    I said the same thing. And I was literally in the process of saying we have the best top 2 WR tandem we've had in a while, and then Golden does that. But probably the best tandem we've had since Nelson and Jennings.

    They get a linebacker lined up on Golden and don't test him downfield, then throw a terrible pass to the only spot he might make a play on it.

    "First nine years of his career with the Packers" is wild to hear. Can't believe this is Clark's 11th season. He just doesn't seem that old.

    This team should only be running like 10 runs a game only after repeated passes set up a favorable look. It's a completely wasted down to try to line up and pound the ball.

    Cleveland is the softer matchup but at least Tampa eliminates any rainouts or 30 degree games.

    I appreciate the week off giving us time to revel in it a bit. If we win it, there is going to be a moment in the aftermath where you realize it's over and get a bit sad. This is the best part.

    I think Miz delivers. He'll be well-rested, I'm sure he's not happy with the last 2 starts. Just too good to not have one 'wow' start. I think the stars have aligned though, and I am thinking the Brewers in 4 or 5. They are on a mission. Their mild reaction on the field both series said a lot. Then to hear Bauers confirm it in his press conference, that the Dodgers reaction last year stuck with them. He compared their celebration to a handshake line in spring training. They don't feel like they have achieved anything yet.

    I'm not sure if anyone else has seen the "Dodgers tanked the NLCS to avoid a salary cap" conspiracy but I think you should be arrested if you publicly say something so stupid.

    Not that he was awful, but if you showed me his line, I'd guess we escaped the first round and got swept again.

    Thought that more in 2010 actually. There was an even an article on ESPN.com at the time about this, that GB snagged a title before they'd hit the peak. That was mostly right, their offense was far better the following year. But yeah, for many reasons, they still haven't been back.

    I guess I just don't look at it like that. I obviously want to see us win, but if we don't this team will always be really special. I guess unless we win next year or something. But just getting to a WS was a huge thing for me. I do think we're going to win though. I think we are simply the best team.

    May has 2 appearances in which he was 3 IP in each with 2 and 3 ER respectively. 7 hits, 2 walks in those 5 innings and the only HR, a very bad one, we surrendered in the NLCS. His other appearance was 1IP and nothing. I don't know how he's done well or a good job. If anything it seems like you might be lucky to get a single inning out of him, but that's it. His last 2 regular seaosn appearances were almost exact replicas of what he did in his two poor playoff outings. The dude is just fried.

    I don't think Bud physically can but maybe a family member. He and Yount are good choices. My guess though is Bob Uecker Jr.

    Most likely because they figured they were going to lose and may as well let him eat a couple innings. No need to pile on May any further though.

    What a story it would be for the Brewers to win the World Series with a contribution from Woodruff. Truly the cherry on top of this season.

    I think that's just the nature of the series. It's not like football, or a Game 7, where there's a swing in a quarter and you experience the whole spectrum of emotions in 20 minutes. We had time to digest this, even though it never felt safe, last night lacked the true feeling of disaster even if they'd given up 3 in the 9th. There would be doom and gloom, but still a path forward. Same reason last year didn't hurt too much by Game 4. We gave up by then and had started processing already. Without the threat of an immediate end, a more subdued reaction is pretty natural. The Mets playoff loss was probably the worst I've ever felt watching a game because you experienced the full swing in such a short time.

    It means anything is possible even with the deck stacked against you. Forget about the Dodgers payroll, but everything it took MKE to get there. I find myself constantly thinking of all the nameless scouts and such that played bigger roles in the entire build than any of us will ever know. Some may be out of the game completely, others with other teams by now. Whoever first saw Miz and told his boss he's worth a look, or whoever came to management and said David Hamilton might be worth a discussion, etc. Someone who said Gary Sanchez is worth kicking the tires and then the guy comes up with a pivotal AB in what is probably going to be his only PA of the postseason. I was born 5 years after '82 so that season has mostly just been a mythical thing we aspire to but with no expectation it would ever happen. I accepted that a long time ago. I remember 2008 as much as any season, and how big of a deal it was just to get back to October. Nobody was upset we lost. In 2018, I was pouting on the drive home from Game 7. My wife consoled me with something like "Brewers games are just a hobby people here do for fun; they're not supposed to win anything." Well maybe not, but they did.

    Good for him but I really hope he is never invited back for any ceremonial things. I'm sure he will be, but he can get lost for all I care. This is not Mike Holmgren, Brett Favre or Giannis. This is a guy who chose to go to their biggest rival not when things were being rebuilt, but in the midst of their ascension for yes, money, but also because he "knew" it was an easier path to winning with more money to blow. At least on the diamond, he's gotten exactly what he deserves.

    Ted Perry had a wonderful moment with a young fan with cerebral palsy that is probably going to make the rounds. Made him start crying and he had to cut to the studio.
