  1. C'mon. The defense deserves at least a FG now.
  2. We've gotten sloppy but as long as they are getting nothing on the ground it bodes well for us..
  3. Dude they stood up the ball carrier for like 3 seconds on the first one lol
  4. This game looked headed for a blowout right before Lewis fumble.
  5. Just me or was there a weird whistle way before end of play on the punt?
  6. Getting absolutely dominated and that lets em right back in it.
  7. They aren't at all built to play from behind so another TD here would be a good omen.
  8. That big contract hurts badly with our current situation. I can't imagine they would have made him the highest paid lineman in NFL history if they knew how well we'd get by without him. Now that's a thought I've had. The Packers in general have been remarkable at churning out OL, so paying one at all that kind of money shocked me. Maybe they saw real value in LT for the next guy, thinking Rodgers's clock was ticking.
  9. Agree. I'll still be optimistic as possible. But they got really unlucky with the timing of giving that contract and then this happening. With him being best buds with Rodgers and all the drama with Rodgers, they had to pay him. I know he's a tier above and is LT as opposed to the myriad of other OL they've rightfully let go rather than pay over the years, but you wonder if they'd done the same with him if not for knowing they had to keep Rodgers happy. I'm not all that worried about his future. I think they have to weigh trotting a guy out who probably doesn't have his lungs back in horrible weather on a leg that's not 100%, when they have been doing a nice job without him. I think he'll be fine next year, but remember he did this injury a calendar year ago. Normally when guys have that injury it's midseason and they get some extra time.
  10. I have a feeling Dbakh is done. At least we have practice with that.
  11. It couldn't be just performance. I don't see what purpose cutting him now serves them.
  12. Packers release KeKe to top off a lightning speed fall from grace.
  13. Where is this 10+ team coming from? Arizona was 8-8. I think it was a little of both. He didn't want to play for a doormat but he wasn't going to play somewhere for $2 million. I think there were legit reasons to see AZ as an upcoming team. And the offer he got was better than what most expected, so...I think his reasons were justified.
  14. I feel like nobody here has said SF is a gimme. I've probably come closest to saying that of anyone here. My take is really that they should beat SF, and if they don't, they weren't all that good.
  15. Considering they have to beat LA to play the Packers, it makes sense for him wish for it.
  16. I'm going with Buffalo out of the AFC. I didn't get to see them much this year but look at the games they lost. Almost all of them are extremely close games and their expected W-L is 13-4. The best scoring defense in the league and 3rd in points scored. They give me 2010 Packers vibes.
  17. We should beat either one however I have a lot of faith in Stafford throwing the ball to the wrong team in a catastrophic situation at least once. Brady did that 3 times last year but that is the first thing that comes to mind when I think of Stafford. Just can't see that team beating the Packers. It's one of those things where beating Tampa would feel the best, but losing to them would be the worst.
  18. I think it worked out exactly how I wanted once we couldn't draw Dallas in the 2nd round. Tampa and LA beat each other up, I think that's a good match-up. The Packers get a team they really should beat, while (me personally anyway) can hope someone disposes TB for us. Philly would have been a dream but I knew that wasn't happening. Anything can happen though. I remember leaping from my seat when Romo threw a pick to the Giants to lose in 2007. "Yes, we get the Giants! We're going to the Super Bowl!"
  19. I'll be worried when they go down 2-0 in the first round.
  20. Disagree. He had a meh rookie year (which isn't really that uncommon for WRs) and was putting together a nice Y2 campaign. He would have probably been an 1,100ish yard WR at 22 with better numbers than a few guys on your list. It's normal for WRs to take some time. Calling him "mediocre at best" a handful of games into his second season is more than a bit disingenuous. It's fine to call him a reach when drafted but he was starting to look productive this season. I don't think judging players based on where they are picked in their position group is too fair. Most picked first don't end up the best in their group.
  21. I've been an AZ skeptic and viewed them basically like Dallas most of the season. Good enough to be a playoff team but once there was nobody to beat up on I didn't think they'd be all that good. I don't get the Murray hype at all. Just continually unimpressive every time I watch him play. As soon as he actually has to make a difficult throw he just looks like any other bum. I'm going to go 6-0 this weekend which is crazy...wish I'd put something down. TB/LAR should be a really good game.
  22. To be fair...Ruggs looked well on his to becoming a star before the whole thing went down.
  23. JJ Watt activated in the latest player out for the season who isn't out for the season.
