  1. They really glossed over that challenge with the commercial break but that ball very clearly bounced off the grass.
  2. Incomplete but close enough that a ridiculous call won't surprise me.
  3. If they lose this game by a FG it is 75% on MLF for that sequence. I say 75 because we can't assume he'd make it.
  4. He shouldn't get another chance, he's a kicker. They're not hard enough to find to justify wasting another year. He's evidently not powerful and isn't accurate and wasn't in college.
  5. Replacing Carlson is sadly a top 3 off-season priority.
  6. Carlson leaves a lot to be desired especially in today's league where finding a really good one isn't all that hard. It'd be one think if he had some howitzer leg and was a little erratic but we've seen MLF neglect to kick mid 50 yarders and punt. <57 should be a damn near requirement if you're drafting a kicker or the guy should be super reliable. This guy is neither, maybe he'll get better but missing PATs like he does ain't too encouraging.
  7. On the bright side I don't want to watch this Packers team play a playoff game.
  8. What happened with MLF and that guy? I can't hear the audio.
  9. This show is really something...
  10. I know how it works. But 2nd down is when they're likely still pinned against the run. On 3rd down they're half expecting either. If it's 3rd and 7 just run again and make them use the timeout. But I always take the risk of throwing once to end the game.
  11. Thanks for catching that pass.
  12. I've always hated the 3 runs in that scenario. I like throwing on 2nd down there. But we'll see what happens.
  13. I honestly think we're close to being a good team, but just in that weird space where we do so many little things wrong that we usually end up losing. How we finish the last 6 games or so will be interesting to me.
  14. We really don't do anything well this year do we?
  15. I'm not sure how a sexy manager would be any different. Yeah, when you lose, things tend to change. I'm sure if they hired Robin Yount he'd also be fired when they consistently lose 85 games. I like Craig Counsell. I wish he would have stayed. But I think his influence on their success has been laughably overstated. I think Craig is in for a rude awakening when he tries to replicate the success he'd had with their bullpen. I'm sure a drastic roster overhaul is coming for CHC though. It makes sense me to keep the continuity going when you're consistently finishing top 1/4 of the league. They can't get over the hump because they can't hit. It's not the guy rubbing his face in the dugout.
  16. It's a boring hire no doubt. But they have a good cultural thing going. I'm not at all surprised they did it this way.
  17. Hot take: they'll be about the same as they have been provided they don't firesale this winter, and Chicago will end up looking silly paying a manager $8 million.
  18. Calling today's a "chance" is being pretty liberal. They had 7 DBs standing at the goal line.
  19. "Reset the market" is hilarious. You just wanted money. That's fine. Say it. Stop using that stupid, "noble" expression.
  20. Comedy of errors. That is an unbelievable play. I literally can't believe what I just saw.
  21. Neither MLF nor Gute will be fired. Probably will be next season if we see more of this. If we do pick top 5 or so I will be very interested in the pick. Hard to argue with a QB but they need so much it's hard to argue with much.
  22. Meh. The roster is substantially worse than it has been in some time and it is far from just the QB. I get that everyone's ticked, but let's be serious. The Packers have had some really great teams over the last 20 years and it wasn't just Aaron Rodgers. And that includes some great drafting in that span.
