  1. This is where I am. I don't think he's the 3rd straight Hall of Famer but I don't feel like there's been any true evaluation opportunities. You just can't hand the keys over with all these problems and expect good results. Bad line, bad skill players, an inconsistent defense. Right now the Packers literally do nothing well. Nobody would look good. Rodgers didn't last year. Love obviously looks worse than Rodgers, but we get near halftime and he's thrown 5 passes and we're down 2 scores every week. It's just hot garbage on display.
  2. The Packers are the worst team in the league. The worst offense in the league at a minimum.
  3. Sean Clifford lol. We've reached Fire Phil Garner stage I see. Unless we draft someone else in the first round or Josh Allen walks through the door, Love is our QB.
  4. It's 1976. This is what everyone said would happen when Favre left. We absolutely suck.
  5. Jones is obviously not fully healthy. He would be carrying the offense if he were.
  6. I thought they had it perfect with 10, #4 and #5 having the play-in. It kept just the right amount of competition going through September and meant teams like ours didn't have to win their division. With just 4 there were not as many races going to the end. It's too many now. That should be obvious when teams can't get 35k into the gates for a Wild Card game. The difference in mood between the '11 series with the DBacks and the '18 with the Rockies and this one was staggering. Some of that is fatigue but some of it, IMO, is "wake me up for the LCS."
  7. It's not just you. Some of these are obvious since we were playing in a LCS or WS, but: 1981 - Lose to Yankees, who play in WS. 1982 - Lose WS to Cardinals 1992 - 92 wins, Finish 2nd in ALE to the Jays, who win WS 2008 - Lose to Phillies, who win WS 2011 - Lose to Cardinals, who win WS 2018 - Lose to Dodgers in LCS, they lose WS 2019 - Lose WC to Nationals, they win WS 2020 - Lose to Dodgers, they win WS 2021 - Lose to Braves, They win WS 2023 - Lose to Diamondbacks, ??
  8. Glad to see the Astros bounced. Half my family is from Philly so I am backing them, but I find everyone left to be pretty benign.
  9. Yeah this isn't MLB. There's no veteran they're trading for 5 picks. That was Rodgers 2 years ago. Anyone they pawn off will get a very underwhelming return for reasons already mentioned. They need to devote this year to development and put winning the games second. If I'm the coach, Love is throwing 40 passes next week and most weeks. I don't care if he finishes the year with a QBR in the 20s. Figure something out with those WRs or figure out that Love is awful and turn the page. MLF seems to prefer dying slowly, I like to rip the band-aid off. If you get any sort of progress then you can hope with a year of development and more added pieces, a few deals off the books, that things start trending up again. But step 1 is to abandon all hope of winning this year, stop the training wheel stuff.
  10. I'm not even out on Love being a serviceable QB. I think it's clearly apparent now it's more likely that it doesn't work out, but it's a dumpster fire of a year right now at many angles. Couldn't have set up this year much worse.
  11. I think all those guys I mentioned were first round picks.
  12. Probably not. He's shown enough to at worst ping pong around the league as a backup for a handful of years. Brett Hundley had jobs after Green Bay. Sherrod? Harrell? Ahmad Carroll?
  13. We have at least one more year of fixing the offensive line with reach draft picks that don't pan out before we do anything with our QB, I think. MLF canning becomes a legit outcome next season.
  14. I don't get the call. It's 4 down territory. Make 4th down manageable. There's 100 seconds left, why the heave there?
  15. Honestly I hope we have to have Carlson kick to win it. He needs to get that experience and the sooner we see it the better.
  16. It was a sidearm throw because the one he wanted to make would have been deflected. Then it hit the guy in the hands. I get that some of you don't like Love, but I think we can chill a little.
  17. Doubs should have caught it so I'll take it.
  18. I can't find anything anywhere about simultaneous possession having anything to do with who lands first.
  19. This is gearing up for a tight finish. Can't wait for the rematch in February.
  20. Throw was fine. Would have been a great defensive play from one of the best to pick it off.
  21. I'd have gone for 2. Still a one possession game if they get a FG. Yeah if you hold them scoreless a TD wins it, but the 2 would be my choice.
  22. He absolutely had Watson open on that. Crap throw.
