  1. I'd die laughing if this were blocked and returned for a TD.
  2. If I'm Oakland the ball doesn't go in the air again.
  3. I would also like a tie because I hate Roethlisberger.
  4. What a game. Wow.
  5. Absolute worst scenario for me is the Packers get Sunday afternoon as I have a flight that night...
  6. Monday?? They do that last year? If the Packers get the Rams, that would then have to be Sunday I assume.
  7. I think he's traded if they don't win the NFC and if they win the Super Bowl he returns.
  8. If Rodgers was actually serious about retiring after this season, why bother with the whole display this past offseason? Unless winning the Super Bowl motivates him to retire, which...I just don't buy. He's playing too well. I mean, really, with the make-up of the NFC right now, this could be a better time than any in his career to pile on a 3rd or 4th.
  9. Losing the NFCCG is not an early exit. There are 28 teams in the NFL every year who wish they made it that far. This was in reference to the divisional but I digress...in the case of the Packers, in their 3rd straight year of having a bye...yeah, the NFCCG is an early exit. The Packers aren't the other 28 teams. Not even winning the conference again is a big time failure. There is absolutely no "well this was a fun season anyway" angle here.
  10. It's the Half Baked cameo for me. Sad news.
  11. I feel no animosity toward TB12 at all. I would just like to get another Super Bowl. Once we are eliminated I couldn't care less. He can go win 7 more for all I care. Wouldn't put it past him either. What's actually pretty remarkable is that he has 7 despite a decade dryspell in the middle after his 3rd.
  12. Just because its your opinion (or even consensus opinion) doesn't make it a fact. A fact would be that Bart Starr was 5-1 (.833 W%) in NFL Championship Games, while Brady is 7-3 (.700 W%) in NFL Championship Games. That is hilarious... Brady being the best all time QB is as close to factual as it gets. No other QB is even close to winning 7 super bowls. I get it, people hate agreeing with the fan of another team, but Brady is the GOAT, and it isn't even debatable. You're not really understanding what was said there are you?
  13. If that happens it will prove the defense has been fool's gold all season long. Another early exit this year and you might have to think about tearing it down and starting a rebuild, even if it means trading Rodgers. The haul they could get for him would be a great start. If they were to lose to 10-7 SF in their first game I think that would be it for Rodgers in GB. He would wiggle his way out I think.
  14. The 49ers in 2019 were way better than the Packers. If anything we lucked out getting Seattle at home that season. Last year, although I thought we'd win the NFC, it was more of a 50-50 between TB and GB and it was a much better game. This year I see GB as a clear favorite but won't ever count the Bucs out. I don't see any other team as a real threat and again, if the 49ers beat us at home, we choked.
  15. It's the playoffs, we're not gonna get to play the Jets. I'm sure you could cherry pick reasons why each team may not be ideal for us, however I do not understand any kind of fear of playing SF. QBs ultimately drive the NFL and I would rather face their crop than Stafford, Dak, or Brady. I think Arizona is done, so maybe I'd rather get them...but if we were to lose the 49ers...I maintain it's because we most likely suck. I'm wondering what likely divisional opponent those of you questioning my post would rather face? I highly doubt AZ or Philly makes it out of next weekend. You would rather play the Bucs, Cowboys or Rams over the 49ers? Considering we can't play #2 or #3 the question is most likely would you prefer SF or LA. I think we'll run over either one, tbh. Then shank a game winning field goal the next week.
  16. SF in the divisional round? No thank you, not at all the matchup I would want. A team with an elite TE and good offensive weapons that can run the ball schematically? Seems like a lousy matchup to me. I'm sure they'd get Deebo out in space as much as possible and maybe even draw up some things for Lance. The Eagles would be the only divisional matchup where I'd be thinking, "this should be pretty easy." Meh. If we lose to a 7-loss team at home in January, we stink.
  17. Actually, I think his talent is pretty obvious. The decision-making and just general awareness appear to be lacking at the moment. But the physical talent is rather obvious.
  18. Favre quit. He would have been a starter in 08 again had he made that decision in March, but he quit and tried to unquit. If Rodgers were to retire and then show up at camp, I imagine they'd do the same to him. I think everybody needs to take a step back and accept that there's a middle ground where our next QB is good but not a HOFer.
  19. As far as I can tell it actually looks impossible for NO/TB matchup next weekend. It's just a question now if the final team in is SF or NO. I think I'd rather see SF get in. There's real potential for Dallas to lose next weekend I think, and that could potentially bring SF to Lambeau which I think would be as nice of a divisional game as we could ask for.
  20. I'm sorry guys but these takes are just beyond reasonable. He's not going to EVER be a great QB because he missed a deep throw down the middle of the field? They all miss throws. We've got almost no sample here. The reality is that until he's given control of a team, not spot cleanup duty and Week 18 preseason squad, will we actually know what kind of player he's going to be. Rodgers himself was largely a joke until a good half in Dallas in his third season. Nobody was high on him until that game. Give the guy a chance to fail. A realistic chance.
  21. I think that's right and in my opinion, ideal. One of LAR/TB knocking the other out is a good situation. I'd prefer Dallas or anyone else to either of them in the divisional. It would also be ideal for Tampa to face the Saints again if possible.
  22. Rodgers is going to be MVP and I think by a substantial margin.
  23. Is it Chargers and Raiders in if they tie? Why just not collude to do that, lol.
  24. I just call it like I see it, and I haven't liked what I saw. The second interception is not so much the interception, although that was bad. It was the decision to throw in the middle of the field with no time outs left. I can't remember who the intended receiver was, I think ESB, but it looked to me he wanted to let that ball drop incomplete to save time. If he catches that ball they might not even have time to run one more play. Certainly not two. He had like 1 second to throw. A guy literally charged at him untouched. The game was already firmly in miracle territory, with the time left, picking up a huge chunk of yards was probably more important than lobbing the ball out of bounds to preserve a Hail Mary opportunity. INT or incomplete pass that game was coming down to a very low-percentage throw one way or another.
  25. Exactly. He may very well stink. The absolutism that "it's just not there" is just a bunch of nonsense. There's no way anyone could tell that right now and I'm 99% certain the same people were saying the same things about Aaron Rodgers.
