  1. Just wondering if anyone could offer me any tips on how to take care of a certain autographed picture I recently got. At the Bradley Center I bought an Andrew Bogut 8x10 photo and had him sign it. It came in a little cardboard "frame" that basically is just a thin piece of cardboard that says "8x10 photo" on it and that goes over the front and back of the photo. Well, after I got the picture signed I tried to take this off and realized that it was kind of adhering to the bottom of the picture. It left some residual torn paper or whatever sticking to the front of my picture at the bottom. It's almost like if there were a price tag on the front of the picture at the bottom that didn't really come off that well. Does anyone know of any good ways to remove this kind of stuff? I could just cut off the bottom inch of the picture, but I'd rather not if possible as there is a little official NBA sticker in the corner. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
  2. I got two Favre auto pics (that my parents found a great deal on) and a display case for my Ryan Braun auto bat. I also got the Brandon Jennings t-shirt I wanted.
  3. You may want to take a look at: http://packersgameday.com/parking_traffic/packers_parking_and_traffic.htm It's a fan site operated by some guy that has never given me bad info. Last year I got to a game a little over 2 hours early and parked about 4 blocks from the stadium.
  4. i got the digital picture frame for my mom a couple years ago. she only turns it on occasionally (if ever). i don't really get it either cuz she loaded a bunch of pictures onto it and stuff. i have a feeling she maybe just didn't want to leave it on/plugged in all them time, and she never really thinks/remembers to plug it in anymore i just got a digital picture frame for my girlfriend and gave it to her on her birthday, and she likes it a lot and leaves it on all the time. so i guess it kinda depends on the person. my girlfriend is really into pictures and that kind of stuff.
  5. I used a program called Music Rescue. It was totally free. But it had some kind of window that popped up every 50 songs that you just had to click "OK" or "Ignore" or something on.
  6. Awesome list. One minor change: The game on May 8th was at home, not at Wrigley.
  7. was at the game and it was AWESOME. I didn't feel like there were too many Duke fans there - a fair number, as would be expected from any great college program, but no way this game was even close to Cubs-like IMHO As far as the "blown calls" I felt like many of the ones the crowd got upset over were good calls, or at least decent calls (ie could've gone either way). Everyone's emotions were running high just because of the magnitude of the game. Back in the first half I actually thought Bo was gonna get a technical as he argued on a couple early non-calls I believe it was. Then when a foul was called on Duke, he was still complaining about something at a timeout and the one official he had made all his complaints to actually had to give him the stop sign. I was down by the Kohl Center early as I had to put in some work to find a ticket without paying scalper prices. (Tix varied widely in price but I wound up getting one for cheap.) When I got there around 5:30, though, the line for the student gate was already almost a block long (from the Kohl Center all the way out to the street). I got in line with my friends at 7:10 - an hour and 5 minutes before the game, which would normally put you halfway up the 100 level at worst, and I was in the middle of the 200 level. I walked into the pregame deal for a minute but didnt stay long - I had yet to meet up with my friends and had already eaten dinner. If nothing else, though, it made for a nice place to warm up for a couple minutes. In all, the only thing that would've made this night better (and tomorrow worse, no doubt) would be if I were 21 and could go out and have fun. Oh well. At least I got to rush the court http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  8. Just for the record, each of my orders from jersey101 were only one jersey each, so I don't know if you'd run into similar shipping issues with them for large orders or not. At the same time, it sounds like after the experience with nfljerseysupply.com, you guys don't have much if anything lose by giving it a shot.
  9. Holy crap! that is pretty cool for you. Was the signing free? I wanted to get his autograph on an item or two yet, but I wouldn't have been able to go anyways. (I was actually at the Badger game in Evanston. It's kind of ironic that Dayne signed during the Badger game, not before or after.) For anyone interested, he signs this Friday in Madison. 11am-12:30pm. Hilldale Mall University Bookstore. It says it's a book signing for a book about him, so I'm not sure if he's signing other things or whether you have to buy the book to get an auto or not.
  10. The Uecker lot is way too prominent. It should be in that gray-colored lot just southeast of the Molitor lot. That lot is where vendors/Sportservice workers/maybe some ushers park. My 25th anniversary sweatshirt is dated 1994, which is consistent with labeling 2010 as the 40th anniversary. If 1994 is the 25th anniversary, wouldn't that make 2009 the 40th anniversary?
