  1. I had no idea Eliot Wolf has been in New England for a while, has been GM the last two seasons and drafted Maye along with several other hits. Holy whiff, Green Bay.
  2. Why wouldn't they be? For all intents and purposes they should have swept the Bears with a backup QB. I expect that line to move to a push by Saturday though.
  3. I'd caution against using anybody's playing stats to determine their effectiveness as a coach. Just not the same thing at all.
  4. Blocked though, and completed full circle by of course beating us the next game with a FG.
  5. Everything about that Steelers finish looked Green and Gold until Baltimore missed the field goal, which of course never happens for us.
  6. Not so sure Aaron is done. Steelers want him back and you'd be hard pressed to find more pathetic QB play since 2018 than Pitt. Atrociously bad at that position. They will at least try to talk him back, I think. Not sure why since he is carrying them to purgatory, but I think he'll be back.
  7. That's pretty shocking to me. I thought Sunday was a given but the time was up in the air. I am wondering if Amazon paid handsomely for some influence on the playoff schedule. Happy about it though, much more convenient for me.
  8. I'd still think it's a toss-up with a healthy team and I have no doubts it would be like 20-17 even with all our guys. Now we have every excuse in the book, we shouldn't win the game, but we totally can.
  9. Dead horse. But it completely sucks that we lost Parsons this year of all years. The #1 seed is Darnold. The Rams are forced to play a road game at Carolina where they lost a month ago. SF can't stop anyone. The Bears are a fraud. We'd by no means be any kind of lock, but we'd be right in the mix of legitimate contention with just that one guy. If we throw in Wyatt I would have loved to see how this had shaken out.
  10. They are but they are easily capable of beating the wounded duck pretending to be the Packers. I really hope Washington hangs on. Playing Philadelphia is going to be another nap of a playoff game. I have no Super Bowl hopes but playing the Bears again should at least be fun, and played with house money. The Eagles will just be a bore.
  11. I think Gute is safe. Much easier to rationalize him. Yes there have been some bad picks, but there have been some good ones, and I think he would be firmly in the 10-15 range of drafting if you compared him to peers. He's hit in FA most of the time, unfortunately for him the whiffs were last off-season. MLF feels like much shakier ground. He's been there a while now. Coaching is more volatile than FO. I personally hope they move on, but another year won't shock me and I think they can rationalize it with all the injuries. I just think his voice, scheme, etc. has gone stale.
  12. Yeah. Ridder is probably a more serious candidate. They didn't take any part of this game seriously.
  13. I think it is a near lock the Packers are Sunday afternoon with either opponent.
  14. Yeah but there's no way that'll be the Packers against either team. That and Saturday afternoon will be the two stinker matchups.
  15. Not sure I agree. GB is a much larger national viewership audience than Buffalo. GB/CHI has to be the network's #1. Not sure NE carries the same weight without Brady, but I think that would be the #2. Going from recent memory, they tend to put the AFC on Saturday anyway. I am assuming the Packers are definitely playing Sunday, either at 330 or the night game depending on whether or not it's the Eagles or Bears. They may even play the Bears at 330. I think I remember reading that is their ratings money spot.
  16. Safe to assume Packers/Bears would be a virtual lock for Sunday night?
  17. I mean why would you not start Tune? Audition the backup job which is open this off-season. Neither Willis or Love gets hurt, both of whom you may need the following week. The season is a dead end most likely anyway, but it was well before they started Tune in a meaningless game.
  18. Melton is probably a locker room guy that everybody loves and they tried to invent a way to lie to themselves to keep him on the team. They know he can't play WR and now they know he can't play CB so the jig is probably up this off-season.
  19. Yeah, accurate. Arguably the worst set of CBs in the league even when fully healthy. But Dallas waited for him to be healthy enough to throw him in a game, he apparently didn't play very hard, then they cut him to avoid an injury settlement and save a bunch of cap for next season. He's an upgrade if he wants to play, is he likely to make a big difference? Probably not.
  20. He's awful. Probably not any worse than what we have on the team. This just happens any time someone's cut at a position of need and it's a name someone's heard of. He's firmly mediocre and has been injury riddled for some time now.
  21. The Bears could absolutely win the NFC. It's just that kind of year. And I think Philadelphia has rallied at just the right time.
  22. I don't think they're winning any games but I can at least entertain things going their way in Chicago without dumb fumbles etc. I think SF or Seattle will absolutely demolish them. SF might run for 300 yards.
  23. I mean their defense IS bad. They are a pummeling OL team that doesn't turn the ball over. Their defense forces turnovers but gets eaten up pretty well. Just not a believer that falling ass backwards into the playoffs to travel is going to end well.
  24. NFL has always been about trend of play. They're more hurt than they were even two weeks ago, Chicago is peaking offensively, and I think many of them have mailed it in as well, even if subconsciously. I wouldn't take any wager on the Packers with a 7 point spread in Chicago at this point, personally.
