    I don't know. I wouldn't go that far but who exactly is the NFC favorite? I would have said the Rams, but they'll likely be out of the goofy dome which is an entirely different animal. Do you think Darnold is to be feared? I guess the Eagles have the pedigree. Do you fear Carolina? I don't see a clear cut favorite. I don't see a reason the Bears can't win the NFC. Good on them if they pull it off. More than the Packers have done for 15 years.

    The greatest need on the team is CB. Not even close imo. You can at least pretend some of that OL can be coached up. Nixon is last week's sewage. Hobbs sucks. OL get drafted every year so I guess I hope one of them hits. Underrated need is probably also RB. Jacobs's age is deceiving, lots of wear. The receivers are a slew of average, Watson is a star if he can stop getting hurt, the rest of them basically suck. Doubs should be working at Qdoba. No clue what Golden is. Never got a real chance to play. Williams just looks very slow. Don't really have major concerns elsewhere as long as guys can heal. And maybe invest 2 roster spots in purely ST players.

    Yep and the other thing that's clear is Ben Johnson will still make good on his love of beating MLF twice even though he got mocked for it 2 weeks ago.

    Love played the best football of his career this year and it will go mostly under the radar because they are hapless in other facets that cost them anything meaningful. Actually reminds me of Rodgers 2009 season where he clearly elevated but they didn't really go anywhere so nobody cared.

    I've seen this clip going around and yes he gets obliterated, but this happens, and he honestly played pretty damn well last night. This clip is in the abyss if the Packers win the game. Their OL was generally really good last night. Wasted effort.

    Then why were they a 99.1% chance to be the 2 seed? The seed you are for some reason pretending was some distant fantasy? Because LaFleur is such a great coach? Someone here is asinine but it's the guy in your mirror. I'll give you this, the coaching is definitely "consistent." It's the consistent result one would expect from a HC giving jobs to his friends and letting them keep said jobs.

    Having the highest amount of best players at various positions is in no way some determining factor of having the best team. This is not baseball. The very structure of NFL teams is such that usually some other team has more of the best players at various positions because the best team is paying the best couple guys at the most important ones a boat load of money. You don't have to have the best safety, corner and OG when you have Mahomes. You'll beat the team that has that most of the time. Most of the Rodgers teams absolutely didn't have the best players at most of the positions. It's some random attempt at making the Packers seem untalented that just is not their problem.

    I'd have to agree about last night in particular. All things considered they seemed to be schemed awfully well until the defense completely imploded for its last 3 drives. Always a thing or two you wanted called differently but MLF is not why they lost. This team has kicked us in the balls so much that asking for health isn't enough. They could be the best and healthiest team in history and I'd be just waiting for the choke. It's what they've become.

    They did something about it. Probably why they've won a Super Bowl in the last 15 years and still have a chance to get another one.

    That supposed mediocre talented team has essentially clinched their division this morning by sealing what was a 99.1% probability of victory. And it's the second 95+ such game they've lost in a single season. Post doesn't even make sense. You're a pretending the 2 seed was some far fetched dream when it is exactly where they should be. Literally recover an onside kick with a game your back QB played and without your best defensive player, and they are essentially a clinched 2 seed. Football is not and never has been decided by individual player ratings. This isn't baseball. You are leaning on a very weak excuse as to why this season unraveled. You're excusing it as a talent problem when every piece of evidence shows that isn't it.

    It's just a coping mechanism. It's not reality based. It's gotten so ridiculous that I think we could go another 30 years without anything and people will still be talking being grateful because their grandpa said the team used to be really bad. The Packers are a 43-win NBA team right now and people are convinced they are something other than that.

    I am not afraid to play the Bears. It's not unique to the Bears. I am just of the mindset that if you plopped the Packers into a playoff game against the Jets they would find a way to make it close. Reason goes out the window with the Packers. I have absolutely no faith in them. I have already mapped out how the Packers season ends: they'll block a game-winning field goal attempt but recover it and fumble, giving the Bears a fresh set and a second kick.

    Playoff loss won't sting me. I am already numb after last night. Honestly it would have been worse. Had they closed it out 16-6 nobody would be overly concerned about playing the Bears, now everyone will expect to lose the game. The Packers would have blown it either way, so at least they prepped us for it. Not entirely sure they will even get there though. Baltimore has plenty to play for and Minnesota would love to take us out. And their internal psyche can't possibly be great at the moment.

    Holmgren? His second to last season was losing the Super Bowl. He left after the 98 season that ended in a controversial playoff loss in SF. I don't think he fits. If anything, they should have given him the GM job that he wanted rather than letting Mike Sherman have it just a short time later. I think LaFleur sucks but I think he will be back. The injuries will earn a mulligan, even though imo they shouldn't, because they still lost a bunch of ridiculous of games prior to then. They can still extend him and then fire him a year later.

    I'm legitimately convinced that anyone claiming the way the Packers lose games is not unusual is either on their payroll or playing a character of some kind. This is not normal, other teams fans around the league consistently use the Packers as a choking punchline. It's not a spoiled fan base or entitlement. It has become their league wide identity.

    Ok guy. The NFL #7 seed is the new NBA #8 seed. I'm glad being the last team in the playoffs is some kind of achievement for you. Some of us would like to actually get to the Super Bowl again, it's been 16 years, it wasn't yesterday. We have the reached the excuse-making plateau when people are still saying we should remember the 80s, a period 40-45 years ago, as a reason to be grateful for consistently choking away games with a 90+% win probability. We just lost our division championship on a game that reached 99.1% win. And you are giving it the "Aw shucks" treatment. That's not entitlement.

    The expectation this time would be a loss which is always easier. But I have no doubt they would string everyone along, play 3 good quarters and then have a FG blocked and returned for a touchdown to lose. I dunno. Something. I would genuinely prefer just an all-out collapse to 9-7-1, no playoffs, whimper finish. They aren't going to the Super Bowl and another nap of a playoff game isn't something I need.

    Irrational take. Both the offense and defense are in the top 10 in the league. They are losing these games in astounding ways that often stem directly from coaching. I can have it both ways because the vacancies are vacant because the teams are awful. The good teams don't typically fire their coach. You are saying that Cleveland, Arizona and Tennessee will be more attractive options than Green Bay. You know deep down that is baloney. And I think you also know there would a line around the block to coach in Green Bay. I think you are the one not making any sense. They're completely mediocre but both guys should be extended because they can't be any better. There's a rational argument to keep LaFleur and Gute. That they couldn't possibly get someone better isn't it. So the Browns, Titans or Cardinals would be more attractive to the top candidate than the Packers? Maybe it's time to just admit you exaggerated something? There's a rational argument to not fire Matt LaFleur. The argument that they couldn't possibly get a good candidate to replace him is is anything but rational.

    Ah there it is. The old "spoiled fan base" cliche. Spare me. Look around the league at the upcoming vacancies. It's very rare that a 10 or 11 win team has a vacancy. Not worth discussing if you genuinely think GB wouldn't be one of the top jobs out there. You are usually talking about a revolving door for the Jets or Raiders. They would have interested parties up the wazoo. Just a completely unrealistic thing to say. That goes for the GM as well.

    14 teams make the playoffs now. The floor required to make a change shouldn't be being a league doormat. You don't need to be the Raiders or Jets to see there is a functional problem here. I am so sick this mentality that we should be indentured servants to the Packers because they give us a loss in the Wild Card or divisional consistently. Why this fanbase is content with mediocrity is just astounding to me. I think it's just a way to cope with pretending these chokes are normal and everyone has them. They don't.
