. I think he'll get extended sometime this offseason. I heard Doug Melvin's interview on WSSP last week and he made it seem like it's a big priority to resign Weeks.
  9. 48 Medium 50 Large 52 XL and so on.
  10. I'll be getting mine in soon. I just need to take one more look at the spreadsheet before I make a final decision.
  11. Could I also get the spreadsheet please? funkeds12@uww.edu
  12. YES! Mat Gamel is finally getting an AB! It's about time Macha!
  13. Completely agree. Also tells you how big of an idiot Ken Macha is.
  14. Basically, I think the Brewers will convert him right back into a starter just based on need. I held the belief a few days ago that he'd be in the 2011 bullpen and the 2012 rotation. Then I heard DM interviewed on 1250 the other day, and his comments made it seem like they might start stretching him out in the AFL. I think that they might try to get him into the 2011 rotation, but he'll likely go to AAA to start out.
  15. Fielder is currently 11th in the NL among 1B in runs batted in. At best, he's no better than the 4th best at his position in the NL, clearly behind Pujols, Votto and Adrian Gonzalez. To compare his contract situation with Joe Mauer is laughable. That the Phillies grossly overpaid Howard doesn't mean Fielder will get that same kind of money. So there is definitely a scenario where the Brewers could a) afford Fielder and b) outbid the market. All they have to do is patiently wait. If they retained Fielder, and he duplicated his 2010 season in 2011, his value will fall below the offer he's already turned down from the Brewers back in April. No team is going to offer a 1B coming off back to back 85 RBI seasons over $20 million a year. Now of course, if they received a very good offer of pitching help, they will and should jump on it. But I'm not holding my breath. Hudson would have been a pretty good return. Forget what the scouts say. Hudson's outperformed the scouts evaluation of him since the day he was drafted in the 5th round in 2008 and he's still doing it. While the logic of his current stats bringing his value down is relevant, I don't think that'll be the case. Knowing Boras he'll be using other contracts, like Ryan Howard's for example, as a basis for what Fielder gets. He'll also want to look back at Fielder's 50 HR season and insane RBI output from last season. Teams will more be buying on pat success than what he did this season. I just don't see the Brewers paying Prince a minimum of $25 million like Howard got. To me that means that this isn't gonna happen. I think he's as good as gone.
  16. Thought I'd post this here too. http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/102093458.html Thought this was interesting from TH. Also includes a link to an article from Jayson Stark. Here's a quote from TH, "Stark was told the Brewers wanted two young front-line pitchers for Fielder back then and would have done a deal if a team made such an offer." Apparently, Melvin thinks he can get both starters that we need just for Fielder. I doubt that happens, but you never know I guess.

  19. I don't think we're gonna mess around with possibly losing players like Weeks to free agency. If Melvin can't extend him before next season, I think he'll for sure get traded just like Prince. I don't want this to happen, and I hope we can keep Weeks, but this is a definite possibility.
  20. Well, the pitchers we acquire will probably be cheap. But you figure that if we keep Weeks a good chunk of money will go to him. Then everyone will get increases in arby, and depending on what offensive positions are left open, I could see us going after a bat in free agency. Attanasio's comments just make it seem to me that he isn't willing to go after pitcher's in free agency anymore. Weeks and the other arby raises are already factored in, and I factored one of the pitchers we acquire to have a mid-sized salary too. We could sign a bat, but that won't eat up $30 million. Ok, well we don't need to spend all the money right away. I guess if we could get a quality starter that isn't old and average like Wolf or Suppan we might do it, but I just don't see it happening. Although, if we don't trade two bats for pitchers, I guess we do need to sign one starter. Either way, I don't see our payroll equalling this year's payroll.
  21. I understand what your saying, but at the same time, do you think its important to slash payroll by $30 million? Isn't that a little extreme? Well, the pitchers we acquire will probably be cheap. But you figure that if we keep Weeks a good chunk of money will go to him. Then everyone will get increases in arby, and depending on what offensive positions are left open, I could see us going after a bat in free agency. 22. So you are saying both. I agree with you. Although he might need some time in the minors to stretch back into a starter.
  23. Jeffress in the 2011 bullpen or the 2012 rotation? Thoughts?
  24. Took 8 batters before our bullpen got an out this inning...
