i think there is a better chance the brewers trade hart then move him to 1b if they are to pick up this guy. if 30m is all it would take to get this guy for 5(or 6, i'm not really sure how international FA works) yearsthen the crew should definatly make a runfor him. it could help out if the brewers resign yuni(face it, it will most likely happen)
apparently he will be granted free agency after defecting from cuba. has anyone seen his youtube video? he sure looks like a beast - insane- but a beast. looks like he is expected to get around a similar deal to what aroldis chapman got. i know OF isnt a great need but his kind of power could certainly help take away the sting of prince leaving. here is his video- http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=mD_ZrcUZv94
PLEASE tell me you are joking. he has good strikeout numbers but how in the world is that a good deal. marcum is an above average major league starter at the very least. cole is a pretty good prospect but he is still probably 2-3 years away.
which beloit fielder was it? i still need to get the stockton sheets. i picked up the sheffield ports for like 30 with a buy it now and free shipping about 2 years ago.
i've been looking to pick one of these up for a while and every one i've seen on ebay has only been a buy it now for like 40 or 50 plus shipping. finally one hit auction and i am stoked at the price i got it for. lmk what you think.-kevin http://www.ebay.com/itm/230693341843?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
BERKMAN!! BERKMAN!!! BERKMAN!!!! you think he's open to a 2 or 3 yr deal? i have always been a big gamel supporter but i dont think he can handle playing everyday next year. berkman hitting behind braun would be a pretty easy transition for braun.
i'd take morrisons attitude issues over gamels any day. i dont think gamel+ 1 or 2 prospects for morrison is that crazy at all, especially if mckeon is back next year. he seems to have very little patients for that stuff. i'm not sure how much use they have for gamel though, they have sanchez at first and dominguez at 3rd(should be ready next season). i heard they might be looking at trading morrison to the white sox for ozzie guillen(coach for player trades have happened in the past, chicago asked for stanton for guillen a couple years ago). gamel might fit in with the sox a little better.
going rate is insane. i'm getting field infield box for 100 from my aunt and they are going for over 250 on stubhub edit- by insane i dont mean you shouldnt ask for going rate, but rather how much over face they are.
kind of a bummer katin never really got a shot. if only he didnt strike out SO much. hes got a big arm from the out field and huge power. i think he probably will resign though.
beckett is the most credible grader. i prefer my graded cards from beckett. its not cheap though. old cards will sell much better with a good grade. here is a link to becketts grading rates- http://www.beckett.com/gr...icing.asp?&eskin=beckett . psa is also good for vintage and would cost a few bucks less. beckett has the best looking slabs(in my opinion) and seems to be the best sellers. the best thing for you might be to pick up a couple cheap graded cards and compare condition. a good card shop could also give you a grade estimate. there is also a card show coming up at gonzaga hall in milwaukee on sept. 11. i'm sure there would be someone there that could help you(if you dont know much about cards- dont tell them that, you might get taken). any more question, send me a pm. hope this helps-kevin
I'm looking to trade my extra for pretty much any bobble i need. looking for- 2011 counsell 2011 mcgehee chorizo polish would also trade for some low value autos(prefer no minor league 8x10)
i just came into a bunch of snappers bobbles(sadly no rickie weeks, first prince fielder, or patriotic snappys but i didnt do too bad). Pretty much looking to sell these quick so they if they dont sell here they are going on ebay. prices are negotiable. i live in beloit so shipping may be needed. my trade list is pretty small- stockton port jenkins and sheets huntsville stars sheets older brewers retros brewers uecker would also trade for autos heres what i have don money(brewers uni) w/ ticket stub-$ 70 tony gwynn jr-$25 b.j. surhoff w/ticket-$30 greg vaughn-$45 brewsteer-$30 bill hall-$25 jeff cirillo w/ ticket-$25 dave krynzel-$20 matt garza w/ticket-$30 yovani gallardo-$35 brian duensing-$12 kyle murphy- $5 lmk if you are interested-kevin
i'm not saying it'll happen, heckathorn and gamel could be two cheap impact players for the sox, yuni would on the hook for the rest of this season, narvy still has a couple years on the cheap. eduardo escobar could very well be ready to take over ss for the sox next season and would be even cheaper than the team friendly alexei contract(with how much bad money they have tied up 25 mil or so over the next few years would be a help) danks will probably cost them around 8 mil next season and is a free agent after that while narveson doesnt hit arby until 2013 and free agency until 2016. or swap out danks with gavin floyd(even though floyd is much cheaper, just not as good). they have dug themselves into a financial hole and if they do go into fire sale mode it could work out. i'm not a g.m. or anything but it seems like it could help the sox out. it will never happen though, it would be way to much money for the brewers to take on unless chicago pays at least half of rios' contract
Why? because pence is a better hitter, steals more bases, plays better defense, can actually RUN, has more years under contract, is 6 years younger, beltrans knees are gone, do i really need to go on? seriously, what kind of question is that?
