  1. The only silver lining is that if we're gonna lose, I'd rather do this than overtime. This is painless.
  2. That really is appalling. It's inexcusable. After 17-0 they should have been in a goal line defense.
  3. He's averaging 10.3 yards on 20 carries. That should never happen in the NFL.
  4. They really had to start hot and they got a chance to do it. Had to score something on that first drive. Even after that, King had to catch that dropped pick. They had to make those kind of plays to have a shot. Yeah they are clearly out-talented here, but it's those first few jolts that can turn a game when you're overmatched.
  5. Won't work for them in two weeks on a team that just contained Henry and will be a hell of a lot harder to defend than us. I supposed they could still win but they won't do it by throwing 8 passes.
  6. It feels like they have 18 players. Those plays were a matter of when.
  7. The team obviously has several issues, but Rodgers will take and deserves some heat at this point. This started out well. A big 3 and out and a couple nice plays, then on 3rd down he badly missed Jimmy Graham and instead went to the flat. They really needed him to be on and he wasn't. I'm not big on pinning W-L on one guy, but it's hard to reconcile an all-timer getting absolutely thrashed like this. I mean it's not on one guy, but he did not elevate them at all tonight the way great players are perhaps unfairly expected to. He's now 0-3 in the playoffs against the team that was going to regret not drafting him.
  8. The first one is the all-time worst moment in the franchise's history IMO. The 2nd and 3rd time they were not even close to as good as the opponent. The narrative matters. Context matters, no matter how upset we are right now with another dud.
  9. Eh. Nobody thought they'd win except me. And I didn't really. I just really wanted to. They're not in the same galaxy as these guys. They're a pythagorean 10-6 team that achieved a lot. It's a shame they have to go out like this and see everything they did achieve tossed in the garbage, but that's life with a franchise QB. If Seattle wanted another close game they should have beat us. I'm at peace with this. I think we all saw this coming but some of us were just being fans.
  10. Ouch. No need for solitude, lol. This is the same game.
  11. Shutting down and going into my superstitious solitude. 23-20 Pack. Good luck everyone.
  12. He's definitely been playing banged up, that's indeed indisputable.
  13. Lame. Really wish they'd let that go just to give us a game. It wasn't even that bad, he did turn around.
  14. That play gives me hope for KC in the Super Bowl. I'm not sure how you botch that defensively.
  15. Yeah I'll disagree as well. He's the most accurate mobile passer that's ever played unless three beers have me blanking on a guy. Can't remember anyone as good at both facets.
  16. The Nigerian Nightmare. In Tecmo Bowl you just ricocheted off him.
  17. Henry is a terrifying weapon. I don't know if there's ever been a player like that. He is just an absolute monster. He looks like a defensive end.
  18. I know it doesn't work this way but if Tennessee wins I feel it's less likely we do. That said, if we play Tennessee, it feels that much more realistic we could be the champs. Absolutely not a gimme but I hate the KC matchup
  19. None. CTE is a big part of the doc. They give many reasons for why Hernandez turned the way he did, just one of which is his extremely advanced CTE; the doctor that tested his brain reported it was by far the most extreme case in someone so young. Borland retired due to concussion concerns, but several ex players are interviewed about head trauma.
  20. I don't know if this has come up but I watched the Aaron Hernandez doc on Netflix and Chris Borland had some pretty unflattering yet not exactly surprising observations of the UW program. Basically made it sound like a painkiller depot. Sure it's the norm at D1 programs but UW tends to have a bit of a holier than thou moral compass. I encourage watching anyway, I thought it was quite good.
  21. Pretty sure the Ravens were a near unanimous champ pick.
  22. Blowout wouldn't shock me but I don't get the confidence in it just because it already happened. They're better than a lot of teams and still played a bunch of them really tight. It's not like they were beating everyone 56-10. I think it'll be close. I think we're going to win but obviously betting with my heart there. I know we're justifiably the long shot.
  23. He said that "so many teams cheat" and listed some teams and said he knew firsthand they cheated. Said Astros cheated since at least 2014. Called the punishment half-assed.
  24. Really wish we were the early game. I need to find something to do.
