Hall is probably pissed that he is losing playing time again. I'm sure that we'll be hearing about him wanting to be traded again soon. But really he won't play more on any other team. Because you can't hit .200 or worse against righties and expect to not be in a platoon.

Guys, don't jump off a bridge yet with the Weeks wrist injury. It's his left wrist, and the wrist he had previously injured was his right wrist. So, it isn't the same problem coming back.

Crap Rickie gets hurt, and then we bring in Hall, who is 0-8 against Wellemeyer and sucks against righties, instead of Gamel. That was the perfect opportunity right there Macha.

I completely agree. They can't sit him on the bench and then expect him to produce this weekend as a DH. He should be starting today, tomorrow, and Thursday, because we face two lefties on Tuesday and Wednesday. Counsell is 2-4 against Wellemeyer, that isn't exactly a huge sample to base starting him off of.

It was so dumb that this game didn't get cancelled. Now we wasted Yovani for no reason at all. He could've just started tomorrow. Now he won't be able to pitch until probably Tuesday, and that messes up the rotation. I just don't understand the reasoning behind starting the game at all.

I'd rather have this game either be postponed or be delayed from the start than having the game start and be delayed a few innings in. Gallardo would likely have to be removed from the game if that happened.

Gamel isn't a 21 year old prospect, he's in his mid 20s... he'll be past his prime by the time his contract is up. Are you joking? Gamel is turning 24 in July. Major leaguers don't pass their prime at 27. Braun turns 26 after this year, so does that mean that he only has 1 good year left?

I disagree that he'd replace Prince. We have Prince two more years. By then Taylor Green will be ready, so Gamel moves to first. No Nelson there. If not I think Salome could move there in favor of Lucroy. I don't see a scenario where Nelson is our starting 1b with how stacked we are with more talented players than him in the minors.

Does it really matter? He didn't have any future here anyway. He was just gonna be a bench player and nothing more.

I honestly don't care what the corresponding roster move is in relation to this. It's always excited to see a special player like Mat Gamel in the big leagues. I can't wait to see him in action! I wouldn't mind seeing him platoon with Billy the rest of the year. Yes, I know that Billy is hitting .283, but what people don't realize is that he is only hitting .215 vs. righties with 21 K's. He's hitting .444 against lefties with only 4 K's. The splits tell the story for me. If Billy can keep those numbers up, and Gamel vcan adjust to the pro game quickly, this could be one deadly combo for the rest of the year!