  11. agreed, i don't see how anyone could legitimately argue that the brewers would have been better off with just braun than with just fielder..... fielder meant so much more to our team this year
  12. my 2 blue braun jerseys from jersey101 have golden trim (kinda sparkly like in the logo) on the sleeves, not that somewhat shiny yellowish color that looks like Packer gold..... can't remember the jersey material being shiny (i'm in madison, and my jerseys are back home in milwaukee, so i can't check right now.....) as you'd expect with most cheap knock-off type jerseys, the jersey101 stitching isn't perfect (on one it's just slightly off on a letter or two, on the other it's kinda bad, very noticeable up close but probably not too noticeable by the average fan from 15 feet away unless they're looking for it)
  13. I agree with Mickie's being awesome. I literally watched a high school boy barely finish half of his two huge pancakes there. I thought it was hilarious. The scrambler as mentioned before is what I always get - hash browns, eggs, choice of meat, gravy, and I'm probably missing something..... but it's nice and big..... plus since it's a dairy bar you can get a milk shake or root beer float with breakfast
  14. sorry, i never really paid any attention to this thread at first and for whatever reason didn't think to mention jersey101..... by the time the thread had finally caught my attention with all the constant postings i guess things had already got screwed up with the order..... but like i said, jersey101 has done well for me.... they used to not have many brewers jerseys at all, but they added a bunch before this past season
  15. jersey101.com is a good site to take a look at for those who missed out on this order. I have ordered two separate jerseys from there, and both times it has gone smoothly. Also, I have friends who have had good success with them too. (These were all smaller orders though, but even still I always get two emails before they confirm my order - one to confirm my order and another to confirm my shipping address - ensuring that everything is squared away.) Most of their "authentic" jerseys are under $40 including paypal fees and shipping.
  16. Fair enough..... but these guys went through a lot to get there.... and my guess is that there are lots of "ongoing" type things they have to do to remain MLB umpires that we as the general public just don't know about.
  17. If they have learned anything, they'd no that experience has been shown to be worth absolutely nothing. I would love to see how you show that experience is worth absolutely nothing. Unfortunately, quality and intelligent umpires might be an oxymoron. Just not true.... Perfect umpires is an oxymoron. But then again, so is the idea of a perfect person in general. MLB umpires are the best of the best. Yes, calls do get blown. One blown call, though, doesn't necessarily make a great umpire horrible. That would be like saying one swing at a bad pitch by Ryan Braun makes him an aweful player. He would still be a quality player, just not a perfect player. Going with an inexperienced umpire with no proven track record is like going with Alcides Escobar instead of Ryan Braun in crunch time. The younger/inexperienced player may perform better, but I think in general you'd be an idiot for going with Escobar simply because you think there is a chance Braun might screw up/not be totally perfect.
  18. Counsell, to me, seems like a decent guy who really doesn't like to talk to/be bothered by lots of people/fans. Not much to base this off of, but that's what I'm guessing.
  19. Scott Gudmandson should be starting at goalie. Bennett: 23/26 for saves on Friday. Gudie: 31/32 on Saturday. Gudie also played better in the scrimmage, not allowing a goal, while Bennett gave up 2 goals in fewer shots on goal. And yes, a tie stinks, but I'll gladly take a tie over blowing a 2-goal lead.
  20. That was this year? That feels like four seasons ago. It happened one game in 2008 too.... a Thursday afternoon game in mid-June at Miller Park against the Blue Jays I believe. That was the game we were up 8-0 with Bush taking a no-no into the 8th, and we only won 8-7. That's why i got real nervous when I heard Bush had on going in the 8th inning this year.
  21. Braun's second consecutive Fan Appreciation Night walk-off homer. Walk-off win vs. the Cubbies on Opening Day. Prince breaking the franchise RBI record with Cecil Cooper in the opposing dugout.
  22. I think they did do that the past year or two actually.....
  23. Who says he is even guaranteed to be here in 2010? His value is higher right now that it ever has been before, and it's hard for me to see it going much higher. Chances are you'd get the most in return for him right now. Not saying I want to lose Prince right now, but I think it's a definite possibility. Just because we signed him to a two-year deal doesn't tell me that we're keeping him for those two years for sure.
  24. In between two pieces of cardboard in a regular envelope? Or in a ticket sized toploader in a regular envelope?
  25. Not really buying that.... what would they do with all the terrace level season ticket holders? Give them free upgrades? Make them pay more for the weeknight tickets? Just exclude those games from terrace level season packages altogether? None of those seem like very plausible solutions.
