  1. Definitely not throwing in the towel and especially not if Giannis is already at GTD level with his injury. If we steal a win tonight with or without him, I will be in full "let's do this" mode.
  2. Is that saying much? That's basically saying they are better than Atlanta.
  3. The closer we get to tip off the more optimistic I feel about the Bucks chances but I know it's just the fan in me. I don't really know what to expect. I think Phoenix is too much for us without Giannis but I don't think the gap is so big that the Bucks have no chance. I wouldn't be totally stunned if they make it competitive.
  4. He'll have an impact even if he doesn't play. I don't care how old these guys are, there is a difference between Giannis being the #1 cheerleader on the bench vs. Kawhi watching emotionless from a luxury box.
  5. Yeah, I have some hope for the Bucks. They seem to have found a rhythm without Giannis and guys are stepping up. They do have substantially more experience outside of Chris Paul so I'm hoping the moment is too big for some of the younger guys.
  6. I'm getting Knicks-Spurs vibes of the season Ewing went out and the Knicks won the East as an 8 seed before just getting overpowered. I think they won Game 1 though. Suns ain't the Spurs, but that's sort of how I see this series going.
  7. Problem is they are getting another break here. I had the Suns winning the West from the start. I think they've been pretty disrespected the entire playoffs, and not sure why the Bucks were seen as everyone's favorite with Giannis. They did beat us twice, yes it was regular season and by 1 point both times, but they beat us. That said, tonight is probably one of the better chances we'll have to steal a game, and I have no idea how injured Giannis actually is. My guess is that if the Bucks are getting run over and down 0-2 or 0-3 they are not going to risk him playing. If it appears he's the difference-maker we need and he is feeling decent, then he will. I don't see the Bucks winning four games without him though. Phoenix has a bunch of guys who can hurt you, not one guy carrying the squad like the last two rounds.
  8. I have nothing bad to say about the Bucks and they gave us a good run, but I'm sensing the Suns in a gentleman's sweep. The absence/health of Giannis catches up to us and there is just too much young talent + the savvy of Paul.
  9. PA announcer is out of line. LeBron looks like a dork doing the flexing and stuff.
  10. Made it down to the deer district and it was a night to remember. Go Bucks. Unreal m What an awesome rally after Giannis going down, I could cry.
  11. I don't think it's really the same type of deal as Wong reinjuring himself. There's risk of injury every time these guys play but I'd leave it to the doctors and Giannis as far as the risk of re-aggravating the same injury so severely that his career is at risk. Wong is in the middle of a season where it makes sense to sit longer if it means you're good for August and September. There is no guarantee of tomorrow for the Bucks (well I guess there is for Game 7). If the risk of serious injury is low, but the risk of playing too soon and being out a month or two is "medium", then I would play. I trust the Bucks won't be idiots with this. If this injury is that bad they're going to tell him no. Sitting Game 6 makes sense...but God I hope they can win it again.
  12. The rumor circulating is that he will play if it goes 7...so basically, just win tomorrow Bucks, he gets time off and can play the Finals.
  13. Yes, if he can't jump or cut there is no point in sending him out there. I don't think Brooklyn was better without hurt Harden. He basically had a triple double in Game 7 and he is lethal just standing around and shooting even though he clearly was hampered. Giannis can't do that. He needs to move, and he is probably the best defensive asset in the NBA. Statue Giannis will be a major liability, especially if he tries to be Superman and puts up dumb shots.
  14. I'm not a big fan of saving anything for Game 7. We should do everything we can to close this out tomorrow. Obviously if Giannis can't go, he can't go, and I don't think they'll let him play if the doctors say he can't. But who knows, if he just got lucky and is a freak healer, I'd love to see him play if it were possible.
  15. Without the crutch of Giannis they were forced to run an actual offense. What it should do is open their eyes to what they could do if they, you know, ran an offense with Giannis in the game. For some reason though I am prepared to watch them stand around and shoot threes in Game 6. I also advocated Portis getting heavy minutes...but at the expense of Lopez
  16. It's pretty encouraging that Giannis was up, moving around and clapping. Meanwhile Young could barely move in pregame. I'm not sure he is healthy enough to even hobble around. I'm starting to think they know his season is over and the day to day thing is just strategy.
  17. I just hope they make 6 interesting to watch and aren't down by 20 the entire game.
  18. Hawks had absolutely zero will to win tonight.
  19. I'm not assuming anything with Trae because I never thought he'd miss a game. A deep bone bruise is a bad injury and could sideline you a month. I think it's going 7 regardless though, I thought we'd win tonight but I anticipate a dud in Game 6.
  20. Well I thought we would need 2/3 of Lopez, Midds and Jrue to have a good game. Looks like we'll get 3/3.
  21. We are fighting, but the way they are hanging around is making me a bit uneasy. A 17-point lead would feel a little more comfy than 8-10. Just like I wasn't too worried down 10 before Giannis injury, this can vanish in 2-3 possessions.
  22. Went from awesome end of half to awful in about 6 seconds.
  23. Stop shooting them, they have 40 points inside. Just stop.
