  1. Right, you're talking about the desperation heave from his own 40 with like 20 seconds left and no timeouts. Just admit you want the guy to fail. It's beyond transparent. The underthrow to St. Brown was worse than either of the picks by a wide margin. Could have been interesting if that's on target. I thought he did a nice job overall, unfortunately the silly bouncing INT and the prayer throw will make it look worse than he was.
  2. I mean we have gotten a pretty good look at him twice now, do you like what you have seen? Yes actually. He had a number of really good throws today. One was a dropped slant. He had a nice deep ball that was dropped, outstretched arms, but should have been caught. He had a broken play on 3rd down under pressure where he gave the WR a chance at a catch in the end zone, who then couldn't make the grab. Let's remember he spent most of the game with St. Brown and Winfree. His worst throw was missing St. Brown on the last drive. I thought he did fine.
  3. They should let Rodgers play in GB as long as he wants to. But can we chill on this. He had 41 seconds to score a TD from 80 yards out. Everyone will attempt a crappy throws in that scenario because there isn't an alternative. A rusher came in unblocked and he was going to get sacked.
  4. I don't put a whole lot of stock in it.
  5. They all just babble and are forced to fill way too much space with more words than should ever be necessary. How you guys find any of them all that distinguishable has always blown my mind. The only time I notice them is when their voice is actually grating, like Jerry Glanville or something.
  6. That was another pretty good throw giving someone a chance on a play that looked dead in the water.
  7. Love have made 2 really nice throws that weren't caught.
  8. "Concerned" is what I'd be as a Colts fan, watching them go down 13-3 to the Jaguars with the playoffs on the line.
  9. I wouldn't have cared if they lost 49-0 today.
  10. I think that was a TD before the bobble. Good to see Mason going strong...
  11. Missing a game is significant, to me anyway. It would be like breaking a HR record in more games but saying that it counts the same because the ABs were the same. To me, it's not the same at all. Adams is a better player than Nelson. But to me he's not breaking his record today.
  12. Which is kind of dumb considering the season is a game longer. Well, he did miss one game so I guess you could say it would be a 16 game record. Not to argue about something so meaningless, but to me the fact he gets a mulligan game and still breaks it...means that he didn't actually break it. Unless he'd done it last week.
  13. Which is kind of dumb considering the season is a game longer.
  14. I like the idea of Rodgers just having to go through warm ups and a routine and then maybe play a quarter. But then he should be done. The other skill groups shouldn't see a down IMO. There is zero reason to run Davante Adams around and risk any kind of stupid injury.
  15. Sorry, the injury thing is just a waste of breath. Frankly, laughable to even bring that up as something that should give Brady a leg up. Rodgers has dealt with far more, and consistently all season. Not to mention that Brady is without his best WR because he threw him an ambulance ball. Despite that, he has been more efficient than Brady by any measure. Brady has compiled more yards and TDs by sheer volume. Rodgers has two backs that have combined for ~350 carries. He has a QB rating 11 points higher. He has edged him in QBR. He's clinched HFA with a week to spare (despite missing a game they lost) and has thrown one INT since October 10. He's better.
  16. For the record, do I think Brady may win MVP? Yes, 100%. Do I think he should? No. I think he IS a better leader than Rodgers, where I differ with Turbo is that there isn't a clear separation between their play. Rodgers has been better, a lot better.
  17. Because you are constantly conflating two things. Frankly I think Rodgers is a pretty annoying guy with his tooty frooty zen stuff, grudge holding, and seemingly thinks he is some enlightened being. But you keep bringing up this word "distraction" without any proof. I mean, is it even a stretch to say that AB has been a bigger distraction, stripping his clothes off on the field, during a drive, than anything the Packers endured this year? All the drama seemed to stop the second the season began. I've literally heard nothing but teammate after teammate profess their love for Rodgers. Then they won 13 games. The vax crap is the biggest nothingburger of it all. There are a bunch of unvaccinated players in GB and in the league. A bunch of vaccinated guys missed games. I believe Adams was vaccinated, wasn't he? I really don't think a single player on the team cares about his vax status. Where is this distraction? Other than in op-ed columns by people nowhere close to the team?
  18. Something else needs to be brought up here. The discussion keeps suggesting that Rodgers held some press conference in May to air grievances. That didn't happen. The spat was private until it was leaked to the media and he basically said nothing at all until he showed up to training camp. Just reading the last few pages one would think he was providing daily Twitter updates throughout the summer. So I'm not seeing what exactly he "put his team through." Other than back-to-back #1 seeds. What exactly is the source of this "distraction" other than sports writers claiming there was a "distraction"? If they can go 26-6 while distracted, boy, I'd love to see them focused.
  19. I think you're creating a reach where there isn't one. Brady got him on the team. It's a totally valid point. And it's not like he vouched for Donald Driver. He was a known lunatic, whom Arians said "would be gone with one mistake," which turned out to be a lie, most likely because of Tom Brady.
  20. there's so many ways a person can treat others poorly that don't require resorting to physical violence. I don't know the ins and outs of Rodgers and his family, and don't care to, tbh, but these statements arent the be all end all of being a bad person. He called him the biggest jerk in the league though. It's an enormous stretch. Biggest jerk in the MVP race, maybe.
  21. Rodgers going public with it is quite a big caveat, though. I think it's a fair assessment that Brady galvanizes a team a bit better than Rodgers. Not to say that Rodgers doesn't, but Brady's teammates seem to LOVE him, there are stories about that dating back to his days at Michigan. It's one reason he's been so successful without really a single elite-level skill (as far as arm strength, speed, etc., go)
  22. From following the Twitter trail when the family drama started, it became kind of obvious to me as to what caused at least some of the friction. Both of his brothers were peddling his likeness CONSTANTLY on Twitter. They were selling all kinds of shirts and crappy merch with his face on it. I imagine at some point, he wanted that to stop. His parents took his siblings' side, "Share you spoils, Aaron" kind of thing. This is obviously speculation but I really believe it was part of the deal. It would also align with how petty his brothers have been throughout the whole thing. Aaron has come off as the least insane member of the family, imo. Aaron is smug and overly sensitive. Both are pretty normal attributes of superstar athletes. It is hard not to become that when you are treated like a God for 20 years. I don't even know if I'd go with "jerk," but he can certainly be petty. Not the kind of person with whom you want to fall in bad graces. Personally, I don't think any of that should factor in to MVP.
  23. "Anyone can beat anyone, may the best team win!" makes for an awfully boring week between games.
  24. Agreed. The Brady factor is real and after 7 championships there's just no way to feel safe that you're going to beat him until you have.
