  1. I would hate it simply because it gives Carolina urgency to kick a winning FG. If you stop them on their side of the field they will punt.
  2. This game has sloppy multi INT vibes all over it.
  3. The FG doesn't really do anything for you but I still would have kicked it and I guess hope the defense does something. Assuming he makes it is a bit of a leap at this point though.
  4. I'd kick the FG. This is a low percentage play here and I'd just want some point. Then hope a TD gives you a lead.
  5. Wow Heath did NOTHING on that screen.
  6. If we are average, the whole league is average or worse. You are what your record is. But we have definitely made this our M.O. McManus is one more bad kick away from possibly finding a spot on the waiver wire. And I hope the Packers win the Super Bowl. But I am fine with the MLF experience ending at any point.
  7. This team is nowhere near as good as the Packers and it would be refreshing to pick up from last week's 2nd half, at home, and beat the brakes off them.
  8. I think the Brewers are plenty close. The competitive nature of TOR/SEA and then TOR/LAD makes me think we just gassed out at a very bad time. Woodruff was big. Then our horses just didn't hit. Perhaps taking out the Cubs was the catharsis for our guys and they just couldn't get going after. Obviously, baseball has structural problems. But if Smith's toe came off the bag, or the catch isn't made, or any number of things, the "we need a cap now" talk is far more muted. This is our first repeat in quite some time, baseball does offer lots of parity. Everyone is sick of the Dodgers being there, yes. I just don't quite feel that it's hopeless for MKE, though.
  9. Bunting really needs to go the way of the punt from your opponent's 43 yard line. They would make sense if you got 5 outs. You just don't get enough opportunities to give one away in my opinion. In the world series with capable hitters at the plate no less. Think Barger was intentionally walked because of it. Set up the DP with Kirk running. Just saw that coming a mile away.
  10. I watched an awful lot of bunts this October that seemed to kill rallies.
  11. He was definitely out, as hard as the internet is trying to make that a controversy. Incredible catch there too.
  12. How lame would a walk-off HBP be.
  13. Still think the Jays walk it off here.
  14. Bichette would look good in a Brewers uniform. Wouldn't even have to change colors.
  15. The biggest fear right now is that Rollins gets Doc'd when KPJ returns.
  16. It sure felt like Ortiz was up an awful lot in huge situations, too. Pretty funny that for all the payroll hang-wringing, it was our highest-paid guy that laid the biggest egg.
  17. Watch a clip of Lopez running the floor in transition and compare it to Turner in one of these games where he's scored 5 points and you'll still be glad he's here.
  18. I'm not saying the Brewers are better than any of the final 4 teams. But I don't think we got swept because of our payroll which has been the persistent narrative. We played like crap and got rocked. The Jays barely got by Seattle. I think all these teams are somewhat close to one another, but as soon as the money team wins that becomes the only possible reason why they did, which I think is bunk.
  19. It would have been so easy to write off our series if they had also mopped the floor with Toronto. I never had any assumptions that we'd beat the AL team, but this has pretty much wiped out the notion that everyone should just bow before LA and they can't possibly be stopped. I think the Dodgers are better than us. I think the Phillies were too. But it's very clear to me that we just played a God-awful series.
  20. Probably, and I'm not sure it's a great way to run your offense.
  21. And to the point of hyperlocal-ness...this was the Cubs first year back in for some time and they played 8 games, which I'm sure contributed heavily to that 13%. They were likely the second-largest viewership in the entire postseason.
  22. Baseball is by far the most hyperlocal of the major sports. The vast, vast majority of fans can't name anyone outside a handful of guys who don't play for their favorite team. Compare that with football where a ton of fans could name close to every starting QB in the league and all the best skill players. I guess I'm not surprised that a Canadian team playing the Dodgers is a bore for most of the country. The largest markets of NY and CHI likely are diametrically opposed to watching anyway. I would have guessed that DWTS would outpace it. It's a show with a far more diverse audience.
  23. I'm only using memory but I don't think the Packers have had a 1,000 yard player since Adams in 2021. I'm just not sure an MLF offense is the place for one WR to break out. Reed was well on his way last year but then fell off a cliff in late October.
  24. I am not sure why anyone is surprised or disappointed that Golden isn't lighting the world on fire. He is the new guy on the block behind a bunch of guys Love has been throwing to for years and have mastered the offense. It's just standard Packers M.O. for him to get out of the gates slowly. I assumed he'd have like 600 yards this year.
  25. Jaire is a wash out. Baltimore has gotten less than nothing out of him, and he is likely getting cut. That could be it for him.
