  1. I think your points are valid, but I don't think Collins was very valuable. He was like a worse Jesus Aguilar, a guy that everyone knew wasn't going to sustain the level he was playing at. He already had started dipping badly once his name got out there a bit.
  2. I'm glad this season will prevent the Bears from trading for Burrow. But Minnesota will probably be in line.
  3. I'm just not a believer in these teams that are sitting on top without established stud QBs. I don't believe that the Pats or Broncos will beat Buffalo in a playoff game when it really comes down to it. Same thing with Chicago or Seattle. The stars will dictate things when it counts. Not that those QBs are bad, I just don't think they're at that level yet.
  4. They really don't. They blitz on over 1/3 of passing plays. That's where their pressure comes from.
  5. They have white flagged it quite a bit since that game. But that was definitely an epic choke. If the Packers don't win the division, you will likely be able to point to any of their losses or ties, since all of them to this point were embarssments that shouldn't have happened.
  6. Collins screams regression. They got what we could have hoped for out of a AAAA player for a bit, reality settled in, and we got something out of him via trade. I liked Mears. I am a bit disappointed about that. It'll probably work out fine though.
  7. The tie game really wipes out any tiebreaker scenarios. If the Packers win this week or next, it makes it pretty tough for the Bears looking at the final 2 games for both. Dropping the next two probably gives it to the Bears though. I'd like the Packers chances even if they lose next week, if they win today.
  8. This feels like a tough game to win even though I don't think Denver is quite as good as their record. I don't like them coming out of the AFC at all. It'll be a hostile environment against a very good defensive line. They are a much better ST unit and I feel like we're going to do something stupid there to cost us. I am little worried about this team giving vibes of 2021 where the ST unit will cost them dearly in a playoff game. I think the Packers are going to have a tough time holding on to this division, but I also don't think it's going to cost them much in the playoffs. I think the Bears settle the score next week, but it's a wide open field. Going to Los Angeles feels easier than going into Philadelphia. Not a real believer in Seattle, even though you probably should be statistically. Much rather play Darnold than Stafford.
  9. Any relation to Erykah?
  10. You are correct. Completely forgot about Howard Green and attributed Pickett to being the in season WW pickup.
  11. I couldn't care less about it but you'll never get me to believe that it wasn't directly influenced by the "I enjoyed beating him twice" line. MLF doesn't like him, I wouldn't like him, and it was clear with that no-shake handshake. MLF is playing it beautifully as if the guy isn't worth a thought, but he obviously thinks he's a douche, which you probably are if you're going out of your way to name drop a guy who doesn't know you on any level. I think the standard across the league is you stop and embrace for 3-5 seconds and whisper a sweet nothing. They definitely wanted nothing to do with each other.
  12. Ryan Grant, Jermichael Finely, Brad Jones, Brady Poppinga, Nick Barnett, Mike Neal and Morgan Burnett were lost to IR that season. Al Harris never played and was released after coming off the PUP. Woodson got injured during the Super Bowl, too. They had a lot of magic that year finding diamonds in the rough that played huge roles. Starks, Crabtree, Shields, Bishop, the emergence of Nelson. They grabbed Pickett midyear off waivers and he forced the pick 6 Roethlisberger threw in the Super Bowl.
  13. Yes, laugh react, because the stats, which are the definition of objective, say the same thing I'm saying. His numbers get you benched on a losing team. You don't remain a starter throwing 56% with 170 yards a game. He isn't good. The Bears are putting together a good year, he's not the reason why.
  14. Not really logical are you? I spoke in facts. He is one of the least accurate QBs in the league. He, yet again, threw a boat load of passes at a very low efficiency and wasn't accurate. His saving grace is that he doesn't throw picks, except this time he did. Their OL moves the needle. Williams is nothing special.
  15. You are giving him way too much credit. He's one of the least accurate starting QBs in the league and once again he was about 50% with a losing interception.
  16. He sucks, and the best part of this baloney year they're having is that it'll buy him another 2 years as a starter.
  17. Thank God those frauds didn't rob another game throwing for 80 yards.
  18. Yeah that's a good way to put it. Unless we lose in Los Angeles, I get the sense I'll be bemoaning this season as a fairly down year for the NFC where we didn't capitalize. That said it does feel a bit like 2010 where the top seed is vulnerable, the Bears are putting together a questionable campaign and nobody really feels unbeatable.
  19. Turner is a flop. The only path forward for this franchise is trading Giannis. Some very bad basketball will follow that for a bit of a time, but it has to happen.
  20. Carolina was the kind of game that happens, and they aren't a bad team. Cleveland was an embarrassment they had in the bag and had to give away. They are also very lucky they got to kick a tying FG in Dallas because they should be 8-4.
  21. I agree. Something seems off. Also, the Packers-Panthers spread was ridiculous. Carolina isn't even bad.
  22. It must be because they aren't good at anything else. Love, while I agree there's stuff that's not great, might be getting MVP votes if Stafford didn't already have it locked up. Not sure who is playing better other than him.
  23. Lol, that's not even a question. 58% completion and a full yard lower YPA and I would say, he's got better weapons and a better OL. Williams is lipstick on a pig right now. If you glance at yards, TDs, INT, he looks fine. In his last 5 games, Caleb Williams is completing 54% of his passes, with an average volume of 35 attempts. In those 5 games he has surpassed 240 yards a single time and was under 200 yards twice. His normal line is something like 19/35 for 210 yards. About the only thing he's doing well is not throwing picks, I'll give him that, which does matter. Everyone is happy when you're 5-0, but those are numbers that have people calling for your benching. He's not good. He's just not. It's a legitimate miracle they are 9-3 with that defense. It doesn't make any sense.
  24. Make Williams throw, because he sucks. They don't do anything else well. The Bears truly must be remarkable running the ball, because everyone has to know that's what they're going to do. Williams is emblematic of the Bears mirage right now, his stats look decent at face value but you dig in, it gets a lot less impressive. 58% completion is among the worst in the league, bad YPA, bad QBR. Unfortunately for GB they have been soft in the one spot CHI is good, and just lost another cog. It's not really the best matchup for GB.
  25. It's past time to trade Giannis. This team is completely cooked. Personally, I don't get any joy from watching one of the best players in the world fight to go .500. Do him a solid and let him win elsewhere, don't make him demand it. There is no way he wants to be doing this.
