Nixon out there doing a Jarrett Bush impression. Our corners are pretty garbage for what we threw at Nate Hobbs. Might as well have just paid Stokes $4 million or whatever.
Our defense has not really played well at all. Without looking at the stats we've done ok with TOP, but they have kinda marched down the field on us at will. I think a fumble and one punt in the early going, but most of our defense has been just having the ball ourselves.
It does but it didn't really feel like anything egregious happened. I was ok with every drive. It's gotten them to a lead, with possession to start the half. They should absolutely win this game based on where they are right now. It feels like they've been dominant mostly and the big play has hurt them. The Broncos 2nd TD drive was embarrassing.
Yes and no. I appreciate them draining the clock because it literally takes you about 20 seconds to get a field goal in the current league state. But we have consistently overdone it. I actually didn't hate that call to run it, but we had absolutely no urgency snapping it on the following play.
Lead at half on the road, getting the kickoff is always a win.
Can't be too upset with our standing but again feels like we should have more than we do.
Another dumb ST snafu hurt our field position badly and then some pretty questionable clock management.
Honestly, it's one of those things a la Sterling Sharpe where I actually kinda think him getting hurt made them better, not through any fault of his own, but it forced them to start playing differently. Watson coming back was huge though.
The calls thus far have been beautiful. The plays develop too quickly for the blitz to matter, and that is all Denver does, along with using the run to catch them being over aggressive.
You can rightfully criticize the call but Jacobs is walking for a first down if the block does anything other than allow himself to get pancaked into the ball carrier.
