I like our odds to gut this one out regardless of what happens here. They are burning through arms and don't have great ones. If we keep it to 3 I like our odds. -

Again, people don't like May because his ERA is approaching a decent OPS. Why are you pretending this is the first time he's looked bad?

I don't think it's even to pump up his guys. I think he knows exactly who LaFleur is and does it to get under his skin. He knows he is able to manipulate his behavior and decisions during a game by getting under his skin.

Starting May is a defensible decision. I thought after seeing him hit 99, the plan was to have him only go 2 or 3. Having him give up 2 runs, which still were pretty hard fought runs, wasn't the end of the world. When he gave up that moonshot I was certain he wasn't coming back out. Comes out and looks wild as hell. It was just dumb. That said, this forum's steadfast defense of an awful pitcher who joined the team well past his prime and did nothing but suck is honestly incredible. I'd expect this treatment of like a washed up Yovani Gallardo, but the inability of some to just admit he's been an absolute flop is completely mystifying. He absolutely shouldn't be on an LCS roster if there is one.

Literally any of the other 12. Any of them. I don't really care if they throw 84. They can't be worse then Mr. 6.00.

He's a starting pitcher with a 6 run ERA in Milwaukee and this is a playoff game. Stop. It shouldn't be this hard. Just stop.

Maybe because of his entire body of work since becoming a Brewer? My God. When are people going to admit this. I cannot believe how hard it is.

What does this post even mean? That May is somehow comparable to Miz because they both gave up two runs once? The guy sucks, people. He's been bad for a couple years, and substantially worse than even that since putting on a Brewers uniform.

That should be the last pitch May ever throws for the Brewers. Enough already. I get tonight's decision, it made sense, but there is no milk left in that cow.

I am not saying you're suggesting this, but I really hope I don't have to hear how injuries derailed this season next summer. This team looked like absolute doo doo before anyone got hurt. Whenever this topic came up this past offseason and someone would tell me about the all guys hurt last year, I merely replied that more guys would get hurt this year, too. It's just a fact of football life. Five starters will probably miss significant time and you just have to pray they're the supporting variety and not your main guys. This will be a season people just want to forget like 2018. Just over before it started. At least that year we got a month before Rodgers got hurt.

I went and it was the complete experience. The pregame was an awesome environment and then Yeli cracking the opening HR and the magic was palpable, then just a disaster and the Puig HR was probably the lowest moment of my Brewers fandom. Game 6 that series was a much better environment IMO. The resale market was really low for G6, so it felt like fans were there. Game 7 wasn't as good, at least where I was sitting. The median age felt much higher and it reeked of MKE's affluent just latching on to the big event. Obviously there were plenty of season ticket holders but a big chunk of the crowd seemed more casual and spur of the moment.

I like May as well because they're up 2-0 and there is margin for error even though we feel like there isn't. If he obviously doesn't have it you can yank him. If he does you have some faith in him to start again in the LCS. It was just beyond huge for Chourio to get that hit. For everyone's heroics in that inning. This series is tilted completely in their favor if we lose that game. It reminds of Game 4 of the '18 LCS that went to 13 innings and we so painfully almost went up 3-1 only to lose at 2am. It turned the series.

There's just no rest in a playoff run. I still feel like the series completely turns if we don't get this one and then just feel certain it will go back to MKE which I just want no part of.

I got Game 6 and 7. I have had my fill of playoff baseball attending over last decade, but I would want to be there for a clinch. If we're down 3-2 I'll offload Game 6 and wait for a (hopeful) Game 7. Did the same thing last year and it obviously never made it back to MKE. A clinch LCS or any WS game is all I'm really interested in. I went to every home playoff game from 2011-2021 when I had the strip but it's hard to justify the expense if it's not a really big game now.

This team is just really bad. I guess I'm holding out hope they stay afloat any maybe grab a 7 seed somehow as they figure things out...but they look so far from average offensively I just can't see it happening. 2-2 feels like a mirage entirely due to scheduling yet one of those losses was at home to Atlanta and the other was a 4th quarter meltdown.
