    i dont really see why the tigers would be in on fielder, they need a 3b. unless they just plan on prince being a dh. maybe they are just bluffing to drive the price for prince up on the white sox. tigers would probably put together a decient package if they started with porcello.

    who plays third if that deal is made? why do we need 3 pitchers? what happens with parra and narveson, i would take hudson and chacin over them any day but would colorado want either of them. maybe add parra to chicago for jordan danks or brent morel. i'd take morel over gilmore and he's at least almost mlb ready. as the days go by i'm thinking more and more that a fielder trade isnt going to happen, same for hart which really gets me mad at our crappy gm.

    i'm sure visquel would play second and teahen will be coming back from injury very soon and counsell could fill in at third until then. unless the crew includes mcgehee.

    apparently kenny williams told the players in the white sox clubhouse the other day that is wasnt going to be trading anyone currently on the roster. he said he wasnt going to sell off anyone who helped them get to where they are. i guess we'll see how much he sticks to that in the next 9 days.

    i love the white sox as a trade partner. if beckham is made available for the fielder trade i would be super stoked, although i really think he needs some time in AAA(he really was rushed). here is my couple of pennies as far as a couple possible trades goes to chicago: fielder and bush to milwaukee: dayan viciedo(can play 1b) dan hudson jordan danks beckham - this would give the white sox a 5th starter and the brewers a replacement for fielder. danks is really fast and hits for good average and works the field well from what i've seen. chicago: fielder, bush and mcgehee milwaukee: dayan viciedo dan hudson jordan danks or brent morel beckham jared mitchell tyler flowers either way i see it being good for both teams. chicago would definatly take the central and milwaukee could be set up very well for the future. any positional log jams could be very good trade pieces since it would be some VERY quality depth (especially if flowers is involved being such a premium position). piece that with trading hart to atlanta for minor and weeks somewhere for some low level pitching and a late 2011/2012 line up like this would be pretty bad ass 1-viciedo/2-lawrie/ss-esco/3-beckham/ lf-braun/cf-cain/rf-gamel/mitchell/danks(bench spots) rotation- gallardo/hudson/minor/odorizzi/5th pitching depth could be very good for the brewers in a couple years, and who knows, maybe we'd be able to trade some of it for a star player. i also really like hunter morris in low A as the 1b of the future.

    the white sox are looking to make a push and kenny williams has said he'd rather win now than rely on his prospects. he is also known to be interested in fielder. fielder/bush/villanueva for hudson/viciedo/flowers/brent morel/jordan danks. i LOVE that deal. viciedo at first. hudson and flowers are ready now and danks and morel could very well be ready next year. flowers or lucroy could be delt, i really like lucroy but flowers looks like the real deal. then deal hart and lucroy to tampa for davis or hellickson. i think everyone is really under valuing hart and with how many teams are interested in corey it could be done. jake mcgee would be a nice piece to work in from tampa as well.

    i really like the idea of giving hart+ for davis and garza. i just dont the the rays would make that deal during the season. they wouldnt deal 2 quality starters in the middle of a pennant chase. maybe if garza could be a player to be named later since we dont really need another starter. i really could see mcgee instead of garza if they were to trade 2 pitchers. mcgee's arm issues worry me though. i'd be ok with hart/villanueva for garza/davis. villanueva is having a good year and has experience starting. hell, give hart/villanueva/coffey for garza/davis.

    i dont really think texas talks start with perez. i dont really see a fit now that smoak has been traded but derek holland would be a pretty good start.

    i love the idea of hart for minor!!! if they work out something for more players what do you think the crew would have to work in for minor and melky cabrera. maybe hart and villanueva. it really doesnt seem like atlanta is all too fond of the melk man. the only thing i worry about is if he'd be just like gomez with less power at the plate. or how about hart and some combo of a couple guys like like taylor green, caleb gindl, cam garfield, or (insert prospect here) for minor and teheren. i also like jordan schafer and think that would be a hell of alot more possible. LEAVE SANCHEZ AND THE GIANTS ALONE!!!! IF YOU'RE NOT GETTING BUMGARNER, WALK AWAY!!!!

    haudricourt says he wouldnt be surprised to see the white sox go after prince. kenny williams said he would rather win now than later and would give up his top prospects for someone to help him win. fielder certainly fits the bill. they really need a solid dh and prince could split time with konerko. i'd start the deal with dan hudson(102k in 88.1 ip), and 2 of tyler flowers/ dayan viciedo/ jordan danks/ jered mitchell/ brent morel. prince + a pitching prospect may get it done.

    If they’re going to trade away good young talent to get an outfielder, I’d think it’d have to be someone of the caliber of a Matt Kemp who the hell keeps convincing people that kemp is good? his defense is extremely poor for a center fielder and is more streaky at the plate than hart.

    i just think that its such a long shot for the crew to be considered a playoff team this season(unless they can do a full on rockies style turn around) that they should be looking for next year. most of the braves pitching prospects (minor especially, i'd really like to get him) could be ready for the majors next year. gallardo/wolf/minor/ and two of parra/bush/narveson could be a really solid rotation next year plus all the money coming off the books after this season that could net a really good free agent outfielder. i dont think tradeing hart is dismantling the team at all.

    the braves are looking for a right handed bat, and mlbtraderumors.com mentions hart being on the list of who they are looking at. they have some good young pitching such as mike minor, julio teheren, and brett devall. would hart net one of them and maybe cody johnson(outfielder who has been in the system for a few years who doesnt really seem to be in their plans for the future). how does the crew match up with the braves?

    i would not say no to j.a. happ. he's on the dl right now but i'm sure the phillies wouldnt be ok with that deal. kyle kendrick would be ok too. he's got quite a bit of service time racked up though(2007)

    How did this kid drop to the 4th round with 23 home runs, 76 rbis, a .386 ba, and a .986 fielding percentage? i dont know too much about the SEC or even that much about college baseball but that line looks pretty sick. better than laportas stats when he got picked by the crew, very similar in size as well. What do you think the odds are that they'll keep him at 1b? might he be ready if prince leaves at the end of his contract(if the brewers dont trade him first.)?

    i'm sure he could be a decient outfielder but i dont think he could get a good enough swing make the change worth it. he showed a bit earlier this season that he could be worth saving. if a suppan/willis deal could be done i say go for it. it couldnt be any worse.

    if kc is looking to deal anyone its alex gordon. they rushed him to the majors and between that and some injuries its catching up to them. it'd a decient idea to get him and throw him at 1b in triple a like the royals are doing so we'd have someone to back up prince WHEN he gets traded. gordon can hit and his sub-par defense wont be as big a factor at first. EDIT: i looked into his defensive stats and they were pretty damn decient. MELVIN- GET ON THE PHONE
