    I guess. I still think Detroit is the 2nd best team in the North and they did put a 50 spot on the Bears. I think Detroit squandered its shot, the choke against SF and just got too injured last year. They're still decent, just not what they've been. It's hard to sustain that level for too long when you don't have an elite QB.

    Correct, sometimes you do win close games. When you are winning every close game, it's an anomaly. Compare the point differential of the Patriots, Broncos, Rams, Seahawks, Packers, Colts and Bears. One stands out very clearly. The Bears are winning games by 1 on fluke plays, winning games where they throw for 100 yards on 38 passes. And they are not winning a game or two like that, it's every game. Someone does this every year and it is never sustainable. They get badly exposed when it counts. Their legit offense? Williams is completing less than 60% of his passes. That's really bad. They can run the ball, I'll give them that. Are the Bears are a terrible team? No, but they are in a class with the Tampas and the Pittsburghs, not the ruling elite. They should be about 6-6, and their reckoning is coming. You can dig back a bit, I liked the Bears this year. Thought they did a lot to make the team better, they have a competent FO, and thought they were a good sleeper pick to be in the playoffs. But 9-3 is a fluke, the stats suggest it's a fluke, and it will proven as such.

    The Rams are clearly better than both. They are the class of the league right now, don't think there's any argument that can be made for another club.

    How was that Bears-Lions game? The Bears will be humbled and it will be funny. I don't know if it will be the Packers or their first playoff game. But I will bet anyone, any amount of money, that the Bears are not playing football beyond the divisional. When you're 9-3 with a differential of +2 and winning games the way they do, you're fake. Everyone has seen this before. It's pretty much the same phoney baloney thing the Bears are every time they have a season like this. They go nowhere and then back to the cellar the following year.

    I think I actually want them to continue their nonsense another week. Hanging a 4th loss on Philly might be more beneficial to us if we can take care of them twice. I am not concerned about playing the Bears at any point. We could drop a regular season game to them, but I just trust us to beat them in the playoffs if it comes to it. Traveling to Philly is pretty gross.

    Punt into the end zone nets like 20 yards. Even not converting that was 100% the right call up by 7. Up a field goal you maybe think about punting, but a punt is completely useless there.

    Yeah I guess you're right. Very disappointed in the defense giving up 7 at the end.

    MLF is the suppressant on this team. This just feels like yet another game that shouldn't be as close as it is and we are a 3rd quarter opening drive away from trailing. I don't get it. Trying not to beat the dead horse but it's just nauseating. I appreciate this is a good half on the road against a good team, but can't quite shake the feeling that it shouldn't be this close with how they're playing.

    Rams, Eagles, Packers. Rams have to be the favorite. Philadelphia will be a very difficult place to win a playoff game. They have the pedigree. Packers would be my #3, if you play defense the way they do and get to the QB, you give yourself a chance. And they have shown they can compete with the stronger teams. Have played in a lot of tight games. The kicking game makes me a bit leery of their playoff chances.

    Rams are definitely the class of the league right now, but I would much rather be forced to play there than in Philadelphia.

    Just an empty, meaningless cliche. They don't rush the passer and they have a decent, not great QB. Statistically, they do nothing exceptionally well. I was a believer in the Bears making the playoffs and disrupting the division, but it's a joke that they are pushing for a 1 seed. I absolutely welcome the Bears taking one of the top playoff spots. They won't go anywhere, and it just prevents an actual contender from being 1 or 2. I think it's all moot though and they'll up at 6 or 7. 8-3 with a -6 differential isn't a coincidence. They are doing the same old Bear crap and will collapse back to 6-11 next season. This season is starting to mirror the Packers last Super Bowl run. Couldn't win their own division, offense struggled throughout the year, Bears won the North, no standout team in the NFC, 27-year-old QB quietly coming into his own without much fanfare, strong defense, star tight end on IR, and the only losses are very close games. It's uncanny, really.

    The Packers are 5th and 4th in points and yards, respectively, on defense. They have had some bad moments situationally, none probably worse than being gashed by Carolina on a game-losing drive, but the weak side of this team is very obvious and it is not the passing defense.

    Well, I don't know how impressive the Packers are, and I could see them losing in the Wild Card, but I also think this is probably the best chance they've had to win the NFC since Aaron's last MVP. The defense will always give them a chance.

    Wilson is better than Jacobs. I've been saying it most of the year. There are other things RBs do that I'm not qualified to analyze, but when it comes to rushing the ball, he's better. He's more explosive, can turn a bad play positive if breaks down at the line. I'm a huge fan of Jacobs, but I think he is nearing the end of his useful life as a star RB. Not knowing the cap dynamics of anything either, but Jacobs would seem to be a candidate to be released this off-season and they go young at the position.

    We should win the division. I am not taking Chicago seriously. They could win it, it does feel like a year where they do win it randomly, but I would welcome a playoff game against the Bears. A Thanksgiving win would probably bury the Lions. Either way they just aren't what they have been. Our defense is good enough that I think we'll be in any playoff game. We'll be in the mix for sure, just not the clear cut favorite people wanted us to be in week 2.

    Packers are just a very, very bad team against the run. I'm confused very often why teams pass on them without ever being stopped on the ground.

    They probably already have the deal in hand that they are willing to offer him. No clue what that is, my guess is something that takes him through around age 35, with the years outside of this one at $15mm AAV. Something like 3/$50m. They can keep having that conversation now without losing him.

    They did but I will at least excuse that they never saw him play for them. They had a year of looking like a SB team under Darnold. Side note on Jones, I definitely blanked on how long he's been in the league. I don't know why I thought this was year 3 or 4 for him.
