Never really believed the Dodgers would lose anyway. -
I can't believe this game is still 4.5 hours away. I am out by 10pm most nights and really feeling last night's binge.

Is anything really a brilliant move when the alternative is likely you lose the game and your season is over? It's not much of a decision. You have to survive and deal with the consequences after.

I know it's dumb because it's a completely different set of guys but Buehler has always given me Brewer-killer vibes.

No chance this happens but it's what I would do. I get every argument against it, but we need to win one game. I would throw the best we've got up against their crapola and just try to end this thing.

9pm start seems insane to me. I can't believe that 8pm would be that much worse for TV.

We just haven't looked good enough in any game to inspire confidence for me. Lots of LOB, poor defense, whatever committee approach we have tonight on the mount, which may work, but could also go sideways. It just feels destined to go back to MKE. They got Miz as well, it just feels very 50/50.

He is just so injury prone that the best option outside of a fantasy where he can just be released at no consequence, is letting him DH, eliminate any chance of being hurt in the field, and hopefully get himself right enough to be a + DH. This season it obviously didn't work.

Yeah, that is the problem they have. A cluster of guys who are literally or close to unplayable but happen to be their best hitters. Then Yelich who is unplayable but can't hit, but kind of has been lately so he sort of has to be the DH. The problem has been exacerbated by the incompetence of others like Turang.

I agree. How bad the defense has been is an alarm. But this series is a hair from being 3-0 and over in either direction.

Well that's actually part of why everyone hates his usage. He'll get maybe one pinch hit AB which is not what baseball is about. Like anybody else he needs volume. This is not a great offense. We have a single hitter over .300 and he sees the plate like a backup catcher. I'd like to think the Brewers are too smart for this, but it does seem like other guys get more chances because they're "gritty" and Murphy "believes in them" or whatever. Mitchell is up there looking like a pitcher.

Yelich being unable to play anywhere is really a problem because it makes it harder to get Vaughn's bat in the lineup and we have like 4 decent bats right now giving us nothing at the plate. I actually want Yelich hitting it's gotten so bad.

We really have people signing off on 6 ERA projection games for May as if 3 freaking clean innings is unreasonable to ask for. I know everyone is frustrated with the hitting but please no I am not signing up for Vaughn and Bauers as corner infielders. That goes against everything that got us here. Vaughn's been wasted, but that's not the answer.

May sucks but the difference in the game is the 12 or whatever we stranded, and the unearned run. 3 ER was winnable, even 4 was, if one of our hitters actually came through.

"What a play"? That was as routine as it gets. And my God, the play by play calling it like the World Series clinching out. I usually roll my eyes when people complain about homerism, but this has been insane.

Blech. I know you don't give an AB away. Can't be upset about any of that, but I just hate the way it lucked out with Chourio coming up with 2 outs rather than leading off a clean 9th.

Once Pratt didn't get on, I kind of wanted this to be 1-2-3. Don't bring Chourio up with 2 outs and one on first.

I don't want to put the cart before the horse as this series is in no way over yet. But the showing of the offense has not inspired me for a series with LA after what happened last year.

Which was more ridiculous, SD not being charged a challenge or the broadcast immediately saying the Brewers have been doing that much worse.

The official call has to be an E6 but it's still a nonsense matter of record. He's got a runner right in front of him and a bat flying in his face. I get it. Just think it sucks.

Yeah, never mind. Way too much bad defense this series for what should be our calling card. This series going back to Milwaukee.
